I wonder what (who) they will discuss with Sally Field?

Probably out of respect for her bereavement. Meghan is such a bitch for taking the time off that she needs.

I'm pretty sure Meghan is being shown in the intro because she's still on the show. How cruel would that be to take her out of the intro. I don't know why one would assume she's being given special treatment. If Joy suffered some kind of loss, everyone would scream blue murder if she were deleted from the intro. Seems kind of mean spirited to have hissey fits because she's on leave and still considered part of The View. Why would he talk about it? Everyone would go nuts if he flaunted his wealth. It's no secret, in any case.

I think it is valuable to hear various opinions. He adds an alternative perspective. Perhaps they think if they ignore her she will go away. ?

If she wants to support him, that's fine. There are consequences, though. I would not expect her to discuss the subject on this show. I think she will probably resign from The Talk - too awkward. She & Les can go to The Bahamas & live out the rest of their lives.

I did say that that's what the producers want. Seems to be working for them in the ratings. Maybe the women's views are the ones they are sharing. I can always tune out if I don't care for the mix of opinions. I think bereavement is very personal. If she needs the time, why not take it? I'm kind of shocked that people are begrudging time off (and I'm no Meghan fan).

You can take that Medicare from our cold, dead hands! This could be about Meghan. Obviously TPTB want this type of person on the show, to communicate the other side's viewpoint. I must say, that Abby doesn't bother me.

I wish they would finish the damn topics that they post on the right hand side. They blather on about some boring sh*t, and never get to the good stuff. Don’t post “coming up” if they aren’t going to bother - sometimes it’s 3 or 4 that they don’t get to.

It’s not just this show. There are SO many shows on now with similar formats & guests that the topics become really stale. Abby - Sara, I don’t think it matters that much! It’s just so much fluffy blah, blah, blah. As for politics, it’s fair enough to discuss in these times.

I liked him when he would guest on Oprah. Can't stand his show - I wonder how hard it is to find all those dysfunctional families. I don't get Sharon's appeal. Do the viewers like her?
