  1. Oh, it isn't that implausible. So they speed the timeline up a little, big deal. Penelope is against the death penalty for this guy and feels guilty that she helped exacerbate it. It isn't all that hard to understand. What mystifies me is that folks think that a tv show has to adhere to the letter of the law. And not just partially, but exactly! Seriously. My take on it is that this is our show's way of moving forward, quickly, while still acknowledging what took place. They caught shit last year because they didn't show JJ having enough emotion about what happened. Now they show a character having emotion about what happened, and they get shit for that. Oh wait, it isn't the right character. Oh, okay. How easy it is to judge when it isn't our job to actually, you know... make the show. Which none of us could actually ever do.

  3. I agree with you JMO, Matthew will talk about Reid and the show if there is a specific event that they go to for that purpose. Even then, he'll start jump roping or break dancing rather than get too deep. He's our happy little flake and that's fine. Shemar and Kirsten can be the CM cheerleaders, just as long as he shows up for Spencer in the show. And he does.
  4. Agreed, I think he (Reid, though not necessarily Matthew) intimidates the hell out of them. Breen is the only one who writes him fearlessly, and even he doesn't get the (past) details right. Not since Wilder have they had a writer that does him true justice. I do however, think they know what they have in him. I think they all feel he is extremely valuable to the team, and I think they do try to write him well... I just don't think they have the skill to, consistently.
  5. Welp, you and I differ, MMC. Just because she doesn't always utilize him to his fullest potential doesn't mean to me that she's blind to his appeal. Contrary to what some others think, Erica's no idiot.
  6. I do know if Matthew wants to leave, they will not just 'get rid of' Reid. There will be a respectful, heartfelt, and hopefully tender goodbye. I wouldn't be surprised if they took two (or more) episodes to give him a proper sendoff. Reid isn't just central and necessary to CM, he's one of the most unique characters on the entire television landscape. Those who work closely with him are well aware of it, even if the clueless suits at CBS are not.
  7. Yup, Harry says he was there. Makes me wonder something else too... what happens to all the footage they don't use with something like this. Is there a longer version somewhere? Because I want that.
  8. Well, we know he's in the episode, we've seen the pics. I'm not bugged that he isn't there, except that I would've liked to have seen him in that environment. Kirsten's dress/brooch was really pretty. I think Matthew's in NYC right now, isn't he? Didn't fan photos place him there a day or so ago?
  9. I'm thinking they'll establish her spousal connection next ep. They probably wanted to show us the obvious warm relationship with her niece, and her guilt about being away, without the added padding of the husband meet & greet. Also, I don't think there's anything wrong with a teen falling asleep on the sofa. I've seen it happen on occasion. :)
  10. I've wanted to slap Gideon all day. From his rudeness to John Blackwolf, to his commands that border on bullying Spencer: "Let's go. Reid. Now. Now. Reid now." when Spencer's just trying to talk to Lila, not once, but twice... to his asking Garcia "How could you be so stupid?" humiliating her in front of everyone like she's a fucking dumbass, which hello yes, she made a mistake but then she actually FOUND the guy... His disrespect, dismissiveness, and rudeness to his fellow agents has always rubbed me the wrong way, but today I full on wanted to kick his ass. Ever since Mandy said that shit about the show I've been looking at Gideon differently. I just don't have the patience for him any more. I don't believe him as a character any more, and he's no longer a hero to me. He's just a guy who throws out some insight and then freaks out while the rest of the team figures everything out. Can I just say though, that a whole day of Elle is hella awesome?
  11. Oh, Aaron. #cryface
  12. Me too. I have The Riddle on my car cd just because of this scene. Of all the beautiful Hotchner moments, this one takes it all.
  13. Guys, The Fisher King pt. 2 just started on ION...
  14. Daniel, why don't you start a discussion in the UnSub thread? I don't think one criminal deserves his/her own thread. Welcome, Droogie! A lot of fans, including myself, want Reid to find real love. Just because I want it to be JJ doesn't mean I wouldn't welcome someone else even more perfect for him. I really liked Maeve. Also, since Paget has zero desire to return, most we'll see Em is a guest spot here and there... but it sure will be welcome! :)
  15. Anything spec or spoilery for season ten is fine here. :)
  16. Our Kevin *coughImeanXandercough* got married! http://www.eonline.com/news/585582/buffy-the-vampire-slayer-star-nicholas-brendon-gets-married-one-week-after-proposing?cmpid=sn-111021-facebook-na-eonline
  17. Matthew directed that episode, The Lesson, millennium. His are usually far more fanciful and 'spooky campfire story' than anything rooted in fact. His other one that season, Alchemy, actually had the walls sucking people in.
  18. That was the first time anyone ever saw JJ, including Reid (Compulsion). She was friendly, but damn busy. I thought it was a swell introduction to her character, and I really liked how she said "My door is always open, pretty much because I'm never there." But she said it with a smile. :)
  19. JMO, that's the millions of viewers, if I'm not mistaken.
  20. What I was wondering is if it will be the entire table read or just a snippet from it. Either way, cool! They started putting pics up from the reads a couple seasons ago, now a vid! Imagine that... like we're right there in the room with them. Awesome.
  21. Kate pretended to be into kids, too ("I like pretty things, it makes sense that I like girls."). That's how she got him to trust her. Re: the numbers, Erica said they didn't even plan it that way originally. Something about how "Stalker" worked out and because of another show they pushed it back, then it all came together.
  22. Ewww. Maybe that was part of their 'charm'. He did smell it. DAS SO NASTY!
