If they are aware of the lack of representation of other minorities then they should make an effort to cover topics about those other groups. They are doing the very thing they complain about.

To be fair, it was only really mentioned because Cho is Asian. I don’t think Asian discrimination would have been a topic if he wasn’t the guest. It rarely ever is talked about unless an Asian guest is on.

The Amazon prime wedding commercial with the redhead woman annoys me. I’ve never seen such a messy bride or bridesmaid before. Their hair and makeup is a mess.

Yep! Sunny was dismissive when Whoopi tried to expand the topic to include other oppressed minorities. She couldn’t deviate from her message.

She says she doesn’t believe in cancel culture but consequence culture. She has said this time and time again. So then, what is the consequence for Kanye’s behavior? I agree with Ana, all he needs to do is motive one crazy person to cause real harm.

As the mom of a current college freshman with another applying to school this coming year, elite schools are a crap shoot. There are thousands of valedictorians with 4.0-plus GPAs and perfect SATS and thousands of volunteer hours applying to all the same schools. There are tons of exceptional kids out there. Of course, never as exceptional as the characters on tv shows who somehow are so special for reasons we are never told, of course they get accepted!

To be fair, I don’t get the appeal of Hoda, but I know what you’re saying!

This was a waste of an episode.

Not only did she make it all about her, her comment came across as very privileged and out of touch. Seriously they have “problems” some people wish they had.

As I’ve said before, this show is not interested in discussing any race outside of those on the panel. On very rare occasion they will throw in a mention of Asians and Native Americans, but it will never be a central, continuing topic. Even the holocaust/race debacle was put to rest after one episode. Doubt we will hear more about that. It’s especially sad since they are in NYC where there is a large concentration of all races but they choose to overlook so many.

What…what!?

Joy frequently refers to pop culture moments that I think should be put to rest already. Between Monica Lewinsky to commercial taglines from the 70s and 80s, i think the younger audience can be confused and find it unrelatable. I don’t expect her to know all the real housewives (I sure don’t!) but I think she’s got to retire some of her jokes.

I think she’s actually a snowplow parent: Snowplow parenting, also called lawnmower parenting or bulldozer parenting, is a parenting style that seeks to remove all obstacles from a child's path so they don't experience pain, failure, or discomfort.

Whenever I sense Whoopi is going to go off on a tangent to “educate” the rest of us I completely tune out. I don’t think she’s enlightened me in any way during her years on the show other than the fact that she lacks humility.
