  1. We're on the same page. He's been a "my way or the highway" type since Day 1.
  2. It's not even a choice between six, it's a choice between two. How boring.
  3. Oh Tiffany. Don't say "sheisty." It does not mean what you think it means.
  4. Or just send the six who lost. I remember when this happened last season, between the advantages and the idols I think there were only three people eligible to be voted for. It's a dumb gimmick and somebody always gets screwed through no fault of their own.
  5. So everyone can vote, but only six people can be voted for. I hate that. That just seems really unfair. {Jinx!} @LadyChatts
  6. I don't understand this show's obsession with making them crawl through mudpits. I guess they think it's entertaining for us. It's not.
  7. Crawl through muddy net, push the wheel cart, collect sand bags, climb up tower, collect keys, climb boulder up to platform, open crate, build puzzle. Y'know considering the blind draw for choosing teams they could do something that wasn't quite so dependent on the physical aspect.
  8. GIven that neurodivergence can take many forms, including but not limited to dyslexia, it follows that it's not dyslexia, specifically, that causes Anthony to be disorganized, since not everyone who has dyslexia is disorganized. It's associated with dyslexia, sure, but not the direct cause of it. I just wanted to clarify that. I would also note that plenty of disorganized people are not neurodivergent, so it's not necessarily related. I don't mean to cast aspersions but it's possible Anthony just uses that as an excuse not to bother learning to be better organized.
  9. Maybe don't brag about your experiences at tribal council Kenzie. It's not an accomplishment.
  10. It's a faux merge. They will split them into two groups at the immunity challenge and only half will go to tribal. Also, there are 13 people left so someone is a wild card.
  11. Can anyone tell me what in the bloody hell the point of this story was? What brilliant philosophy went right over my head? That we're bugs? Is that it? This was an utter fail at almost every level. Mind-numbing character study with the most boring characters imaginable. "Science" that made no sense whatsoever. Dropped plot points right and left. Zero payoff after eight hours. Eight hours! I just don't understand what this show was trying to say. The series description is "Unsettling events put a group of brilliant friends on edge as a mystery unravels with origins tracing back to China during the Cultural Revolution." So I take it this was supposed to be a story about Jin, Saul, Auggie, Will and Jack. Yet, I still know next to nothing about any of them. Except that they are all broody, pouty, introspective and dull as dishwater. Oh, and two of them are dead now. Banal character study doesn't get more interesting against an intriguing sci-fi premise. Especially when it spends an inordinate amount of time on pointless personal conversations that have nothing to do with said premise. It even fails as commentary on humanity's reaction to such a situation because instead of focusing on the population at large we only get the point of view of these limited, uninteresting characters, and who the hell cares what they think? The show failed to make them interesting enough for me to care about them. I envy you. I wish I had stopped after episode one.
  12. This series is dropping plot points right and left. They made such a huge deal out of the video game then . . . nothing ever came of it. And then the San Ti said they were going to destroy our "science" and they covered the sky with some kind of mirror thing then . . . nothing. Everything was back to normal the next episode. Planes still fly, TV still works, rockets can still be launched into space. Nano fibers can still work.
  13. I'm guessing around 50 based on Rebecca's real age. I'm hoping we find out how she died. We still don't know that. And the crack about her father dying of "old age" when he was younger than this guy is an easy throw-away joke but a common misconception that drives me nuts. At no time in history would 50 have been considered old age. People lived into their 90s even in biblical times. The average life expectancy being shorter back then is the cause of the misconception. When 50% of infants die in the first year the "average" goes way down. Doesn't mean people thought 30, 40 or even 50 was that old.
  14. And that's kind of what he was doing in this episode. Whether he was in the right or wrong, it's only a matter of time before he's going to put his foot down and remind Sam that they come first, not the ghosts. They already do a lot for the ghosts, obviously more than any other occupant of the house ever has, but at some point they have to draw the line, especially when it comes to money they need and which the ghosts can't actually spend.
