Is anyone else following the Chateau DIY's? There are approx 40 episodes.

Is there a page yet for the DIY Escape to the Chateau? I have really been enjoying those. Some people I don't like, but, most are pretty nice, and hard workers like Dick and Angela.

I don't know about anyone else, but, my daughter now and I have been watching this everyday for hours. I restarted with her from the beginning. It takes us away from all the world problems, and we are just happier. No RHW made up drama, no fighting. Dick is always positive and Angela and her family work hard, and seem to just be happy in what they are doing. House proud? It has inspired me to do a lot of housework that has gone undone since the lock downs and my housekeeper stopped coming a couple days a week. The Chateau DIY is pretty good too. I am happy that Angela and Dick have done very well with all of this.

Okay, good I came here. I have been binging it for the last few days, and feel like there is a lot cut out. You say just going to Peacock will work better? I have no problem going back and rewatching so I may see the shopping and the kitchen scenes. I am obcessed with this show right now.

I am finding Season 8 to be rather stuffy and boring. Any news on a season 9? When I am done with 8, then I am going to start over with 1.

I started watching this show a few weeks ago, it was entertaining. But, for some reason HGTV will only show 4 minutes of the final episode.

BINGO! At least on her part, but, I tend to think he is in the same Upper British Class. Neither have any real worries.

who owns Marguerita? Is it a musician?

This is real life for Roland. I can see Harrison Ford playing him in the movie, "Alone". I like everyone this season.

Would love to know how much this remodel cost the owners. That was a tremendous job, especially the underpinings of the home. I was disappointed in the nuevo riche decor, but, they did save a old lady from decay. :)

I am walking away from the drama. They are all spoiled brats, some more than others, but these over the top emotional drama queens is boring, and no longer entertaining. I don't watch any of the Real Housewives anymore. Never liked Vanderpump Rules. JMHO of course.

I enjoyed the cowboy HH's. Mr Pine took 6 years to marry me, and 36 years later, I don't regret the wait at all. I took the cowboy as hamming it up, their horse's were in great shape, as was their tack and riding abilities. I felt they are much more in tune to one another than the HH producers wanted to show. Loved the last house, it looked like Chip and Joanne did it, but I felt they could have built that on way more land for a lot less than the owners wanted. I really liked their agents too.

Me too! They paid over a million for it. I guess the cost would depend on the area, so in my area, Microsoftland, Washington, I am going to say over a million maybe more.....

Where is everyone? Are then not commenting on TOH anymore? A new season just started up.

Haven't seen the Portland, Oregon episode yet. But, the CT house was one of my all time favourites. Hated the couple, that poor guy. Loved the house. That rambly old colonial, was a nightmare. It needs to go back to a more original form.

I live near the Issaquah to Brighton family. The house they currently own and live in, is not very big or expensive to Microsoft Land standards. Older Subaru and mini van owners, not the hoity toity big spenders the show made them out to be. Nice kids, Mother a bit too helicoptery. They are big into the Green New Deal. So again, nice kids, parent's trying too hard to be more than they are. JMHO of course.

Started to watch Vancouver to Valencia, the woman was annoying with that nose ring. I don't normally notice or care about nose rings, but, this one annoyed me. Her attitude annoyed me even more, and I deleted the episode before finishing it.

Amsterdam couple were awful hard to watch. The vocal fry, and her attitude such a turnoff. House 3 was the best by far. Who cares if you don't use the backyard in the winter.

I might miss the next episode, the over the top Altman feud is too much. Hope it doesn't continue into MDLLA. The fighting fake drama made me leave all the Resl Housewives.

Goa Girl, was prancing around town barefoot, and in some fairly teeny dresses, I fear for her safety. Her new BFF was honest, and also onto Goa Girl. :) Barn Conversion....if buying yes! But having lived in an ancient to us house, sweeping mold off the plaster walls was a normal thing to do. If you owned it, you could really do it up nice and add some windows, but, as a rental....she will be miserable after one winter.

I live in the Seattle area, and I am seeing a lot of people moving to Boise, and Idaho. The houses are cheaper, lots of open space and it's a much more relaxed atmosphere. I would consider Eastern Washington, Idaho and Montana if I could get Mr Pine to move. Love those areas.

He was thinking that his career was going to be more movies. Like 90% of the actors who leave winning series do, it really didn't happen. But, he has had some success on the stage, and doing some bit parts in other series.

I am thinking Sammamish or Issaquah. Normally I can say sometimes the exact homes on the Seattle showings, this one was a bit different, and why don't they say the area. Better yet, do the pins on a map like HHI. I don't know if this is allowed, but we have 2 homes on the Eastside under 1500 sq feet for sale for 1.5 each, that is how the market is here. There is another poster, who I cannot recall their name, who knows the homes on HH locally really well too. I don't believe I have seen her post on this episode yet.

We bought our latest home ten years ago, 4 blocks from our old home in Woodinville, and it has AC. The home was built in 1989, and the AC was added in 2008. You may be surprised how many people have added AC. Half of our neighbors have added them and natural gas generators. Power outages have gotten worse.
