Season 17 Live Feed Discussion: Watch People Sleep All Day!
yankee1151 replied to Stinger97's topic in Past Seasons
He still might well be a goner when his side doesn't win HOH, but I think Becky will be a higher priority for now (which she did to herself). But if Becky wins veto, he or Jackie is gone. I wasn't implying that what Becky is doing this week isn't helping James' side, of course it is, which is why they're all up there like they're her new BFFs. That's smart gameplay for them, but doesn't mean they plan to work with her long term. James, in particular probably won't be pleased to know that while he was HOH and Becky was all of a sudden his newest alliance member, she was playing double agent with the doomed couple. J/J/M have no reason to trust Becky long term, that's all. And they will protect each other over her. But again, I was only saying I'd find it funny if he gets HOH and decides she's more of a threat than the Austwins or Steve and boots her for. Not saying it's a likely possibility (for James), just that her rat ways, along with being a comp beast and the way she is handling this HOH could be motivation for anyone not named John to want her gone sooner than later. I'm done with the dead horse but I was just pointing out that she went from "Becky WHO?" to flip flopping rat (for no reason, giving info to the people on the block) to power hungry HOH talking shit like it's her job all because people SHE WAS NEVER ALIGNED WITH went back on a fake 8 person deal (which still ultimately kept her safe). Wallpaper to rat to unnecessary bluster to target. Bad play, just like 6S going back on the Austin deal. Vanessa, Shelli, and Clay really fucked up by not booting Austin. Steve would probably be going to jury this week if they had. Or Liz. I predict right now that Julia makes F3, and has a very good chance of winning this. Not a bad scenario, actually. I'd hate to see Meg and JMac sitting there just because others are of the mind that they can get rid of them later. There is more than one Victoria in the house this season. As for Liz - I agree with those who have said she's in a really bad spot with Austin. What choice does she have but to continue to lead him on when the alternative seems to be throwing her game in the shitter? I still think Austin is worse than Caleb. I don't recall Caleb lying on top of Amber and rubbing her all day long. Austin was doing this far before Liz gave in and (minimally) reciprocated. And I think Liz was "negotiating" about his beard so at least she won't have to smell it anymore. I honestly don't know wtf I would do in her position, but the whole thing really grosses me out. Austin needs to go. -

HAHA, apparently Austin said he's going to "end it" with Liz unless he gets more of a commitment. WHAT?? Did this actually happen? -

Agreed 100% I've seen many references to Vanessa and Adderall, do we know that's the med she's on, or is that an assumption because she's hyper a lot? I'm not at all comfortable speculating about what someone may or may not be on or why they were prescribed it (but that's just me). For all we know she's on the pill (yes I know she's a lesbian but there are other reasons people take birth control pills) or something for a medical (not psych) condition - not that there's anything wrong with psych meds, if prescribed/taken properly... I just would never assume I know what meds someone is on based on how they act in the BB house. Seems like a leap to me (again, maybe JUST me...) Or maybe she has admitted it IS Adderall and if so disregard the above about speculation, BUT... I also agree that BB needs to NOT be fucking with people's meds, whether it's getting timing wrong or allowing them to stockpile or whatever. Doesn't matter what type of medication. It needs to be taken properly and on time. ETA I wasn't suggesting the OP was making assumptions - just that I've seen references to Vanessa being on Adderall and was wondering IF that was fact or speculation. -

