  1. He's clearly cooked. He was held in the interrogation room at CIA (for 12 hours), it was the next morning since Ritter told Mark that the President was getting on the plane as they spoke. Ritter obviously knows about Mark's treason. Jack looked like he was about to kill himself with his handgun when he heard Audrey had died. Then he heard the guards, snapped out of it, and rage-killed. I'm sad about Audrey's death. Always liked her, and she could never catch a break. Married to the drip Paul Raines, and then married to the traitor Mark Boudreau. I don't feel bad for Mark at all. He worked with the Russians, who were working with Cheng, who killed Audrey. That knowledge will eat at him until he is strapped into the chair for lethal injection. Am I the only one who couldn't remember the specifics of why the Russians wanted Jack? It's been like 4 years. Some exposition or brief explanation, like how Chloe told Adrian about Cheng, would have been nice. The show kind of fell flat for me after Margot died. She made this show. Cheng is a cartoon, and I didn't care for the Russians.
  2. I like Maya, and I think she has potential. When she first came on the show as the po' ex-con who was constantly harrassing Daisy about her dead child, she worked my last nerve. They have really transformed her. I like that she had a brief fling with Rick. But then they brought in Carter, and oh, young black man alert, must be paired with young black female. Why? Same thing happened with Daisy. Daisy and Thomas had potential. Then they had to pair her off with Mushmouth. Yeah, you could see Deacon's eyes light up. The only thing saving Wyatt right now from a theft I think is the fact that Deacon seems to have some affinity for Quinn, and might not want to screw over her son. Wyatt should go get that thing insured immediately. I really hope they don't go this route. After all Deacon knows the diamond is meant for Hope, his own daughter. I don't understand the completely superfluous introduction of Ivy, but hey, at least it's new blood.
  3. Why is Carter still on the show? He's thoroughly useless. His only connection was Mushmouth. Mushmouth is thankfully long gone. Now he is with Maya. Why do they, out of the hundreds of Forrester employees, get to sit in on executive meetings? It doesn't look like he is doing any actual lawyering for the company. And she's just a model. I'd can them both. Especially after her stunt on the steam room. Being back Bridget, Owen and Jackie
  4. I think the time jump is going to happen in the last 5 minutes. The flag draped coffin scene looked like it was during daytime. So I could see a 12 hour jump. And I do think it's Mark that is dead. Jack will be comforting Audrey on the tarmac as her husband's body is loaded on to the plane to take them back to the States.
  5. I laughed hard too so I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one. I actually rewound and rewatched that part 10 times. Obviously I'm not a Liam fan here, haha.
  6. Imagine yourself in this situation... you are lying on your back after getting tripped. You didn't hit your head and you are fully conscious. A crazy psycho woman holds a dagger above you. She clenches it with both hands and is about to plunge it into your heart as if she were an ancient Roman priestess performing a ritual animal sacrifice. WHAT on earth do you do?????? Do you: A) FIGHT! You have arms, right? Get them up and grab her wrists! You're taller than her and have a longer reach, and I would hope that even though you are scrawny for a healthy young man, that you are stronger than she is and can overpower her. B) Lay there like a weakling and placidly wait for it to be all over. I just don't get it. Liam is a wimp through and through. Hope should check to see if he has any testicles. Perhaps he doesn't believe in fighting a woman, but what was the alternative? Being a gentleman won't win him any points when he's dead.
  7. They called the character played by Philip Winchester (blonde guy who plays Stonebridge on Strike Back) "Colonel". Why would a mere colonel (whether Army or Marines, doesn't matter) be in the inner circle of the President? And why would he be in a position of making decisions? Did all the generals (and I have to believe there are a lot of them) get killed off? That flag draped coffin from next week had better not contain the body of Mark Boudreau. He doesn't deserve the honour. But it's too obvious if it's Heller.
