Wow. Matt Mitovich basically said he's going to stop covering Once because he doesn't care anymore. He's been a big supporter of the show over the years, and that's a big site that has covered the show a lot in the past. ETA: Just remembered, we know that A&E have blackballed a reporter before for being critical. They may have been angry about Matt's article comparing the romantic B&tB trailer with the horrid state of RB. We know he talked to them about RB. Words may have been exchanged.

The ratings for the season 6 premiere were on par with the season 5 finale, so the same amount of people actually did return to the show. However, they started tuning out as season 6 progressed.

Given how much angst and upset there is in the country right now, Once SHOULD be the type of comfort TV that would draw families to watch. I mean, it's a "family" show about fairy tales and "hope," right? Except that it's NOT anymore, and people have figured it out. It's grim and depressing and upsetting. They're showing stuff that people don't want to see (for example, EQ/Rumple) and sidelining characters and relationships that people actually want to see. If ABC can't figure out what is driving people away, no wonder why they're No. 4 in the ratings. The next episode will be after a week off AND on Thanksgiving weekend AND with a truly ugly preview. Pretty much a given it will set a new series low. Good luck with that, Channing. I'd love to hear any other scuttlebutt you can share. Any direct mentions of Once? I think it's clear there are going to be some big changes coming for ABC. Their ratings are embarrassing, especially Sundays. No way there isn't gonna be shaken up big-time. I'm not confident in a S7. If there is one, I foresee it being shortened and/or in a different time slot.

As usual, Hook's the only one concerned about Emma.

I would caution against assuming what people are saying in a private survey, but it's a good idea to answer if you are eligible. I think it shows that ABC is concerned about the show but also invested in it -- if they didn't care, they wouldn't bother.

I didn't watch the last ep. I certainly won't watch A&E's latest Emma/Regina isolation adventure this Sunday. I think I may be done with the show.

ABC has a theme-park show in development (not sure when it will make it to air, if ever), but that sounds like something that would be prime for Sunday night. I think Once will be moved next season.

I'm pretty sure there will be no TLKing for CS in the foreseeable future, if ever. That would be too concrete and they can't have that when they're trying to also string along fans who root for another ship. Looks like we're also back to Hook killed David's father, since "Murder Most Foul" is the promised CaptainCharming ep.

It is. There are basically two competing Paris cons a week or so apart. This one with Lana, Emilie, Bex, Robert and Beverly. And the Xivents one with JMo, Colin, Jamie Chung, Rose McIver and Elliott Knight.

The wedding question came off like baiting, the RB answer is cringe-y, and the answer about happiness is table-flippy. Hey, guess what, it's not like everyday because people generally HAVE SOMETHING HAPPY HAPPEN SOMETIMES in real life. It's not all angst and death unless you're living in someplace like Syria at the moment. They also didn't actually ANSWER the question about Emma & Hook talking about her death.
