I actually think her target is really John, which at first seemed like the absolute last thing she would or should do, but I kind of get it now. As others have mentioned, I think she's trying to get out the goat that everyone would keep over her next week when she can't win HOH. This means F4 veto is not AS crucial for her to win. If Austin or Liz is the sole voter at F4, they will probably boot Steve, and if Steve is, he'll break up the showmance. It's really not a bad play, especially since Vanessa has Deals with Liztin/Steve (remains to be seen if they will keep them, but she's been working with them all game so she does and should trust them at least slightly more than JMac) and JMac's "campaign speech" was basically "you can't trust me, put me up." Okay.... yeah if he is actually trying to be Dr Will it's rather pathetic. ETA Frankie and Ariana Grande was supposed to be a reward?? I can see Ariana being a draw if the house was full of tweens, but regardless of how immature some of these HGs are I don't think any of them give a flying fuck about her. Frankie is a straight up punishment. If it wasn't so obvious production was trying to make Frankie happen (much like Jessie, I think we'll be seeing him for many seasons to come, ugh) I'd think it was their way of fucking with the hamsters. But apparently they got drunk and Liz thought Frankie was "fun." So I guess they had a good time? Ew.

This will be her best play. I hope Austin doesn't convince her otherwise/win veto. IMO, if Austin survives this week he's winning the game and I am not okay with that.

I'm following the play by play on Twitter and I was just going to post the same thing. Seems like she may have already found The Reason: Steve admits that Austin told him that he (Steve) was not his target if he (Austin) won. PLEASE LET THIS BE AUSTIN'S WEEK TO GO.

I'm not so sure they'd listen this time, and they shouldn't. And actually, I'm not so sure Vanessa would push hard for Liz to go over Austin. He's a huge endgame threat, and Vanessa knows no woman has ever beat a man in F2. She should know that Austin and Steve are her biggest F2 threats, and the showmance is the biggest obstacle to getting there. Her best move this week would be to take out Austin. Of course, I want Austin to leave every week so that means he'll win this whole thing.

I think she'll go for Austin/Liz or Steve and one of those two. I don't see John as a front or back door for Vanessa. He's the weakest left.

Vanessa really should not be throwing this (if that is what she's doing). If Liz or Austin win veto I think she would be toast.

yeah I get that JOHN has Reasons for wanting Julia out (though I think there are better ones for wanting Liz out, namely, she could beat him much more easily in comps than Julia could), but why would VANESSA be pushing this scenario? Not rocking the boat if it's a lost cause is one thing, but she only has to sway/mist one person: John. And if Steve had a backbone and named a preference that would make a huge difference too. He wants to waste his HOH on JULIA?

I don't understand this at all. It's not remotely good for Vanessa's game (or anyone else's, IMO) for Liz to stay. Why would Vanessa be pushing this? Vanessa will vote "with the house" if it comes down to it (if John is definitely voting Julia out, she will too for obvious reasons, and Austin is just going to do what the twins say so he doesn't matter in this scenario) but why would Vanessa WANT John to boot Julia? And why is Steve saying he doesn't care which one goes? He damn well should!

I don't know why, but "beard rash" gave me a grosser visual than #fingergate I think Liz was 93%-100% using Austin for game (I do NOT feel sorry for Austin at all, he IS creepy and he cannot read body language at all - Liz is not a very convincing actress) but I think she was doing it in preparation for the exact scenario that came about this week. Now that they're on the block together, she is hoping he wins veto and tanks his own game by using it on HER. I am 93%-100% sure that is not going to happen. Well, they (remaining Austwins) would have a much lower chance of winning HOH this week if they boot Liz over Julia. And Vanessa will have to 100% trust John that he will vote Liz out if that's what they agree upon or she's in deep(er) shit. It's very risky. BUT.... I caught part of that game on BBAD and one of her other questions was something like "would you rather have a steel toe or a cement nose." Meg looked at her like she was insane and said steel toe BECAUSE YOU CAN HIDE IT! The weirdest part of the game was that Julia was the only one asking the questions. Everyone else was just like okay, we're bored, so...

I think he probably did make a comment that he thought was innocuous and when others explained why it was offensive, he understood and apologized profusely. That's what I gathered from the comments made by other HGs. Steve is a socially awkward guy who was almost definitely sheltered (small ass town, attachment to mommy, etc.) Jason probably knew Steve meant no harm and was sincere in his apologies, but because he and the other summer campers thought Steve was creepy or weird or whatever, just used that as more ammo to hate him - because their other REASONS were petty and mean-girlish. Also, if the rumors about Steve being gay/bi are true, he may have made the comment out of insecurity. I am by no means defending Steve if he truly made an offensive comment knowingly. He's technically a grown man. But from what it sounds like, the comment was pretty benign to begin with and when Audrey or whoever explained why it was offensive, Steve felt terrible. If Jason and his pals didn't hate Steve for other (superficial and petty) reasons, they would have been totally fine with him post-apology and it would have never been mentioned again. But this was during the time where literally no one spoke to Steve (unless they absolutely had to) save Julia (part time player) and Vanessa. I didn't hate Jason and frequently thought he was funny, but I think his bittercakes over being evicted pre-jury are going to last quite a while. And his hatred of Steve was unwarranted from what I saw, but he was far from the only one who acted that way. I'm glad Steve feels comfortable talking to everyone left now, and they are being nicer to him.

Holy shit, after 17 seasons I think we may have found the worst BB player ever* Also I agree with the peeps upthread about Meg not being anywhere near Jordan's league as a player, and I don't even like Jordan. Also, there is no one as universally hated AND disrespected on a game level this year as Natalie was in Jordan's season, so even if Meg does get dragged to F3 and wins F3 HOH (LOL) she still loses. *I mean overall. In terms of self sabotaging moves, can't take that honor away from Marcellas and Dustin.
