Hey, I talk just as much shit about Austin but since most people seem to be on the same page about him it stands out less. I think Becky definitely has an agenda with this, she's not doing it out of the kindness of her heart. ADC might not be voting the way she wants (not sure if that's changed) but other than JMac, they are the least likely to put her up in the DE. If the plan is still for Vanessa to stay and Becky knows this, she knows she's in trouble. I think if the plan was still Shelli she might not give a fuck who wins because she would believe herself to be totally safe.

I play poker and there are A LOT of players that act just like Jean-Robert (ugh). Not so many that act like Vanessa, in my experience, but I've watched her play (poker) she's the polar opposite of how she is in the house. She's usually the calmest/quietest one at the table. I think she has absolutely no clue how to translate poker logic to BB logic, and I think she thought it would be a lot easier to do. Hence all the "I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY SO AND SO IS DOING THAT... IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!" To her, it legitimately doesn't. I get Vanessa. I also don't think I could ever play Big Brother well. I'm still rooting for her over many others though.

I've been saying all along that ADC would stop trusting Becky (or pretending to) once she no longer had power. And unless there's a tie on Thurs, she no longer has power. I'm loving this development. That's because they isolate and are so out of the loop. They know Vanessa is better for their games than Shelli, but think they can't get the votes so won't try. I understand why they wouldn't want to stick their necks out for a (probable) lost cause, but they seem oblivious to the house dynamics at this point. They seriously think they're golden and no one will target them. Honestly, Liz and Julia should mingle more because Austin is the idiot bringing them info. Last night Becky told Austin she and her pals weren't targeting him or the twins and he just believed her outright, then went and told Liz who also bought it hook line and sinker. They both seemed super relieved. If they feel safe enough to talk of throwing HOHs and not targeting Becky if they win, two of the three of them (please let one be Austin) deserve to go in the DE. OTOH, I can see Shelli getting to the final 2 at this point. And she would deserve it.

I wish they would bring back the food comps and PB&J as the punishment. The have-not thing adds nothing to the game and is even more ridiculous now that it's a non factor (no comps, people volunteering, etc). This isn't Survivor, where the lack of food/comfort plays a huge role in the game. It's just a pointless element that literally never (IMO) had any impact on the actual game whatsoever. They'll never get rid of it though, because then Grodner would have to actually acknowledge that something she came up with ISN'T a "fan favorite."

I agree, other than the wanting to like Becky part. I'm sure Vanessa is being insufferable right now, but to be fair, she was JUST blindsided (including by her own alliance who she did not, to my knowledge, ever betray). When her group blindsided Jason they didn't go out of their way to make him feel worse. They actually seemed to feel bad for him on a personal level, and treated it like what it was - a game move. Even Shelli and Clay lying about knowing, though insanely stupid, was for (misguided) self preservation. And even Austin, who had the most reason to be personally pissed off at Jason for spilling his secret, wasn't a dick to him. And Jason's allies were there for him after the blindside, even knowing it was a lost cause. Vanessa may have gotten herself into this by breaking the Austin deal and talking too much, but IMO she doesn't deserve to be shit on right now.

I find Steve's OTT hatred of Becky hilarious, mostly because (from reading these posts) no one can seem to determine or agree upon exactly where/why it originated or if it is, in fact mutual. It's like the mystery of the season. We need Scooby Doo up in that bitch.

Well, Becky, Jackie, and Johnny have all said they HATE her multiple times, which seems over the top, but we've heard WAAAAYY worse on this show, so that barely registers. I agree, this group is less objectionable as a whole than most (or maybe ALL since the start of Grodner's reign of terror). But I don't have the feeds - all I'm reading and seeing on BBAD is a lot of self congratulatory shit and gloating, I haven't heard of much in the realm of personal attacks either. Becky just seems so fucking SMUG to me. I don't really mind the rest of them as people, even if I'm not actively rooting for them. And I really WANT to like James for gameplay reasons and he's occasionally funny but OMG he's just such a dog, I can't. ETA also meant to quote the post upthread that mentioned this group being better than most in terms of fewer personal attacks... can't quite figure out the multi quote thing on an edit.

Thanks for the backstory, I had no idea. Yeah, I guess the fact that Julia (as "Liz") paid attention to him when no one else but Vanessa (for game) did, it gave him the wrong idea. Awkward. The boobs comment - rude for sure, but it sounds like that was his socially awkward way of trying to bond with Johnny Mac because he thinks they're bros and that's what bros do. Steve really has so social awareness, but for some reason I find him somewhat endearing and unintentionally hilarious (ok, maybe part of that has to do with his crazy ass Becky rant in the DR)... and I still like Julia but "girls like me" is obnoxious no matter how you slice it.

So Clay died? He didn't just go home before jury? I'm not just talking about Shelli's reaction. The VO and the multiple close ups of his b&w photo... it's all so tragic. RIP Clay.

I'm disappointed to read that about Julia. Ugh Ha, that was very selective quoting there. I don't doubt that Vanessa is likely leaving, I just said it's not a foregone conclusion. And my not wanting her to go, and very much wanting Austin to go has zero to do with what I was saying about Becky and her attitude. I don't actually want Shelli to go either (want to see how she plays without Clay) and I just think it's a bummer that they'll be on the block together. But it wouldn't matter who nominated them, that's just my personal feeling. It has absolutely nothing to do with why I can't stand Becky, or why I think she's playing this HOH poorly. Her noms aren't the issue, her "HOH-itis" is. That, and the fact that her new allies will likely decide they want her out before Steve or Austin. So I'm just gonna sit here and laugh if/when she goes in the DE, or gets nominated by one of the people who currently won't leave her side. I wish everyone would handle their HOH like James did. I don't think Austin washes his hair or beard at all (I'm dry heaving right now thinking about it). I've seen many references to him not washing his hair or face while showering. Also not washing his hands after using the bathroom. I think Liz deserves to win this whole thing just for taking the bullet and allowing him to follow her around and touch her ALL.THE.TIME. I'm sure it's not a strategy she thought she'd be faced with going into the house. It's cringe inducing but girl is playing to win.
