It definitely looks like a sequence of moves, rather than a choreographed routine. I imagine it's the most popular moves they use in most routines, just mushed into one. It seems very hip-hop, which isn't Lily's strong point. Many of these ladies don't look particularly classicly trained (poor feet placement, falling out of a double pirouette and flexibility on the kicks) but on the field, hip hop looks much better!

Assuming they all return: Alora-Rose might get swallowed up on the field (I actually like her but she's not great in the DCC style or very powerful) but her kicks might keep her there Jada wasn't very powerful either and her kicks will have to be exceptional to be on the 50 yard line Sydney looked like she needed to up her stamina. I think DCC dance more than other teams and in a more energetic style (I might be wrong, we see very little of any cheerleaders in the UK)

I think she'd have been a great DCC, I can't really remember why she was cut to be quite honest! I love that cut and colour on her too but I loved the ginger too (and previous pics of her blonde looked amazing too)! She's like Emma Stone, looks incredible with any hair colour!

It's DCC land ,of course it makes sense! My biggest pet peeve is that they expect all girls at the same height to weigh the same. Taking the petite girls as an example, Jenna Lene was tiny and only 18 when she tried out, she had a very girl-like figure. Courtney tried out 2 season later aged 24, still petite but with a more womanly figure. How can you expect them to look the same with a 6 year age gap? -
Wow, McKenzie is amazing! Bloody hell, that quintuple is nearly flawless (I'd only say a little more releve but it looks hard in those Laduca heels). I love her love for Broadway jazz and she's great in that style. I feel like we didn't get to see her much this season. If she can do other styles, she should be a shoo-in for show group. But SG already has a leggy blonde who can turn. Oh wait...

I detest the scene where she is cut when Kelli says "we've all have a tough time this summer" or something along those lines. She just lost multiple friends in a tragic accident. Going through eight weeks of dance in a pressure cooker is hard work, grief is so much more.

I would've LOVED to see Holly P at point. She had a sparkle that very few DCC have had. Sure, she was very confident but she could sell any routine. Super clean and fun in the DCC style and spectacular in everything else!

BMI is basically an inaccurate measurement nowadays. Petite girls can still be curvy (Courtney had biggish boobs if I remember correctly) and looked just fine. Brittney and taller girls get to carry a bit more weight too. As long as the girls are healthy, I don't care if they're a few pounds 'overweight'. As a petite girl myself (5"2ish), I didn't really 'fill' out until I was in my early twenties. I could lose a bit of weight to feel healthier but not to get to that sort of ballpark! -
I'm warming to this idea now because the third/second years are some of the best dancers they've had. Amanda, Amber, Ashlee, Caroline, Erin, Gina, Jalyn and Kelcey deserve to be up in the diamond and let's face it, VK will be up there soon enough too. I've not seen enough of the rookies to see who should be up there!

Anyone want to draw the triangle of who's where? When Gina is point on her own, who is the long-haired blonde completing the front three? Lexie? Also FINALLY GINA IS POINT! K+J should bang their heads together as this should've happened after Kashara retired!

Does anyone else get Dani and Jessica mixed up? I genuinely think they might be the same person.

The only thing I wouldn't practice would be jump split because it needs to be taught properly (although I'm not sure it is on the show either). I think if I was serious, I'd go to a gymnastics gym and practice the jump split on lots of soft padding! I suppose if they come from out of state, they can only use the show or Youtube as a guideline. However, I live in the UK, know the entire kickline sequence and have self-taught myself a few dances (for fun). Their Star Style channel online is great for longer routines as are most of the IG videos that most of the girls put up from prep classes. You might not get the moves down perfectly but that would be cleaned up in person! -
I know she's slim but she always has been. If she was sick, it would show in her face more too (I had an ED growing up and look gaunt all the time). If I looked like that now, I'd be in crop tops and booty shorts all the time. I think Gina looks stunning here. The costume looks dark and dramatic so I'm assuming a contemporary piece with lyrical elements.

I'd say the same about Lisa too. She did visit Taylor P over the weekend and a couple of the rookies have been to her heels classes but other than that, nothing. I love that the whole of Alanna's rookie class turned up for her shower. They're definitely one of the best we've ever had, both dance-wise and personality-wise. Also, made me miss Bridget all over again!

In a way, I wouldn't want this in real life. Sometimes you just don't fit in with the role/workplace so don't give it your all. With Lily, I can't see anything on MTT that would put her in a negative light. She's polite, well-spoken, intelligent, good in interviews and a solid dancer. Any other team would be lucky to have her!

I didn't mind it because it's exactly like my own! It can be really hard to curl such flat hair. Once you get around your head, you have to start all over again! I've no idea what they have against non-curled hair! She just needed some layers cutting into it to make it swing more. -
I'm always in two minds with Kashara. Sometimes I think she's hilarious because she's so unpolished and un-DCC but then I find her annoying at other times. However, she was a powerful dancer, very pretty, reliable (after her first night costume mishap), a strong leader and a great teammate. I liked her more when she roomed with Yuko and her reaction to being point was genuine and heartfelt. Caroline is an odd one to me. A beautiful, clean dancer, seems poised and well-spoken but very impressionable. Then again, most of these girls are pretty green, they've barely lived in the real world. Then again, they're adults, not children, they're responsible for themselves.

Which is why I have such an issue with Brennan being cut. Danielle was a fan favourite and went into finals with an injury. Brennan went into TC after suffering from Covid (and there are lots of data to support her potentially having long-term covid), also a fan favourite. Just seems to be one rule for some (often the stereotypical pretty girls) and one rule for others (Kelli's non-faves).- 6.8k replies

I think she looks pretty slim, it's just that Julia is realllly slim and petite in all ways. Tori is built a little like Rachel A for me, a bit more muscular and curvy. Healthy is fine by me!

I loved Karissa, she'd have been a great ambassador and seemed okay in the DCC style (far worse have made the squad before). Sure, she wasn't as trained as most but she seemed really lovely and would've have been great on any sort of appearance (with young and old). I like that she was a little unpolished and not a typical DCC looker. I also loved her working-class background, living out of her car and not having parents with lots of money. Most DCC seem to have the same privileged background of a top-notch university or family. -
That's the one I saw. I just couldn't be bothered to log into IG on my laptop! Caroline looks great here btw
-
Anyone spot that Caroline has moved to Austin? Could she be retiring?

My current faves (all-round ie dance, looks, personality) are Alanna, Amanda, Ashlee, Briana, Erin, Jalyn and Kelcey. I'm desperate to see Amanda and Kelcey in the triangle! This is my fave Amanda clip. She looks like she's doing a different dance in a good way. To me, she's the only one who gets into it, changes up her face and really feels the music. I love seeing the contrast between Kelcey and Amanda. Kelcey is really easy to watch and is a strong, technical dancer. Amanda has that fire and performance whilst having technique (I know she's not the most flexible though).

I honestly think most of the women have iffy memory because of the pressure they're under. Even someone like Lauren (ex Dolphins) had dreadful memory but made SG as a rookie and is considered a fave by many. I think Amy was a great pom dancer and had a maturity about her but for me, her kicks did improve but not enough. Then again, I've always thought Maddie's kicks were dreadful and she's achieved pretty much everything as a DCC! I don't think Amy was highly emotional, only on the night she got cut. I'll always remember that pre-finals session with Kitty where she says she has a lot to fix so no time to cry. That speaks of strong emotional intelligence.- 6.8k replies