I don't think floating isn't a valid strategy, I just think it's not a winning one, usually. Building trust matters (as much as you can trust anyone in a game like this). I fully admit I don't like Becky, but part of the reason is I just don't see her as playing a very smart game. We'll see in the coming weeks. I'm also not sure why she's pissed at Vanessa for nominating her when SHE AGREED TO IT and Jackie was every bit as responsible for that. Becky and Clay lost the BOB and that's not either HOH's fault. She's pissed because the renom wasn't Austin, it was Jason, I get that. But she stayed. And Vanessa wanted her to. She wasn't gunning for Becky AT ALL that week, that I'm aware of. Shelli and Clay were and then changed their minds. I'm just not fully understanding where all this animosity is coming from, that's all. It's as weird as that rando Steve DR where he wants to bathe in her tears or some shit. Because as I said, Becky had no alliances with anyone but John, so why did she get pissed when people weren't falling all over themselves when she lost the veto fair and square? Eh, she just seems very entitled to me. This isn't about Becky putting up Vanessa (although I DO think the Austwins are a bigger threat together but that's just my opinion, obviously), it's about her attitude. At least for me. And I didn't say James WOULD put up Becky, just that it would be hilarious if he did. It's highly doubtful, I agree, but let's face it - she was NOT aligned with him until he won HOH and even then, she was spilling to Shelli/Clay every chance she got. James has no reason to trust her, so I think it would be highly amusing if he found out just how untrustworthy she's been and blindsides her. Or blindsides her this week and votes to keep Vanessa. I don't love James but he and Julia seem to be the only HGs that are NOT playing with emotion. And of course Becky is free to nom whoever she sees fit. But she's painting a very unnecessary target on her back, much like Vanessa and Shelli/Clay did by not going through with the Austin renom. I don't mean she's making herself a target by nominating Vanessa (ADC/John obviously approve, and Austwins are glad it's not them), but by gloating and cackling and acting like her power is unlimited and thinking that ADC are gonna be ride or die for her. She could take a lesson from James on how to handle power. -

I'm still not clear on the reason, but ok. Also, what friends? To my knowledge, John was her only friend/alliance. She was floating, which is fine, but she never bothered to build trust with anyone, which is why it's mind boggling that she was so upset that Clay won veto. She was on the block as a PAWN, and she and Clay were supposed to win the comp and keep Jackie in power. It's not Vanessa's fault they didn't. Vanessa even talked Shelli out of sending Becky out and went for Jason instead. I'm just not clear on what Vanessa did to Becky specifically, or why Becky feels wronged by ANYONE, considering she had solid alliances with no one. -

How do i quote the whole thing and not just the responses? Weird. My point about V and S making alliances when in power is that Becky didn't bother to do ANYTHING the first few weeks. Like, at ALL. And V & S kept those alliances when they did not have power, they weren't of convenience like Trainwrecky and the ADC (anyone think she'd be buds with them had James not been HOH last week?) And I will defer to you and other feed watchers re Vanessa targeting her before, but Vanessa wanted James/Jackie out first, no? I could be wrong but I don't think she was at the top of ANYONE'S list. From what I've read here, jokers, twitter, etc... and on BBAD and the broadcast shows. Becky was wallpaper. Annoying, vapid wallpaper, but wallpaper nonetheless. Now she's probably the remaining 6S main target, and I'm not convinced ADC fully trust her either, and why the hell should they? They're safe this week so they're her friends. Let's see what happens next week. I don't think she's long for this game, and she could have coasted to final 5 or so and then beasted comps. -

I love how Becky is now little miss queen bee, when two weeks ago she was on the block, crying that Clay won veto, and last week she was running around like a little rat for absolutely no reason - when no one actually cared about her either week in reality. The DR even forgot she was there at one point! She was not on anyone's radar except maybe Steve (who was throwing everything), and now she's likely to go before any of her new BFFs. Keep talking about how great you are in comps, Becks. Now that you've just won one that only men have won in the past, too. And keep gloating, too - that always helps. Vanessa and Shelli talked too much when they were in power too, which is precisely why they're in the spot they're in now. But you know what else they did? They formed alliances. They got a feel for who was with whom. They took out threats to their game. YOU were never their target, but you are now (probably before Jackie and James, who were their previous targets, and definitely before Meg). But power doesn't last in this game, unless your name is Derrick and you're surrounded by literally nothing but famewhores and recruits. One of Shelli/Vanessa will stay, along with the Austwins and Steve. Does Becky know this, or does she think she's in the final four? With three people (J/J/M) who would save each other over her in a heartbeat? Or does she think Johnny Mac will save her ass, cause aside from vetoes he won when he was on the block, he doesn't seem interested in doing shit. I don't remember anyone going from literally invisible to smug as fuck in two days, but Becky has managed it. I will laugh and laugh if James wins HOH and puts her ass right up. "Becky, you didn't speak to me at all before you won HOH except for the train story, hey I'm glad you survived that and got to play Big Brother. So anyway, thanks for keeping me safe and all, but you're a comp beast and I'm pretty sure you have deals with everyone now. Sorry, but I'm putting you up next to your pal John. Don't think I didn't notice he's the only one you spoke to for five weeks. Gotta break that up. Pairs are dangerous. This nomination ceremony is adjourned." -

or James could vote on his own. He distrusts Shelli more than Vanessa and he's shown he's not easily swayed. If he knows he's the deciding vote he may do it. -

