  1. I have trouble getting used to the fact that they were given an integrated digital board with all the research sources that can link to it and Alvin was the genius who told Mouse to get rid of it and get the old 1968 whiteboard back. Most squads would give anything for current equipment like that even if they have a Flip Phone Alvin still working there. Surprised Voight, given the status Intelligence supposedly has, would that that piece get away. They could have them side by side.
  2. No, the statement actually was, the guy called Atwater “boy.” Maybe that part was missed. Then the guy doubled down and said he wasn’t woke. Im not remotely woke and never, ever will be, but when a guy tosses a racial slur at a black guy, then doubles down with sarcasm like “I’m not woke,” to show how much he doesn’t care about what someone thinks of the racist slur, yes he absolutely deserves to get his face banged against the door. Multiple times. Good for Adam.
  3. So, Voight isn’t allowed to work Murder cases anymore? The fact is Voight went to him man to man and asked him to help with the investigation instead of participating in vigilantism. The kid zipped his lip twice and Vasil knew it. They carried out a hit. So, Vasil takes the fall. His call. And the Ruzek and Kim tired thing? If you ever sat in a car for hours and did stakeout you would know why they were yawning.
  4. I don’t see what Ruzek did that was so bad regarding the punk. He was telling them to bug off nonstop, then calls Atwater a “boy.” In case anyone missed it, he doubles down and says he’s not “woke.” I would rattled his cage too. Good for Ruzek. Thats one reason the FTO easily said they would take the hit for Ruzek, besides both being blue. Ruzek did disrespect the FTO repeatedly and showed him up. He acted pretty superior for no reason. Seems never finishing the academy leaves him pretty tone-deaf. The FTO wanted respect at the end so he requested it in the alley. I liked the scene, and the fact they didn’t spoon-feed you the result. Too bad Wolf is only interested in trying to make cops look bad every chance he can.
  5. Herman is a terrible parent. Yes tell the kid he should tell his friend not to do it. NO you do not say he disappointed you. And then the kid says he’s sorry for letting him down... does nitwit say, “no you didn’t, son?” No. Moron. Every time he deals with a kid he sounds like an idiot. “Im proud of you for keeping your friend alive” would have been nice. By the way, his manner of speaking sounds way more like Boston area (where I’m from) than anyone from Chicago I know. The towing scam was obvious, but I do not understand how Severide continues to be allowed to do criminal investigations by himself instead of reporting them to PD. Bowden even directed him to at one point. And he drives the fire truck over to see the meanie who makes mean faces get arrested because... that’s what he takes to get lunch? Cruz’s girlfriend’s reason for bailing was ridiculously obvious, come on. Coming back with the “ask me” move was cool though, snif.
  6. Everyone on this show is insane. I think Natalie’s behavior is proof that she’s completely recovered from her head injury, because if this happened a year ago, she would have acted exactly the same way: locked the two holistic morons out, started the IV and administered it because she wanted to. Classic Nataloon. Like everyone else, I doubt she will pay for this behavior in any way. She never, ever does, never has consequences, which is what makes the show insufferable. RedWill is a clown. He has no credibility telling NataNut what to do, as he’s emotionally obsessed. I liked Choi in previous roles as a bad guy in Tokyo Drift and on Chicago PD, but he is a weak weenie in this soap opera. His resistance to the obnoxious surgeon was borderline malpractice due to being a egotistical wuss. The constipated Lhasa Apso description for April was brilliant.
  7. The training I was referring to was more her off the charts shooting ability and investigation skills although I also included her fighting to be believable to the extent that a Krav Maga practitioner (I assume she knew this, don’t know) should be able to hold her own in many cases, at least for awhile. I do agree that the idea that a 100 lb female is simply not going to be able to trade crushing blows from a 200-225 male with comparable skills for long. Those fights are eye roll material. I cannot imagine anyone not wanting to beat Jimmy to a pulp with a wooden spoon every time he is on screen. But that’s just me.
  8. Yes he was. He was wrong. It sucks that companies for profit sometimes think of profit first and not the greater good. Unfortunately, so many people believe they have the right to tell everyone else what the greater good should be and conveniently spend other people’s money to do it, that’s not reality. The guy was a murdering eco-terrorist who deserved to be shot. He was not “right.”
  9. Yeah, it’s so goofy I need to suspend logic and enjoy the ride, I know. I think Cody Fern is a stunning actor. He simply takes the screen over in every scene. I believe his aura would lose some of its bite if he were to be overexposed like Sarah Paulsen, who I liked but flat got tired of looking at everywhere. Fern was so good in the Andrew Cunnan Documentary, wow.
  10. Couldn’t stand Connor, the smug, arrogant cowboy who always tries the impossible procedure and always succeeds. The new guy? Smug, arrogant cowboy who always tries the impossible procedure and so far, always succeeds. Not seeing the difference minus the bionic beard. It seems the show is using up Connor scripts on the new guy as not to waste them. Personally, I miss Eva. She would still be the most interesting cast member today, the loony psychopathic killer in the middle of a staff of boring Soap Opera Dimwits.
  11. I’m going to agree, the supernatural aspect is kinda killing it for me. I love horror, even irreverent, campy horror. I can suspend my knowledge and forget that everything about Ramirez is now made up. But I don’t do ghosts... they’re stupid. The show has travelled from campy, to hard to follow to stupid. I have to say that even though none of the real characters or references are correct, having the serial killer with the most famously rotten teeth... Ramirez... to the point that this was how he was IDed at times... seems weird with this actor and his $20k shiny veneers.
