  1. LOL. This show is something else. Swords and Serpents? Why? What exactly do they need a club for? Why you so mad Jug? Wasn’t it jusr a few weeks ago in show that he didn’t want anything to do with them? Ripping off any storyline from One Tree Hill is never a good idea and it seems the show wants to inherit their timeline issues as well. FBI Agent? Right. First, Archie has TWO parents and second, their investigation relies on the sleuthing skills of a irrational teenage boy?! I think I’m only watching for Cheryl at this point...and FP ;)
  2. I don’t like it either. Ian is paramedic who recently returned from helping his ex flee the country then shortly after his mother dies and he gets a big tat in her memory because he’s the only one who cares plus he’s bipolar and then there’s that whole thing with Trevor and the writers decide to...I don’t even know (or care) about what’s happening here. Poor Carl. Nobody cares that he married crazy...even if it isn’t valid.
  3. Right? I’m grown and I would say yes to a man who asked me out like that and 17 year old me... well :) Not a fan of Randall’s entire storyline this season (a building really?) but I can’t see why Beth was so eager for Randall to be working he’s had a pretty stressful year and I can’t see how returning him to that environment would be helpful. Now if she was pushing him to try therapy? Then I would definitely be on board with that. I agree. These past two episodes were Kate’s best and the most I’ve liked her since the show started.
  4. I came here to post this! I have snuck out of my house late at night to throw away food-trash, hidden it in my room until I could throw it away in secret, etc. My mom was kind of like Rebecca with her small passive aggressive digs at my choice of food. She’s better now but I attribute that to being grown and out of the house and eating relatively healthy in her presense. I was one of those posters who actually liked Kevin’s addiction storyline and it was mostly for this episode/payoff here. When that one tear that slid down Rebecca’s face when Jack’s addiction was brought up.... That tear said more to me than her speech about how perfect Jack was then when the therapist picked up on her examples of just Kate and Randall... I’m not a cryer but man... someone may have been cutting onions while I was watching this episode.
  5. Lip finding a sponser (+1 for Big Boo) who doesn’t give a shit about all these extra characters felt like the writers wrote that scene for me. Too bad Sierra is back next week. I think I have an irraitional dislike for this character. She had a baby with a junkie and her father killed her mother and I’m just...who cares? I guess the writers forgot that Lip is actually smart and even if he wasn’t into school he did occasionally use his brain. He doesn’t have to be in school to find something to do. (Yeah, I know he works at the motorcycle place but you know...)
  6. Great episode but I’m a little confused on how Daly was trapped in the game and died.
  7. Listen, Cheryl Blossom and her family are giving me some VC Andrews vibes and I’m here for it. Major eyeroll at that “Santa” BS though. Other eyeroll worthy moments: The entire Black Hood saga - I mentioned in a previous thread my gripes with it and how the show literally does not need it. Still feel that way. If the guy were a regular robber running around committing crimes the season could’ve been the same (or even better!) without the need for all of this sinners BS. The writers clearly don’t know what they are doing here and it showed during that wrap up at the diner. Don’t worry Jughead, the writers got nothing too. Well, this episode was probably the first time I believed that the Serpents were a gang. Yikes. I like that the show didn’t pull punches with that but I don’t really see where Jughead’s loyalty came from. I came up with they treat him like family and he didn’t have one blah blah but I shouldn’t have to make shit up show! Not interested in that school storyline they got coming up though. Dark Betty. I’ll be at my lonely table of one and say that I don’t see what’s the big deal. She wore an awful wig and got revenge on a boy who treated girls like crap. (Unless I’m forgotting something.) Saw no sign of it since. I’m interested in the Lodges because I swear they remind me of every telenovela I use to watch with my mom back in the day. LOL. More Reggie! More fun! More parents! Or maybe just Skeet. Damn. I looked up how he looked on Scream (on the advice of a fellow poster!) and he has gotten better with age. ;)
  8. I thought I was the only one who felt this way! Nothing anyone did episode made any sense at all except FP... or maybe I was distracted because he looked amazing. Was Skeet Ulrich always this hot? :)
  9. Agree. Part of it, for me was that there needed to be some sort of build up to what happened in Josie’s section. There was alot of plot dumping that could’ve easily been solved with a scene (or mention) in previous episodes such as Chuck’s arrival/rehab and Cheryl getting that music contact for /possibly being obsessed with Josie. (On a shallow note, Chuck is gorgeous. That smile! *swoon* and I love Cheryl because I usually love bitchy mean girls with layers on teen shows plus her styling is just so... idk the word but I covet it all.) I’m ready for this Black Hood stuff to be over. I absolutely do not care about it at all and that is what’s dragging the season down to me. It’s completely unnecessary. Archie’s dad could’ve got shot by a random robber, Veronica could still be dealing with her novella-esque parents, Jughead the Serpent stuff and Betty, well, her mom is a batshit crazy overly critical woman who sent her sister away because Polly is having her cousin’s baby. See? All that plus the usual teen friendship/relationship stuff is more than enough to sustain a season without this Black Hood and his nonsense (especially since he’s committing a very big sin of his own : MURDER).
  10. Good episode but some things pulled me out of the show. 1. Where exactly was Kevin going? Why did Tess hide in the car and wait until that moment to pop up? Those are rhetorical questions. To me, that was poorly executed to get Kevin to the DUI. 2. We hear Tess say she hates it at her house and we have no idea why but the show teases another foster storyline? Don’t do it show! What about Beth’s large but nonexistant family? or Annie and Tess who have also been through a really emotional year. 3. Man, I wish someone told me when I was in school that all I needed to do was work hard and I’d have a big house, fancy car. Wait... I did and I don’t. Damn. Honestly, I did like the episode. :)
  11. Did Kate take any vocal/music lessons or was she just hoping to get into Berklee based on raw talent? That scene just reminded me of what happened when she went to that audition. People put years and years of practice and study into these things! I don’t see what drives Kate. Which would be okay if she were this sort of aimless 20 something but she’s 37... which is not to say that there’s an age limit on this but what was she doing before? This is pretty much my long winded rambling way of saying that I agree with everyone that this episode didn’t do much for me because we didn’t learn anything new about Kate.