  8. I see him as weak. Why doesn't he stand up to Quinn? After she poked him with that stupid sword, why didn't he get a restraining order if he thought it was such a big deal? He sees Quinn lit up in the dark looking all menacing, and then he's cowering like a baby. Most recently, when she entered his apartment again, why does he tolerate it? Surely he's strong enough to physically shove her out of his house? He asked her to leave. She refused. Pick her up and physically remove her from the premises. He looks scrawny and weak, but you don't need a lot of strength to do a fireman's carry (sling her over his shoulder) and then throw her out. Now she has this sword at his neck. Why'd he even let it get to that? Does she look like she knows how to use it? The minute she pulled that thing out, he should have used both of his hands and grabbed both of her wrists and pinned her to the floor? Even though he is physically small and scrawny, surely even he could have overpowered this woman who has to be at least in her mid 40s. He's what, 25, at most? A 25 year old man can't best a 45 year old woman in a fight? Based on what we have been shown, I'd say there's a strong case to be made for saying they are making him look pathetically weak.
  9. I loved the Medieval Times scenes, and the fact that the four of them went in full costume, which people rarely do. I have to wonder why they gave Oliver a blue crown that didn't have "Medieval Times" on it. It was almost as if they weren't allowed to say the name, but anyone who has ever been to one of their shows recognises the script. Even down to the "Lady Catalina" and the knights totally purposefully falling off their horse. I loathe Liam and I'm sure nothing is going to happen to him, but really, could he look like a huger sissy? Turn on the lights, or call the cops, or call your girlfriend to come and protect you. But don't sit there and cower like a baby.
  10. I screamed when Navarro was smugly demanding full immunity because I thought they were going to give it to him, and then cheered when Kate made it unnecessary. So Mark actively sought to allow the Russians to take Jack, all because he's insecure about his small penis? Oops, we need Jack to recover the doohickey that can start World War 3? "I've left you THREE messages, call off the hit on Bauer!!!!" Hahahahahaha. I hope he's so done. Audrey is clearly going to leave him. Hope he and Navarro both get the death penalty for treason. Cheng Zhi is awesome as usual. Glad that we have seen the last of Cross. He was a pretty useless villain. We barely knew anything about him other than the fact that, like Mark Boudreau, he has an intense jealousy of Jack Bauer. I don't think Chloe will die, if only because I would think they would want to keep open the possibility of future seasons, and she and Jack are the constants.
  11. No offence, but this is the spoiler topic, and if you can't divulge the source, could you at least type them out, instead of coyly talking about them as if we have read them? Because right now, you're doing "I've Got a Secret" and I'm thinking that most of us really don't care for playing "I've Got a Secret". Either please share so everyone can participate fully in the discussion, or just pretend like nothing was said, and move on. But don't keep dangling things in front of us, because I've seen that happen too many times on the other board, and it never ends well. For example: "Tara's not the only death in the main cast." You could just say who it is?

I am a big Sharapova fan so I'm disappointed she's out. With Serena gone, her path had been easier, but oh well. Not sure what is going on with Serena, hope she is OK. I always like when Venus and Serena play doubles together. Now I'm pulling for Eugenie Bouchard. It's been a long time since Canada had any singles players of note. The last one I recall of any note was the lovely Carling Bassett-Seguso, and she wasn't that great. Now with Bouchard and Raonic, it's good for Canada. Shocked that Nadal was dumped. I can't stand Bitter Beer Face Federer, and I hope that someone beats him.

I don't understand that either. I know "the Middle Sunday is traditionally a day of rest" but if there have been rain delays that have upset the schedule why not use that day to catch up on some of them? The other thing I don't get is like today, when there was a period of rain that delayed all of the matches except for Murray. After play can resume, why not delay some of the girls and boys matches and move some of the matches around to those courts/slots? Honestly, I don't think many people watch tennis on TV looking for boys and girls tennis. And if the boys and girls tennis have to get delayed past the second Sunday, I doubt many would care.