  15. That's the problem with ads on streaming platforms. There seems to be a very limited number of them so you see the same damn ads over and over again. I guess there aren't many advertisers that want to pay for streaming ads, they still prefer cable and broadcast TV. I don't know why. You can't FF thru the ads when you stream like you can if you record something on TV.
  16. I haven't watched Days of our Lives in ages. The only two actors I recognized were the ones who play Lucas and Belle. And they were much, much younger when I was watching so it was kind of a shock to see how they had aged (and made me feel so old). I also recognized Galen because he used to be on Passions. Didn't recognize the guy who's playing Brady now, but they must be on their sixth or seventh Brady by now. Sometimes I wonder if they regret doing this and showing how dumb they actually are. (To be fair, I didn't know how much money a sawbuck was either.) Also, I'm assuming they cannot see the countdown clock when they're running out of time, because at least twice they missed the opportunity to bank when it was obvious they were going to run out of time before they could answer the question.
  17. I agree they probably have alternates when they cast the season but they're not standing by at the nearest hotel in case someone quits or gets fired. They probably have other jobs and if they're available when called up it's a matter of logistics. We've seen replacements fly in from all over the world. They have to have the necessary certifications, we know that. So someone is going down a list, contacting people, and seeing if they are available and can get there in time. They just seem to rub each other the wrong way. Both take whatever the other says way too personally and read too much into it. I don't think Fraser is being "shitty" to her, although he isn't managing his stews very well overall. Xandi has some issues with her as well so I think Barbie is just one of those people that can be hard to get along with. Even when she's giving simple answers she can come across as sarcastic.
  18. Did Chummy have a baby? I don't remember that. I remember she married the cop then went off to run the home for wayward girls and then they never mentioned her again. So many nurses have come and gone over the thirteen seasons. It's why I'd hate to see them write Trixie off, she's one of the very few originals left.
  19. Criminy this episode was boring. I don't understand what the story is here. Especially with this episode, if feels like a very mundane and uninteresting character study set against an intriguing premise that isn't being utilized properly. The story is dragging because it spends most of its time on characters that are boring and sit around engaged in either meaningless chatter or waxing philosophic. I don't have much hope for it at this point, with only two episodes to go and with the amount of time that's being spent on characters who sit around at a beach house. I don't even understand the point of Will and Saul, they don't seem to be contributing anything to the premise at all. If there's some deep purpose they're serving it's totally going over my head.
  20. Kerry is trying to get another stew but the supplier (?) keeps texting it's the busy season and he/she's working on it. Someone else is getting the boot though, judging from the previews. If I had to make a guess right now I'd say Anthony is the most likely candidate. I don't think Barbie will be fired.
  21. Monday's show was really good. All three comics worked well together. My favorite bit was JoJo Siwa road rage. But I don't like the games where they have to guess whether the panelist is telling the truth or not. I'd just prefer they show the beginning of a video clip and then make up how it ends. That would probably be a lot funnier. Also, I don't get the point of "whisper your wager into your podium." That just seems dumb.
  22. I'm finding the show a slog to get through. The premise is intriguing, but the characters are not. In fact they are quite boring. The entire story of Will having pancreatic cancer and inheriting Rooney's fortune seemed like a pointless waste of time. Auggie is boring, she is entirely one-note and I know next to nothing about her. Now, the ship getting sliced to ribbons with the nano-fibers was pretty cool, I'll admit. But it didn't make a lot of sense compared to easier options.
  23. That line made zero sense. I also didn't understand - at this point - why Wade was so obsessed with stopping these aliens if they're not going to get here for another 400 years. At the rate we're going we'll probably destroy the planet ourselves long before the aliens ever get here. BUT, having seen the next episode, this played out like Wade read ahead. So it seems like the writing isn't very good.
  24. I thought the same thing about the husband, he looked way too young! Hmm. You aren't by any chance referencing Grey's Anatomy now are you? Yeah, this is weird. If Trixie thinks she's Lady of the Manor why is she still working? She strikes me as someone who would have quit her job the split second after saying "I do."
