    Yes, I agree so much. IMO Ann Dowd outshined Moss in the first season and now Yvonne Strahovski stole the spotlight with her performance. This episode was the weakest in the season, no progress whatsoever besides the birth of Holly and the promo and the spoilers for the two final episodes doesn't give me hope.

    I feel like in this season they were closer to the race situation in the book with showing predominantly white Wives and Commanders.

    To quote Ramsay Bolton - "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention." I am not a fan of the spoilers that came out because it looks like the story is just making circles with no progress at all. If June doesn’t get out of Gilead or dies or something major doesn’t happen I’m out next season. This season feels almost like nothing happened, we only saw a little progress in Serena and that has been shut down in the last rape scene. Something literally has to happen to the story because this is getting boring. Because of that I loved the Canada episode because it was so different and something was actually going on. IMO second season has been much weaker in the writing department (probably because of the lack of the original material).

    Yeah, Eden's end will be sad. WTH, why did they give the baby to Serena?? She must pay somehow for all her sh*t, not to get a reward.

    By what is seen in the promos if Serena stays alone with Waterford without her baby and a handmaid, dark days are coming for her (and she deserves it). I really hope this June's escape doesn't end up like the last one.

    Yes, SJ and Fred are in the house where June meet Hannah. But the scene I worry about in the promo is the last one where June is in the snow kneeling and shooting a rifle in the sky. Maybe she is in labour and needs help even from Gilead and the familiar place that is mentioned in episode 12 description that she is in is Red Center or something like that. God I hope that's not the case because after the rape I need her to go to Canada ASAP

    She literally hit rock bottom. But the strange thing was she was then who started "let's rape the baby out" and when the rape started she was holding her down and crying. Maybe she realised that her loving husband was enjoying himself a little too much. And love how Aunt Lydia lowkey hates Serena.

    I find it also odd that Fred didn't found out about Serena's talk with a men (!) in a bar.

    Maybe the clue of Fred's demise is in the new commander (played by Bradley Whitford). That said I think Serena will make it to season 3, but Fred not likely so.

    I hate that this show doesn't get out like the shows on Netflix.

    Did anyone else thought that the Canadian guy (that Fred said coward) was a sleeper ( or fake) Gilead sympathizer?

    They’ll get out of it somehow. Maybe the punishment will be just taking the baby away and no more handmaid’s for them.

    I just wonder how are they going to make things "even worse for the women" in Gilead phase two and three. What the hell are they going to do next to them?

    Yes, her unnatural need to have children and to love them comes out probably out of her need to be loved. because now she is isolated from feelings and doesn't have a husband or a family (the relationship between Fred and SJ to me is not a marriage and can even less be called a family). so the baby in her mind is giving her a family as much as she is giving him as well. My main problem with Serena has always been her lack of empathy. She sees evil in Fred and Gilead when something happens to her. But she doesn't see wrong in rape and stealing a child since (still) it hasn't happen to her. And I think that if her marriage was just a little bit better she wouldn't given a second thought to the Hawaii escape, so she probably thinks that after the baby comes the idea that Gilead is bad will be gone. And her scene with Eden was a bit telling because she was acting motherly towards her and looked surprised when she heard how Eden thinks of sex, but she didn't look like she felt sorry or regretful because partially she is the reason Eden knows nothing else outside the Gilead bubble.

    Did you know that Yvonne filmed that rape scene while she was pregnant? :O That must've hit home. She said that from the Canada episode she was pregnant.

    I now really hope she never gets a baby. Nor June’s or her own or anybody else. That will be her greatest punishment.

    Yes, she stole this season. To me, in the last season SJ wasn't even in the top 5 most interesting characters, but now she is the top one. And the feedback Yvonne is receiving on her performance is really great.

    Hahahaha imagine that is June underwater after this horror and after giving away her baby. Then I would be totally done with this show.

    No way in hell that she is getting that baby. But I think that somehow the Commander and Serena will creep out of this situation. :/

    This is a bit too much for me and I watch GoT so that saying something.

    I wonder what will Aunt Lydia do when she finds about this. The Commander and Serena will pay, and I feel bad that Serena participated in this, she threw every improvement in the last episodes down the drain.

    Yeah, I think her love towards him has ended and not neceserly after the beating, but perhaps even before. The only thing that is making her stay in Gilead is "her" baby and her pride. She can't even accept that she was wrong to herself, barley to someone else. And the thing that will push her over the edge in this season is if she doesn't get the baby, then I think she'll try to run to Canada or the rest of free America; because she is more alone in Gilead then anyone else, she literally has no one except her now abusive husband (and most of that misery is completely deserved.)