I'm crushed for Venus. This is the best she has played in a while, she hadn't made it past the first or second round in a Slam in quite some time. She could have pulled it off but just couldn't get it done. Hope it gives her some confidence though, I think she still has some decent years left in her. Also fun to see Lleyton Hewitt almost pulling off a win against the Polish sensation Janowicz. He knows his best years are behind him but yet he still soldiers on, that's nice to see.
  15. Isn't he dead? For some reason I thought he was dead, like maybe he killed himself after being disgraced. Has this ever been said on the show or am I making it up?
  16. It seems obvious that Quinn is going to marry Deacon. It's going to be a desperate move by her to stay in Hope's life. She will be every bit the Wicked Stepmother and she's going to have access to Hope and continue to try and push Wyatt on her. I think it is also really obvious that Liam and Quinn are going to get together. Liam and Quinn are going to have hate sex. Then there's going to be a Who's the Daddy storyline. Is Quinn pregnant with Hope's half-sibling or her boyfriend's kid? Either way, Hope's head explodes. This is a soap opera, and it seems to me that the general rule is that whatever is going to cause the most drama and whatever is the least optimal result always seems to happen.
  17. This is a show that loves to throw out meaningless technobabble. Like a few weeks ago when Jordan and Navarro were talking about the Phoenix Rebirth protocol, or something like this. I have no doubt Jack was equipped with the latest Hailbrittaniatrope, which pings when near the presence of distinguished English ladies who married an Arab terrorist and became radicalised. The White House was also kind enough to lend Jack the use of the Ohshitmeter, which tells him when to fortuitously duck out of the way when someone is about to send a hail of bullets towards him. 24 wouldn't be 24 without Jack Bauer doing improbable Jack Bauer things.
  18. I find Audrey immensely more attractive than Kate. She is elegant, dresses well, and takes care of herself. Granted, Kate is a field agent and probably doesn't care what she looks like, but still. I can't get over Kate's dark brown eyebrows and the fact that she looks like she could be balding. Her hair is so thin looking. Kate is a good agent, and a good partner to Jack, and they should leave it at that, otherwise she would likely die. This was episode 9, are there really only three hours left? I hope this show comes back. I've missed it more than I thought I did. There's nothing else on TV right now that gives me an adrenaline rush like this show does.
  19. Yes, and there was the "I'm not leaving. I'm not going anywhere." But Wyatt didn't seem to insist that Liam leave. And Hope actually even said "you can stay". Why, exactly? Liam is an ass. The best thing about the whole Brooke/Bill/Ridge Dubai fiasco was that we didn't have to see Liam and his beady beady beady eyes on the show every single day. Wyatt deserves better. Wasn't Ally interested in him when she first came back to town? He needs to move on.
  20. I thought it was a great episode, but even though Margot deserved what she got, I'm disappointed that it happened so soon. The rest of the season to me is going to be a let down. Michelle Fairley made a great villain (she MUST get a "Best Guest Actress" Emmy next season!) and I feel that without her, I don't care as much. I couldn't care less about Steve Navarro. Why doesn't Jack just call Kate and tell her that Navarro stole the doohickey and had Jordan killed? I couldn't care less about Adrian Cross and his jealousy at the fact that Chloe is more loyal to Jack than she is to him. I couldn't care less about Mark Boudreau and his jealousy that his wife is soon going to leave him for Jack. When Jack said, "the only death on my head tonight is yours". Uhh, technically not true, did he not just throw Ian out the window? Would have been nice to have at least gotten a mention of Simone, and whether she is still alive, but "24" is notorious for ambiguous fates. They never even definitively addressed what happened to President Keeler, did they? It was just assumed he died offscreen. Maybe Simone and Behrooz get married and live together in Limbo. Nitpick... it would have been nice to have shown us exactly how Heller avoided the missile. We see him standing on the pitch. Ian and Margot see the video feed and launch the missile. I could have sworn we were shown a brief glimpse of a figure standing on the field as the missile hit (regular view, not through the video feed). So how'd they pull it off? It seemed like he walks out there and but 30 seconds later the missile hits. When did they have time to loop the feed and he looks to the side and they pull him off?
