I love that she's so close to the 3rd year vets because she should've made it that year anyway! The only rookie from her class she seems to be close with is Chandi. That rookie class (the current 2nd years going into their 3rd) does not seem close at all!

I've not watched the season yet! It wasn't on the highlights clip on Youtube. Then again, they showed Kat and she was embarrassing to me!

She might have said it, doesn't mean she really meant it. She'd have found a way to cut them the following year in TC. I saw the highlights from the episode last night and the way she talked to Hannah kind of annoyed me. She sounded dismissive when Hannah said she was crying daily and wasn't in a good place by saying we've all been there, when she knows her mental health struggles (diagnosed by a doctor).

I've just watched the extended highlights of season 15 and I really think they tried to pick out the very worst clips of Brennan, Hannah and Lily. You could see mistakes across the board from rookies and vets yet they picked those three out. Based on the clips I saw, Savannah, Maddie, Madeline, Kat, Ashlee and Kristin made visible mistakes. I'd have kept 4 of the 5 cut on the last day (Brennan, Hannah, Ashlinn and Tori) and got rid of Kat, Kristin and Sydney, possibly even Madeline and Savannah. I really want to like Kat but I just find her too annoying, Kristin just doesn't wow me and Sydney just looked out of stamina at several points. Madeline and Savannah might be good teammates but they're two of the worst dancers on the team (not bad but not great) and I saw them make lots of mistakes in the clips, mostly on the field. The only thing going against Tori was her kicks. How Ashlinn didn't get a spot, I'll never know. I actually really like Alora-Rose; she's got a similar style to Meredith but is better in pom style. I think she's pretty coachable.

See, I love them trying new dance styles but maybe they should stick to hip-hop + jazz choreographers so it's in keeping with the show. Then again, the Tyce Diorio is my fave routine they've done and that wasn't DCC style! Maybe more ex-DCC, Evan Miller, Denise Dicharry, Charm, Nick Florez. Keith Green was my favourite teacher they've had on because I loved the compliment he gave Brianna. I love Travis Wall and Marty Kudelka but definitely not DCC style. Maybe just have one contemporary/lyrical guest choreographer just before show group auditions? I'd like to see more of what goes on throughout the season too, not just leading up to the first game! Like how do they plan for the Christmas spectacular and choose the second triangle below the stage? Amanda looked amazing at the point as a rookie the other year!

Gina's going on my list of best technical dancers ever. She's superb and the best dancer on the squad right now. I don't mind her expressions annoying at all, she's just feeling the music all the time!

Whilst I always say dance is number one, they only dance for like 8 games a season (plus a couple of pre-season and play-offs, which the Cowboys barely progress in when they make it). I can understand picking people on other attributes. However, being pretty or having a story shouldn't be that. I think that's why people like Kim T, Veronica L, Miranda, Alexis, Amy L, Savannah, Brennan, Taylor J etc are kept because they're okay dancers (relaible for the most part but not particularly technical usually) but they're great ambassadors. Surely 95% of their appearances are just speaking to people, not dancing. That's what show group is for. To me, as much as I want to see more dancing, they should do more appearance + interview training, from veterans and hospital visits, school visits, in the local community, because that's ultimately what most of them will spend their time doing. How they interact with different people in different scenarios on the fly would be much better training. I doubt most of them will do many media interviews either so maybe scrap that too! Probably why I'm more in favour of having two groups of cheerleaders: one on the field dancing + other performances. The other group purely for appearances who look great in the uniform as a bonus.

I'll never understand why they filled the squad with extras that year. The only season I'd have had extra spots was season 12 to keep Heather H, Taryn and Brennan and season 13 to keep Lily and Tara. Then again, I'd have squads smaller than 36 most years to only keep 'the best of the best' and make other cuts during those seasons!

Couldn't agree more about Jenn A. Like you say, she's a great dancer but she's no Melissa W/Holly P/Megan C/Olivia R (my absolute faves). Even Hannah and Samantha were better than her from her rookie year. She's a clean, smart dancer, which is what K&J love. However, she's very DCC in all ways. She rubbed me the wrong way when she didn't like Brennan at that field practice (think it was her 2nd go at TC). Hold it right there, pal! From then on, when I watched from her rookie season, she got on my nerves. She always seemed to be the 'go-to' vet for everything. The only thing I liked about her was her maturity. I usually root for 'older' rookies (instead of those fresh out of school) because there's never enough of them (like there was in the early MTT days). Her choreography is typical DCC style too so if I wanted to be a DCC, I'd be at her prep classes every week. I imagine she passes through info to K&J about vets that look weak or rock-star potential rookies.

I loooooved Heather, was it Kristi Scales who said she can turn like Mr Mistoffelees in Cats? I think the only thing going against her was she was just so tiny! Surely going wrong once on the kickline at auditions wasn't a dealbreaker? They don't cut people for not being able to kick half of the time!

Katelynn (and Katy Shaffer?) are the two candidates who I wish had got to TC. Katelynn had the whole package (unless she bombed her interview). I liked her long, dark hair, just needed the extensions taking out or trimming a few inches. I know they cut Katy for weight but I agree with Charm, I think she would've trimmed up if they'd have discussed it with her.

We've heard there are 8 in total but only Rachel A, Alanna and Cianna have announced anything yet.

I think I'm in the minority who like Kitty, probably because she's like most dance teachers I've had. That scene really painted her in a different light so I feel like she's been told to put on that over-the-top persona for the show. Her critiques are better than 'sloppy', 'noodle-y' or 'crispy bacon'.

I mean if you're going to learn how to kick, you might as well learn off the best! Just try not to kick your face!

I agree, she's beautiful but doesn't look like a typical DCC. She adds some much needed diversity and seems like a lovely young woman. A natural beauty!

I think she'd be a great DCC but she's got a look of Marissa about her (cute girl, short with blonde hair) but she looks a bit more mature. I have to say Kristin is totally underwhelming in that video. I like her but don't love her, she's not the strongest in DCC style yet she'll be going into her third year. I mean, if Hannah can get cut for that supposedly, could she?

Around 1.50, is that Rachel W second in on the left who does the complete wrong move? I love Gina at point and have to admit, Marissa has more pop than most of them. Then again, some have been doing this same routine for 4-5 years, she's still a newbie! The only thing I've ever thought Tess was excellent at was kicking.

Preach it! She's my fave all-round DCC ever! There isn't a style of dance she doesn't suit. Sure, she had tonnes of tricks but her dance foundations were solid too.

I second that (apart from Bridget), she's one of the most versatile dancers they have currently. The only reason I think she doesn't move forward in the triangle is her height (or lack of)! That rookie class has some of the best technical dancers they've ever had. Just wish more of them were still there!

One of my biggest bugbears! If she could speak more than a handful of words, I'd be impressed but it sounds like she only knows about 3.

I thought Ashlee worked there at some point and doesn't Rachel A date Cade (the guy they showed on the show before in that cringey pre-calendar shoot scene with Alexis and Lexie?)? I see Brennan in a few shots too and she is really photogenic without being too drop-dead gorgeous (like Rachel W) as is Jalyn. I mean that in a nice way, crazy pretty but they look like you could say hi to them and they'd be lovely! Rachel W strikes me as a bit snooty sometimes.

Does anyone have a list of people who are attending the DCC Audition Intensive this weekend? I'd love to see some fresh faces on my IG!