  12. While Randall was being a judgemental tool, I can kind of see where his anger comes from. Hasn’t Deja’s mom been in and out of jail and thus Deja has been placed in foster homes several times? And Deja just recently told Randall about her experience at the last home. And it’s not like her mom gave the social worker a reason why she didn’t want to see Deja (even a lie with a come see me next week attached) so with all this knowledge by the time he goes to see her mom he was already amped with this speech in his head. I have sympathy for Deja’s mom but I’m not ready to be all on her team. I grew up in the projects so I know all about options, choices and who makes it out etc. But her story was “I met a no-good shifty dude in rehab and that’s why I’m in jail...” she could miss me with that excuse. Surely she wasn’t thinking about Deja when that happened.
  13. Not interested in watching Lip and Ian pine and be idiots for two characters I never cared about.
  14. He could’ve called/texted Sophie instead and stayed nearby. I liked the episode fine even though the storylines (well, just Kate and Randall’s) themselves are still not that interesting. I actually like addiction storylines but they are rarely done well and often blink-and-you-miss-it type arcs (and often never mentioned again.) I think for me, I don’t see Kate’s pregnancy and Randall’s fostering hijinks as a natural progression from their storylines last season. Especially Randall who (as many of you rightly pointed out) had a very emotionally taxing year. How is he adjusting from working all the time to staying at home? Is it temporary? How are the girls dealing with all of these changes? Did Beth really want to go back to work? What about her family? I’d rather see any of that than this. I’m not a fan of Kate so... but I was definitely interested in her trying to unpack her issues at that camp before it became a “relationship” thing. I continue to love the flashbacks though. I think I prefer them over the present day since the Big Three actually interact more often in them.
  15. Just sliding in here to let you guys know that I enjoy reading your posts. I was at a friend’s house over the summer when I saw POP was showing ER so I promptly went to the library and started mainlining the seasons. I’m on season 12 now (and I realized during my marathon that I stopped watching regularly around season 9 and by the time Carter was gone, so was I.) and I just to throw in my two cents: Season 10 was pretty awful. Abby was pretty much the best nurse/medical student ever and all the Attendings loved her and there were several men drooling over her and it was pretty excessive plus I’m not really sure why we had to follow each and every one of her rotations. Do you even have time to be a nurse and a med student? I liked Mark and Elizabeth in the beginning but it pretty much all went to hell during season eight and the writing for Elizabeth never recovered as she was pretty much shoved in the background then left under the most underwhelming way ever. She is one of my favorites. Susan too (even when she came back). LOL @ at the second helicopter. That’s all I got. But I definitely agree that the later seasons definitely started to get more ridiculous each season - 2 helicopters? army tanks? the small pox outbreak? The new characters aren’t as likeable and/or their storylines suck. Morris? Awful. Ray? Meh. Pratt is pretty one note and so is Neela but I kinda relate to her so she gets a pass. Sam had potential but then I dislike all storylines involving children/teenagers and her kid is terrible and so was that whole thing with his father. I’m sorry for jumping ahead but I just wanted to get that out before I forgot. Also John Carter will always have a place in my heart. :)
  16. All these murders yet the animal on Beverly Hope’s head lives on. That wig is an abomination.
  17. Ugh - just the throw the whole NYG away.
  18. On a shallow note, Kevin was completely right about Kate’s first outfit. It was too much.
  19. I still love the show but I’m not interested in some of the storylines they might be setting up right now. I’m not a fan of the adoption storyline or watching Kate trying to be a singer. I thought it was unrealistic when she mentioned it last season and now I’m supposed to watch her start going to open mic nights trying to make it big? No thanks. The adoption storyline - Beth is not into it at all so that is going to ruin this storyline for me. Kevin and Hollywood = meh. Again, I do love the show but if this is what the season will look like then it’s going to be a long one for me. I am, however, into the Jack is an alcoholic thing.
  20. The dialogue on this show almost made my ears bleed. Hill Harper was missing a mustache to twirl. If it wasn’t for Freddie Highmore, I wouldn’t give this another shot but I really want to be proven wrong because Bates Motel.
  21. All this strange shit happening and nobody took pictures or recorded it? In 2017? That’s the craziest part of this to me.
  22. Girl! Third of all, he the neighbor. Keep the hotation AWAY from your front door. Why people like to mess around with people where they sleep, eat and work is beyond me. Then shit goes left and I gotta play "Hide And Lord Please Don't Let This Fool See Me" when I'm just trying to go home? No thanks. Bitches be messy. I mean, your whole post had me laughing to myself at 3 (okay damn near 4) am. I was just in last week's thread asking about A1 Primo Black Men but I don't discriminate. Yet she out here just turning away good dudes. I can't even get a text back. Bitches be having no priorities.
  23. You would think she would've learned that at that blow job class they were all at earlier... or was that not covered? ;)
  24. Damn. I'm just sitting here cackling, clicking the little heart button and agreeing with every damn thing y'all saying here. Also, uhh, y'all know any Lionels in real life? 'Cause I like sleeping alone, ordering too much chinese food and drinking terrible wine while watching TV without having to explain myself to nobody (especially no dusty broke fuckboy) but I'd give that all up for that A1 primo black man. Just sayin'...
