All Past Seasons of the Late Lamented Show
DCC-UK replied to ByTor's topic in Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team
@ByTor I was just going to say the same thing. The real world and DCC world are very different. It was probably the fact that she was sneaky about it, considering her teammates obviously knew about it. You know Kelli hates it when people use DCC as a stepping stone (I mean they're only there for a few years and then what?). I liked Alora Rose (solid, technical dancer) but her heart was never 100% dedicated to DCC and Kelli hates that. Most only auditioned during that year because it was the only dance job available! -

UK friends, season 15 is finally airing over here on Sunday morning on MTV. Looks like it's being repeated on weekday mornings too. We can finally watch it on a TV screen rather than a dodgy illegal stream online! -

I like how you get to see different people shine too. I'm currently rewatching season 12 on UK television and at least they try to get some variety. There's usually at least one hip-hop and one lyrical/contemporary guest choreographer in each season (on the show at least). I think especially for the vets, it must be a bit boring to keep dancing the same old pom routines year on year. At least they bring in a bit of change! Plus it must save the girls some money by not having to go to other studios to work on other dance styles! -

See, as a dancer, I love the guest choreographers. I get a bit bored of seeing the same old Judy choreography and like it when they mix it up. They're some of the best choreographers in the industry so it's pretty cool to be able to take a class from them. Potentially, they could even hire you if you're really good at their style! To each their own :) -

I got very defensive when they chatted about her hair because mine is the same colour! The only note I had was maybe it was a tad long, she looks great with long hair but a couple of inches shorter could've made it less harsh (like Jinelle's). I've no idea what they were talking about her looking old, it's not like she looked 70 or something. I was rooting for her to watch the show back and return the following year. -

I believe that's Jax. Erica is joint lead with Jenna, with the black and white checked shirt around her waist. -
Tori can't be that far back surely? I'd have her where Armani is at the very least and have Armani out on the edge somewhere. I know Tori is a tall girl so between her, Jada, and Victoria, they need to balance each other out somehow. Is that Karley the 2nd year on the fourth row? I don't really remember her being a standout in her first year. Then again, it's been hard to follow everything with no show! Looks like she got a Barbie this year so maybe she's stepped up as a vet! Loving seeing Megan so far forward, she really sells a performance. Lea should be moved forward a bit too but at least she's on the outside. Is Jessica the new Danielle or Nicole Bulcher? Dependable and a great teammate but not a standout performer.

We get Pluto in the UK but no DCC channel, boo! -
Christina has always reminded me of Miranda and Savannah (obvs not looks-wise). Not the best dancer but one of the best ambassadors. I'd be intrigued to know why she was cut but then without the show, we'll have no idea. I would assume she got outdanced because I can't imagine she failed the interview portion.

I personally think she left because the rookies were getting more technical, meaning she might disappear into the background a bit/possibly risking getting cut at finals. Sure, she is gorgeous (all of them are) but she wasn't exactly a strong, technical dancer. She definitely improved but she wasn't the best dancer. The year she retired (2018) was arguably one of the most talented rookie classes, with five of them making it onto show group as rookies.

I thought Brandi was very respectful because if someone was saying I looked like a stripper, I'd have struggled to keep quiet! I preferred her curly hair, which gave her a distinctive look. She was silly not to cut her nails down a bit though. Long nails and pom poms don't go well together. -

They did a version of the kickline on YouTube, just without the middle section of fan kicks/leg lift and just a regular split at the end! If not, you can probably piece together the full kickline from the compilation video. I've watched it enough times to know it by heart! -

I've always thought this was a weird one. Whilst my faves are usually the best dancers, I'd say a DCC's season is predominantly appearances, much more than dancing. Wouldn't you want those with experiences of meeting the general public in a cheerleading capacity? You can be the best dancer the team's ever had but if you can't hold a conversation well, there's no point in being a cheerleader. -
I feel like we've seen a lot less of her in the past year, compared to her first year. It's a lot for really what is a part-time, underpaid job on a full-time schedule! I'm surprised more of the girls don't have burnout because they seem to be on the go all the time. I say this as someone who's always juggled multiple plates myself: work, studying, running a blog, hobbies, relationships, family, friends etc.

I think her, Karissa, Kalli Fullerton, Alexandra, Courtney s10, Kyndall, Amy A, and Malena are some of the ones that come to mind in this category. They'd be great ambassadors but the dancing/memory wasn't quite there (apart from maybe Courtney and Kyndall). I always find these cuts harder because we often warm to these types of women, they become fan favourites but they just don't have the right technique or showmanship for the field. I know Malena's meltdown didn't help her but you can't deny she might be one of the most knowledgable TCCs they've ever had about the NFL. She shined in interviews but her memory was horrendous.
