  1. Under normal circumstances, I would like this character. They've even managed to make Sarah Shahi tolerable for me (in the past she has killed my enjoyment of any show she appeared in). But, that they messed up the team dynamic so much by bringing both her and Root as regular cast members, and killed off Carter, I just can't like her here. I miss the old dynamics so much. If they had her as semi-recurring like Zoe was, or Elias, etc, that would have been fine. Even better, I think they should have spun her off into her own show, with Northern Lights and the relevants. Or, if they want her "rogue", maybe another chapter for the irrelevants in another city working with Root.
  2. Here are a few of mine... Law & Order: I liked Elizabeth Rhom and Jamie Ross as my least favorite assistant DA Suits: Donna is my least favorite character. I am sick of her telling people what they really feel and think and how they should act. And I'm sick of her big-eyed looks and general smugness. I even like Rachel better than her. Criminal Minds: I prefer Gideon to Rossi. Now, I do like Rossi, I just don't love his character. After his initial introduction, he just became bland. I also liked Elle. NCIS:LA - Deeks ruined the show for me. I haven't watched since he became a regular. And now I'll try to watch in syndication and can't, he just annoys me that much. And I feel the same about these, too.
  3. I remember him that way too. And I thought that was a bit much for one generation of inbreeding, but I really don't know much about these things so I could be wrong.
  4. Well, since I linked a few other male cast members, here's some good Shemar.
  5. Maybe Mamma Grimm will end up raising the baby, in the closest thing to a normal life it can have. She can go back into "hiding" so to speak, and stop doing her Grimm and Resistance related activities, but she does have the knowledge and skills needed in case any freaky thing finds them and comes their way. And this can all be in off-screens-ville until they need some sort of plot contrivance.
  6. Ah thanks, I missed that part some how,
  7. Will in his right mind, doing what he can to get Hannibal, playing this high-stakes mental chess match is hella-sexy. Oh Alana, I understand why you wouldn't suspect Hannibal, but still. I hope you feel real out of sorts when you are finally convinced. Why did those guards attack Gideon? Were they paid by Hannibal or something?
  8. I was crawling the interwebs looking for pictures of Reid's hair and came across this good Hotch picture.
  9. And then there's this site.
  10. Going back to the hair, or the looks, in general. While looking for Reid's hair by season (oh the things I google after reading these forums), I came across these pictures. I would love to see some of these looks on the show. ETA: or in my house... sitting next to me.
  11. Well, Blanch and Dorothy wouldn't believe Rose about her cousin? (or was it sister) that she always tries to take the things Rose has. Even when they found out she never told Rose about going to the movies with them and other things I'm blanking on right now.
  12. There are many memorable quotes, some good, some bad, some humorous, some sad. Here are a few I remember.. Matt Paxton, and lead to the title of his podcast: We're all 5 decisions away from pooping in a bucket. Hoarder Millie(?): I had a plan for that rock! Nadine: Can I get you pickle? I'm in a pickle!
  13. I agree with both of those, jonesingjay. It's a plot I don't like in any show I've seen it in, when someone's friends or family suddenly don't believe them over something they would never lie about. They suddenly take the word of the person they don't know, or barely know, over someone they've trusted for years. And they also usually assign some malicious intent to their friend as well.
  14. I'm pretty close to that myself - love Chip, Brad and Jeff. I have been loving Nyima too and Keegan.
  15. Love the title. The first one I thought of it the one where Marie purposely relabels some herbs/spices when "teaching" Debra to cook something. Even though it leads to the "Who's the crazy one now, Ray!" line, that was just beyond mean.
  16. Hello everyone. I love ELR, it's one of the shows I'll put on as background noise when at home (this and Law & Order) - it's the TV equivalent of comfort food for me. I didn't watch it much when it originally aired - maybe here and there, but grew to love it in syndication.
  17. I wish you could too. While Ray was often shown as being lazy, I loved that he was just so into his wife. So many sitcoms previously had men not being interested in even sex with their wives. Granted, being more supportive around the house might have made that easier.
  18. I fall on the side of saint, because even though she willingly moved across the street from the Barones there's no way she could imagine what it would be like. Even with Ray telling her they are meddling, she probably thought meddling in a normal way. That said, there wouldn't be a show if they weren't across the street from them.
  19. As much as I love this show, there are some real clunkers in it's run. Some whole episodes and some just smaller plots or moments within an episode. Some of the easy ones are whole eps - Empty Nest and Brother Can You Spare a Jacket. One moment I don't like is really all based on one word. In the episode where Rose has a heart attack and her daughter comes to the hospital. She tells the girls she won't let them see Rose because they are just roommates. It's the word "roommates" that sets me on edge. If she had said "you're just her friends" I would have been fine. She was upset, she doesn't know them that well, keeping them out -I was fine with that. It's just that choice of word seems so wrong.
  20. I'm not sure how I feel about Root taking on the relevants. Even with 1 day, they could be anywhere. The gov't wasn't just tracking them down, or otherwise dealing with them, in NY or even just the eastern seaboard. I liked that Reese was a little more present in this episode. And while it was fun watching him get slapped over and over I just wondered if it was overkill. Yes, it sounds like he (Frank?) was a real cad, but that was 20 years ago for these people. And even if he is still a creep (and it sounds like he might be with 3? divorces or something mentioned) he's in WI so it's not like they've seen him recently. It seems eyerolling, brushing past, ignoring would be more in line. It could still be funny with every time Reese tried to strike up a conversation or smile at someone to have them walk offin a huff.
  21. I still up for it! Favorite eps or chronologically - either is fine with me. Probably 1-2 a week though,
  22. The Best of ELR: Your Favorite Moments Some of my favorite moments and/or episodes are when all 2-3 of the families are together. Whether Debra's parents and the Barones, Amy's parents and the Barones or all 3 of them. For example I love the episode where we learn Pat smokes, Hank liked to blow stuff up, and Amy turns Roberts toothbrush. I also liked when the Barones were at Amy's place and Marie wouldn't let Frank eat a muffin - and he ended up with a pants-muffin. "Nothing good can come from family!" Or when Pat kills the bird. But I do also really like some of the core cast episodes. Like when Ray tells Debra the PTA said she dressed trampy and she comes out all "tarted up". And the whole set of episodes with Robert in a cult to get Debra and Marie talking to each other again.
  23. I like all the moments and scenes mentioned. These are two of my favorites. I also liked her in Broken Mirror, when she took down the guy in the end - fought him off, then put her foot in his crotch to find out the location of the missing twin. And I liked her in Plain Sight (?) when she and Hotch (and others on the team?) come in to talk to the recent victim (but not of the rapist they were looking for) and sees the room and says, exhasperated "She's surrounded by men!" and gets the woman out of the room to talk - even saying she doesn't have to talk about what happened. But low and behold, she remembered and opened up.
  24. I always liked how gentle he was to victims and how well he handled it when the victims were found. I don't have episode titles in my head right now, but some boy stashed in an attic/crawl space is one example... Sorry - been a long day and memory is fading. I liked his intensity too, and how personally and how much he internalized things. Everthing about the case was so urgent because if they can't solve it quickly, another victim will die. That lead to what many showed as meanness to others at times and not using the normal social niceties, but if my loved one was in danger I'd like them to be that intensely focused.
