Since A&E are writing 6x05, and x05 is generally the SQ-baiting ep, my speculation is that ep will have Emma teaching Regina how to use light magic -- and she's so talented at it, she's a diamond in the rough! This will parallel Aladdin somehow.

Why in the world did they pick Only You to do commentary on -- and just the writers? I am offended they're spending 8 minutes on a Merida feature.

Funny you mention Elsa, because Georgina Haig was just spotted arriving in Vancouver. If Disney didn't have such a tight rein on Elsa, I'd say now's their chance to have Elsa screw Emma over somehow to show how good a friend Regina is!

Well, yes, but we keep talking about Regina killing Graham. That is unacceptable! We need more incentive to stop that, clearly. Thus breaking the "curse" of the split, sending the EQ back into Regina! TLKs break any curse! (Who cares if it was a potion & not a curse? Hook's enchanted hook went from a spell to a potion.)

The EQ loving Henry makes ZERO logical sense given that she is supposed to be completely evil & conscience-less. They're trying to have it both ways, of course. I kept trying to come up with interesting theories about Hook's secret and why it would really affect Charming, but then I remembered and accepted: No, self, save your imagination, it’s This Show, These Writers. They do tend to oversell things ::cough::Ursula::cough:: but they also like to throw bad things into flashbacks as a way to “level the playing field” and make Regina and her crimes not seem so bad or unusual ::cough::Snowing eggnapping::cough::. So, yeah, I do agree that the secret will be that Hook killed Charming’s father or played a big role in his death. If PapaCharming confessed to him in a tavern that he had sold his son, that would push Hook’s trigger bigtime. Bye-bye, PapaCharming. Contrived as hell, of course, but TS, TW. A&E would consider that tit-for-tat for Regina’s role in Snow’s father’s death and her killing Graham, so we can we please stop judging her for that and wanting justice?

We didn't hear anything about them filming the Lady Washington at sea. However, I find it unrealistic they'd pay the money to bring the ship all the way up there just for one scene of Hook & Belle on deck -- like you said, they could've used the barge instead for much cheaper. Now, I tracked the Lady Washington over that night, and it did some funky movements around the docks over several hours on either side of midnight. I have no idea if that is something they do with a ship regularly or it indicates movement for filming purposes. It didn't go out to sea that I saw on its tracker. But, that evening also happened to be the night after a full moon -- and if you had a tall ship, wouldn't it be a nice shot to film it against a full moon? If they didn't, they wasted a prime opportunity. There are rumors she will be back in Steveston on Aug. 8 for filming. She's not scheduled for tours at her home port that day...

I don't know if Channing Dungey is a fan or just working to promote one of her network's shows. However, she was one of the execs who helped develop the show & was the one who told A&E it was a bad idea to kill off Charming in the pilot, which they'd originally planned.

From what A&E have said, he fit into their long-term plans but because Colin was unknown and they wanted to make sure the chemistry was right with Jen, they hedged their bets by not making him a regular until they knew he would work out. Clearly they liked what they saw from him after the first few eps of filming so they pulled the trigger on making him a regular quickly. They literally announced his regular status a few hours after they announced his initial casting. And they upped him to regular midseason, which isn't usually done -- it's usually put into effect for the next full season. Teen Choice is completely rigged, but I can't help but be happy that Colin & Jen won for Liplock. I'm guessing the change in ABC presidency may have something to do with ABC laying out the money for the awards this year.

ITA. The outfits should have more fun, less starch to them. They don't look comfortable to me.

::smacks head:: With it being the summer Olympics, I totally forgot about the flipped seasons south of the Equator!

I figure we need a place to critique what the athletes are wearing, from the opening ceremony to the closing ceremony and all the events in between. (What's the swimsuit innovation this year??) I am not a fan of the U.S. opening ceremony outfits. Nothing says "I'm marching in the heat of a Brazil summer" like a navy wool blazer. And could the Ralph Lauren logo BE any bigger? It's much more prominent than the U.S. flag on the patch on the other side. I find it obnoxious. People have also complained the shirt looks like the Russian flag. Also, if anybody can think of a better title, speak up!

One problem with Emma being put under a sleeping curse is that there are multiple people who could wake her, so it wouldn't accomplish much for the EQ as-is. So they would need to put some extra obstacle in there -- she's separated from Hook & Henry, there's an extra condition added to the curse, something.