  12. But we aren’t talking about a man. Like I said, my wife checked me out online in 2003. If I had a daughter I’d tell her she wasn’t very bright if she didn’t spend a few minutes running a guys name she just met that she was meeting up with later. Maybe that’s the retired LEO in me, but it’s common sense, not stalking.
  13. What did the girl do that was nuts? She wanted a drink. She said she was sick of the nerds she worked with and obviously she was looking for a masculine guy. She checked out a guy online ahead of time that she was meeting that night. She jumped into bed with him. Sounds like a half way normal (good) date to me.
  14. It was before our first date. She checked out all sorts of stuff. I didn’t think twice about it. -Yeah, ‘nuff said.
  15. By the way, Stella’s just afraid she will get bored to death in Springfield and never make it back.
  16. Agree with all the above. Why was the SMART girl a stalker in the first place? Lots of women Google potential dates. My wife did. Not sure I’m taking Casey’s word that she was the weird one. And x2 on someone not marking Otis’ locker? Seriously. And is it absolutely necessary to play the big bad white guy with a badge (not a cop though) beating up the poor black kid card? Zzzzzzzzzz.
  17. RedDoc has no credibility with Nataloon. He has a point that she needs to be supervised for the patients well-being and her protection. But insisting that HE does it “off the books” makes him look like her crazy stalker boyfriend 2.0. He should be assigning that to a disinterested third party. New Cowboy Doc is just like Old Cowboy Doc without a beard. April... ugh. And the way Choi was behaving with theFrozen Head Boy... what is it about that hospital that makes everyone there ignore the patient’s wishes regardless of the legal steps they have taken to protect them?
  18. I actually didn’t hate this episode. I have trouble with Sloane, because her function is fuzzy to me. I think her title is just an Agent like everyone else, but clearly is the pseudo-shrink, complete with private office upstairs and Rorschach image on the wall. If Sloane is in fact a licensed, qualified therapist she should be treated as such and not pretend she can just grab her gun and do casework with everyone else. I know about her history in the Sandbox. But that squad wouldn’t have her wear both hats, sorry. This always brings me back to the terrible usage of Ducky as some sort of “Profiler in a Box.” Back in the early days of NCIS someone with influence told the writers that they needed to compete with Criminal Minds, so someone has to be a “Profiler.” Suddenly Ducky, a Medical Examiner, takes a weekend Profiling 101 course at the Community College and now he’s Roy Hazelwood and John Douglas. To this day, they go to Ducky for off the cuff, 100% profiles of individuals he barely knows anything about. I absolutely hate this part of the show. It’s a little insulting. Anyway, the Ziva thing did cause some serious chemistry issues with the squad, and if Sloane really is a kinda sorta therapist it would be her job to try to pull them together. That was a reasonable storyline. She even did thaw out Gibbs a bit. That part of the episode wasn’t bad, as was the case they investigated, which was reasonably interesting. I have to say, though Torres becomes more and more childlike in every episode. I never warmed up to this guy like I did Bishop, but his personality is simply one of a Jr High kid who can barely function in his home room, let alone a federal agent doing the job. His bizarre interaction with Ziva when they first met sounded like a lunch room come-on, the fake fight thing is stupid and he brings absolutely nothing of value to the table.
  19. I’d help, but apparently only ladies need answer.
  20. Ruzek definitely has a lot to criticize and he’s clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he’s got 2 things going for him. 1. He would go to jail to protect a brother officer, even if that guy doesn’t deserve it and 2. You could see how much being a cop meant to him in that last episode. It’s his DNA. For these reasons I will like Ruzek, period. I want guys like Voight, Ruzek, Atwater and Burgess on my team. Trudy, too. Halstead and Upton should just go work for IA.
  21. That would be interesting. I actually played in Cops vs Firefighters (Guns n Hoses) charity benefit hockey games for 5-6 years awhile back. They were shockingly short-tempered. Both sides fans did all sorts of stuff like you say, but of course the donuts are always the go-to for the Hoses. Personally I liked it when they sent donuts to our bench. We (the cops) also played charity games vs a Troops (veterans) team for a few years and the games had absolutely no edge at all. Go figure.

    S07.E01: Doubt

Exactly right. All these fake complaints about civil rights violations and official misconduct show up on film as just more bad people behaving badly. Of course, false accusations are all the rage these days.
  23. Good point, but it can’t be as good as the scenes at the desk.
  24. I keep saying this. He doesn’t know what an Epipen is? He gets a glazed over look when in a kiddie restaurant? He can’t do 6th trade word puzzles? He says the girl with a full rash is faking? I understood him being a clueless lazy Him-bo but they are portraying him as actually stupid... that doofus couldn’t possibly pass the EMT exam. And Foster has to be hit with a sexual harassment suit after she gets accused of hitting on him, and she “fires” him right after. And what is it with her? She attacks a Doc in a hospital after being told not to and completely gets away with it; now she “fires” someone and nothing happens? What on Earth would allow her to get away with anything? And the kid who has no business trying to be a fireman is gay? And how was Sylvia supposed to get back from Mayberry when she was walking out with her bags and her friends met up with her? Was she planning to walk?
  25. The episode was pretty dull. I’m glad Ruzek is out of trouble, but now he’s gone from creepy lumberjacksexual hairproduct hipster to chubby guy. Not a good look. On the other hand, Upton looked tiny to me. Maybe she’s not wearing the frumpy clothes as much, but she looked littler than usual to me. Finally Atwater finds a girlfriend, because apparently if you work for Intelligence, you can only date Intelligence.