Ugh. Good for Steve and good for drama, I guess, but now it's a done deal that one of the two people who have been legit playing since day one is leaving. No bueno. Obviously they put targets on their own damn backs but that "other side" is so damn smug now when they literally had not one clue between them until Jason was on the block (and are still largely unsure of what's going on). Basic Becky is far more insufferable to me than either Vanessa or Shelli will ever be, and Jackie (who is the only one of that side with more than half a brain, IMO) is way over the top with her Vanessa hatred which tells me she's playing totally on emotion (WAH, she broke the totally fake 8 person alliance!) and probably not as strategic as I previously gave her credit for. The reality is that the Austwins are a bigger threat down the line than Shelli or Vanessa individually and literally no one sees it. I may be in the minority but I don't care to see Shelli and Vanessa throwing each other under the bus, but it's definitely going to happen. On the plus side I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that Vanessa is leaving. Shelli could very well go in this scenario. -
Yep, and the pill caused the miscarriage with J'Caleb. Wonder who/what they blame for Jubilee? My money is on Josiah, for his reaction to the pregnancy announcement. BTW I'm totally not snarking on Michelle's miscarriages... just agreeing that in their world, all good things are "God's will" (or perhaps that extends to bad things that happen to OTHER PEOPLE, though I'm guessing they blame SIN in those cases) but when bad things happen to them, they can't accept the fact that sometimes SHITTY THINGS HAPPEN FOR NO OBVIOUS REASON - or sometimes, shitty things (like the cancellation of their precious TV show) happen as a direct result of THEIR OWN FUCKED UP ACTIONS (or non-actions, as the case may be). They are actually even more delusional than I had previously thought (pre-scandal) - and that's saying a LOT. Thinking it's perfectly acceptable to ignore their son's multiple molestations, then cover them up, not get anyone any help, and THEN GO ON TV AND NOT ONLY JUSTIFY IT, BUT ACTUALLY CLAIM THEY ARE THE VICTIMS AND SOMEONE IS OUT TO GET THEM - FUCKING WHAT?? Do these morons just not get the concept of consequences, or do they just think it doesn't apply to them? Never mind, I think we all know the answer. Aside from Josh, I have a lot of sympathy for all those kids, even arrogant Jessa and the rest of the self righteous "adult" children. You can't easily recover from being the offspring of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. I don't know that any of them ever will. So fucking sad.

I don't think it would be a sure thing against Shelli - James wants her gone before Vanessa, right? And we all know he does what the hell he wants. Austwins and Steve would keep Vanessa too, I think. -

Thanks for the clarification re the Audrey conversation. I think it is definitely strategy on Vanessa's part, but she's not able to keep her emotions in check the way Derrick was. I definitely don't think she's entitled or crazy, but I think she needs to think before she speaks - a lot. She has a good head for the game, but something in her execution is definitely lacking. -

I'm confused by this... but Austin is MASSIVELY stupid and seems not to have a clue about what's actually going on because all he does is isolate himself with Liz. Does Austin even know Vanessa is going to be the renom if she doesn't win? Cause I can see him saying he'll throw it to Steve if he believes the laughable JMac renom story. This season has far fewer truly objectionable people than any season in a very long time, and it's great that they're not all sheep like last year, but GOD DAMN, there are still some truly brain dead people in that house. I don't know if it's because they're recruits and know nothing about the game, or they're just dumb in general. Austin is dumb AND delusional. If he weren't so creepy I'd feel sorry for him. -

Vanessa had no reason to believe Audrey was telling the truth when her track record said otherwise. Vanessa knows she IS telling the truth to Shelli (or at least I think she is). Why should the Austwins be pissed at Vanessa for trying to keep herself safe when she's in danger? I suppose they could get pissed at her for putting THEM in danger for saving Shelli, but Shelli is also part of their alliance, and in fairness, has won more than any of those 3. Shelli is Vanessa's best bet going forward, not an unbreakable (well, as long as Liz remains) threesome who basically hasn't won shit. Also, I think deep down Julia has zero fucks to give because SHE won't be the renom, and doesn't care if Austin goes if it comes down to it. Liz might even be relieved. But if Liz is now Becky's renom choice (if Vanessa wins), they'll care more. I don't see ANYONE truly giving a shit if Austin leaves. He's easily the most expendable to that alliance. But you're right - it will be a fun week whatever happens. Thanks again to all the feedwatchers here that keep us updated. BBAD doesn't give us much, what with cutting to commercial in the middle of strategic conversations CONSTANTLY. -

