  1. Again, I want to emphasize that the romantic arc (or should I say thrust har har) of this entire finale is whether or not the main character will fuck her brother. And they're getting the dreamy dramatic angst edit too. IT'S HER BROTHER. why, why is this still a thing, they're 22 now, are we supposed to think...they've been fantasizing about each other since their teens? hoping one will come back? this will never be the epic romance the writers are hoping for. you don't just see your sibling as your sibling one day and then a love interest the next because you're lonely/horny. wtf. jude and the younger brother were cute in the hotel even if hayden still can't act his way out of a paper bag. Tbh I thought Emma/Jesus would've broken up years ago. Jesus is fucking hot. That's all I got.
  2. This show really needs to decide where it stands on incest. (A sentence I'd never thought I'd type.) The original forbidden love premise was creepy enough (especially with Callie's past trauma) and was only barely justifiable by the fact that they were impulsive teens who had just met. So they hooked up when they were 16/17 and it's been what, five years including the jump? So they've supposedly had a platonic sibling relationship for five years and suddenly it's romantic again? Gross. The writers need to catch on that characters going from platonic to romantic based on the narrative/stress/jealousy etc. is NOT the same thing as going from LEGAL SIBLING to romantic. That is (hopefully) not a social dynamic that exists, much less a teen writing trope. You don't grapple with realizing you want to bang your sibling based on the drama of the week. When Stef said, "And when Callie gets married we'll be Momzillas!" I thought, "Not if you're the only set of parents." The wardrobe department trying to age up scrawny Jude to pass as a college kid by putting him in a bulky plaid blazer and khakis makes me laugh, especially after he spent the last three seasons being "14" while visibly growing two feet. Where does he go to college, 1972?
  3. I hope they get renewed for S3 to redeem themselves from this epic sophomore slump.
  4. imo we didn't need the wellness retreat, jules' sister, or the Mexico storyline (which basically served to give Ezra a gf) so...most of this season haha
  5. I'm just glad we finally went an episode without a comedic reference to someone needing to pee. The writers room is apparently occupied by fifth graders. Sofia is pretty but also pretty dull. Liked Ezra seducing Maddie and then not taking her projecting bullshit, although I'm sure that'll last half an ep. This season has been a snoozefest, so it's good to see things finally gathering momentum even if it's at the last minute. Richard and Jules have had nothing to do all season. It's all about Ezra completing his transition to becoming the new (and I'm guessing more emotionally callous) Maddie. I think the season will end with Ezra betraying the gang and/or Maddie, humanizing her because she'll be the one to catch feelings and get hurt this time. On the plus side, they've apparently tabled the weird flirtatious sexual tension between Jules and Ezra. It was funny hearing Rob pretend to stumble over his natural accent (or a shitty Americanized version of it lol). I liked the detail of Ezra slipping back into a blatantly obvious American accent when flustered. Very good, earnest performance from him that reflected just how naive/innocent Ezra still is, in spite of all the con bravado.
  6. I finally caved and made an account after 1+ years of lurking to ask for a link to the original post. What the ever loving fuck (no pun intended)