  21. While I've always liked Eileen Davidson, it's disappointing to me that in a year when voters finally appear to have decided enough is enough for Chipmunk Cheeks, that Katherine Kelly Lang still can't win. I hope one of these days she gets recognised. And while I don't think Kim Matula and Lindsey Godfrey are master thespians, I can't believe they both got beat by the twit who plays Summer on Y&R, as that girl is possibly one of the worst actresses ever to appear on the show. Here is a particularly appealing red carpet photo of Windsor Harmon. Well, appealing if you are into cadavers. 1) Hasn't the whole blonde frosted hair on guys fad passed? and 2) When you're 50 years old, shouldn't it have passed for you ages ago? http://www.trbimg.com/img-53a765c9/turbine/la-et-daytime-emmy-awards-2014-20140622-008/500
  22. While I agree with you that the mixing and matching annoys me to some degree (most notably in the case of Havok, who we are supposed to believe was a teen in 1973 which makes him way older than Cyclops), I don't necessarily think that Rogue and Bobby are supposed to be teens. Anna Pacquin is 31 years old, she's long removed from her days as the 12 year old kid from "The Piano". I'm not sure how old the characters in the comics are supposed to be anymore, but I always thought of Scott, Jean, Hank and Warren as around 30. Bobby I thought of as several years younger. Rogue was about 5 years younger or maybe early 20s. Storm is early to mid 30s, and Logan of course is ageless. James Marsden is actually 40 now. I think if there was a miscast, it was that he is too young or Famke Janssen is too old.
  23. I enjoyed the movie a lot, even if much of it doesn't make sense. Magneto decides to work with Charles to prevent Mystique's death. Since Mystique's death led to the acceleration of the Sentinel programme, giving them that adaptive ability, which leads to the death of all the X-Men in the future, including Maggy. Then for some reason he has a change of heart and decides he wants to kill her anyways? As much as I like Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Lawrence, this movie was way overrun with them. It was like they were the two main characters, with a side helping of Maggy. X-Men should be an ensemble. I'm curious as to why they made Jackman shave or trim his chest... since Wolverine in any continuity would never do that. I liked Quicksilver but I didn't like his look. Those goggles were just awful. I liked the new characters, especially Blink. She was way cool. I don't particularly care for Warpath or Bishop but it was nice to see some more diversity. Who were the two mutants at the army prison besides Havok and Toad and why were those two particularly chosen? One is labelled by IMDB as Ink. The other is just "Mutant Soldier". I wish Storm had a bigger role. I know Halle Berry was pregnant, but at some point in some future X-Men movie, could she please have a bigger role? Halle Berry was "Catwoman" in the standalone movie, which many have tried to forget about, but it still counts.
  24. Ridge looks like he has brain damage or something. So strange. No one asks him where he's been, how he survived the fall, where'd he get those angelic white clothes, where he's been staying. Disappointed that the episode didn't end with "how's Mom" or "take me home to my wife, I want to see Taylor, Phoebe, Steffy and Thomas". Or better yet, "What happened to my hair and my face? I used to have a mullet, a can of black dye, and ginsu cheekbones." And that white outfit highlights even more how fat this man is by soap standards. He looked like a barrel.
  25. She seems to have some kind of official administrative assistant type role although I'm not sure what her actual title is. She does seem to have some actual responsibilities. An episode or two ago, when Mark confronted her in the hallway and semi-apologised about not telling her about Jack, she excused herself and said she had to make some calls or something like that. But I'm not sure why a daughter acting as First Lady for her widowed father would be considered "sick". It's happened more than a number of times in history. Thomas Jefferson was widowed when he became President; his daughter acted as First Lady. Andrew Jackson's daughter-in-law acted as his First Lady. I think there are several other examples, for example, when the President's wife died while he was in office and the daughter took over, but those are probably the best-known ones. I paused and slo-mo'ed several times... from the emo swept over hair and the green shirt it certainly looks like him, but I could be wrong.
