  1. I loved this show and was crushed when it was cancelled. I thought it was the perfect vehicle for Robin's wackiness/creativity, and to me, the show worked. To say he was a genius is an understatement.
  2. Thanks for the correction about Wanda. I didn't realize that the "song" didn't happen till Palau. I can't imagine going through the hassle of getting cast into the show then not even getting to play. BTW, I happen to agree with Probst about how lousy Thailand was. I should have put Clay on my list of disliked contestants. And was Helen of this season the woman who recited recipes all day long? I'm a bit of a cook myself, but even to me that would have been incredibly annoying.
  3. They've got this Noffsinger guy dead to rights. If I was his lawyer I'd be trying to negotiate a manslaughter plea, because if this case goes to trial, he's going to lose big. The motive in this case is very strong and easy to see. Plus, the defense doesn't really have a good alternative suspect they can try an pin the case on. Took a quick look online, and the Paulding Sherrif's Office was very complementary of the whole Cold Justice staff. Turns out there were three cases that could be looked at, and the producers picked Alma's, in part because almost everyone involved was still alive and available. It seems that communities are going to be very open to having the Cold Justice team come help solve cases in the future.
  4. You know, after all these seasons and over 450 players, it's hard to remember everyone. :) I always liked Shii-Ann, Very smart, though not the best in the social game. I also liked the nerds, Cochrane and Spencer. Nice to see them find a way to do well. Loved Rob Cesternino. And dear old Neleh, how she ended up on this show is beyond me. The dislikes are much easier. Hated Coach from the second I laid eyes on his phony face. The Hantz' go without saying IMO. Na'Onka for being the biggest beyotch in Survivor history. And a quitter to boot. Jerri Manthey for, well, being Jerri. And wasn't it Patricia from Marquesas who sang that stupid Survivor song? She's on the list just for that.
  5. I'm glad that this show is being rerun. I loved it, and especially loved Amber and her terrific performance. But I'm also sad in a way because it reminds me of how the suits ruined this show. Anyway, I'm hoping new audiences get to see what we've seen in this show, especially in the first season.
  6. This is one time where had the two owners followed Marcus' advice, they'd be multi-millionaires. Their company had a great product, but the way they were building the trucks was ridiculous. A little commonsense would have lowered costs and increased profits and yet they'd rather argue and put their own selfish ways ahead of the company, and all their employees are worse off because of it. A real shame.
  7. I have to add a classic. From The Court Jester, Danny Kaye does "The Vessel with the Pestle"
  8. I first read the edited version of The Stand, and enjoyed it. Then when the uncut version came out, I got that and LOVED it. I can understand why some people might be overwhelmed by it, but I very much enjoyed it. I also very much enjoyed Misery. Very intense, and a lot more graphic than the movie, but for a King book, a lot more concise. I recently read 11/22/63, and frankly was sorry it had to end. A clever idea, King gives a major event a gigantic what if.
  9. This is a big topic for me, as I have about 60+ cookbooks at home. :) One favorite is Aaron Sanchez' "Simple Food, Big Flavor" Each chapter starts with a new sauce, then he gives recipes that uses that sauce. I also like Rick Bayless' "Everyday Mexican" I also use all three of Guy Fieri's "Diner's, Drive-ins and Dives" books. These books feature recipes from all the places he's visited and there are a ton of good recipes in them. Please note, these aren't Guy's recipes, they are the respective Diner's. And one that you wont believe is really great is "Mario Batali's "Mario Tailgates, NASCAR Style" Don't let the title put you off, there is a ton a great stuff to cook, and I've never once tailgated, nor been at a NASCAR race. :)
  10. This week has even less to go on than last week's case. Lee Savage is the likely killer, but there questions that just leave enough doubt so the case is tough to go any further. And I bet if this case goes to trial someday that Lee's attorney will try to blame his Dad.
  11. This is one of those cases where everyone knows who did it, but can't prove it. Not sure if they will ever get enough to get an indictment.
  12. I was astounded that Tim even made an offer to the Konery. The whole concept doesn't work, especially seeing that the cone falls apart when you eat it. The bread girl at least had an excellent product.
  13. Here's their Shark Tank ep: http://abc.go.com/shows/shark-tank/episode-guide/season-04/424-episode-424
  14. First off, I'm pissed that these girls got another chance to sell their vision after they couldn't get a deal on Shark Tank. The Sharks didn't see them being successful in a restaurant instead of a food truck, so I'm surprised that Joe and Tim would consider them. Yet, they succeed in getting a deal this time. Go figure....
  15. If I was the DA here, I'd offer to cut some time off of Bull's sentence to get him to roll on Becky. I don't think the case against Becky is that strong, but having Bull point the finger at her would seal the deal. But he may be either too stupid or too loyal or too dependent on Becky to do it.