I never get bent when people swear on family or the bible on BB or Survivor anyway, but either way I really don't think she's lying. Why wouldn't she use it and keep them both safe? Vanessa has done nothing but try to protect her alliance (sometimes poorly/transparently, and definitely to the detriment of her own game), so there's no reason to believe (based on her actions thus far) that she won't use it. I don't think Shelli has been blindly loyal to Vanessa (or vice versa). Loyal, yes, but I disagree with the blindly part. I think the only scenario in which they would throw each other under the bus is if they were on the block together (and I wouldn't blame them one bit, it's the game). But so far they have been loyal for real, from what I've seen and read. They're both strong competitors, which is exactly why Vanessa blew herself up to make sure Shelli stayed over Clay, who would not have remained loyal (and had less of a chance to win shit). Who cares if Becky gets pissed? Shelli and especially Vanessa owe her NOTHING. Why would Shelli care about placating Becky WHEN SHE WAS NOMINATED BY HER, and knows she's working with the other side (or at the very least trying to play both sides - not sure if that's a thing anymore). WTF has Becky ever done for Shelli, and when has she ever given Shelli a reason to trust her over Vanessa (or any of the S6, even Austin)? I think the Austwins are saying they're ok with Vanessa saving Shelli to keep Vanessa from freaking out, but of course they are hoping the veto just doesn't get used (not bloody likely, but...) They'll vote out Steve if the noms stay the same (though they won't have the numbers), but that's their hope this week, I think. -

I read on twitter that not only did Basic Becky tell Shelli that Vanessa was the backdoor target, but she also told Shelli that Shelli would be going on the block alongside Steve to accomplish this. That apparently happened some time after she told John, James, Meg, and Jackie that NO ONE else can know who the real target is. She told them they can't say "the V word." Meanwhile, Vanessa already figured out she was the target, and I don't think Becky even tried to sell her the Johnny Mac BS backdoor story yet. Great gameplay, Becks!! I hope Vanessa wins veto, saves whoever (I don't really give a shit which one) and Austin ends up leaving. That's my BB fantasy this week, but honestly I just want whatever Becky wants to happen to not happen. And then she leaves next week for being a dumbass. As for her potentially deciding to buddy up to Shelli again, I'm not sure how that would work now that Shelli knows Becky is a rat from last week, and now is about to nominate her "as a pawn" (the week after Shelli was the same alliance's target and would have gone had they had the votes). I mean, Shelli can't exactly do anything overt to piss Becky off while Becky is HOH, but if Becky is dumb enough to trust Shelli I can see this HOH not working out so well for Trainwrecky. And I'm pretty sure at some point Johnny is going to run his yapper to the wrong person too. -

I don't think he would be expected to know, but he doesn't know much about what's going on, period. Steve at least HAS an alliance and knows how the house is divided. And I'm just surprised he's a target because he hasn't won much and doesn't APPEAR to be aligned with anyone. John spilling to Steve is going to bite him in the ass. At least I hope it does. -

I actually think it's the opposite - John is hilariously bad. Steve has managed to keep his alliance with Vanessa a secret, and John has NO IDEA who is with whom, and hasn't since day one. Steve actually is a target too, why I have no clue, but his name seems to come up a lot. -

It's too easy to rig that one.... but they would need to do something quick like that. A question comp would be a safe bet. Unless they did like BB Canada and had an endurance going on while the remaining HGs watched. That would be fun. I'm not going to get too invested/worried (depending on who it might be) about a juror coming back since all Julie said was something like "you're not NECESSARILY out of the game" or some shit. It may just mean a juror gets some sort of power or say in what happens in the house once they're gone. That would actually be fun - like a juror controlling a veto or something. -

It's not nice to kick people when they're down :( I will say this - if Becky manages to get rid of Austin this week I may upgrade her from strong to mild dislike. But it won't happen.
