Judging by the fact that one of the writer tweeted that they laughed a lot (and cried a little) while watching the ep, I'm going to go with Annoying for $500, Alex. They seem to be playing it for laughs, which, UGH.

CaptainCronut: They r shooting a scene with lana and jared now. Lana hugs him and he gets into a school bus. They are shooting a really cute Captain Swan kiss right now!!! Pics. It looks in the last pic like Colin is playing peek-a-boo with the cameraman around the corner, LOL.

Spoiler speculation from CaptainCronut: I have an idea but it’s just a thought and I no idea if it’s actually true. But I think it’s Malificent in dragon form bursting out of the library. We already know that she’s gonna be in this part of the season so. And people are sort of running away from the library.

Captain Cronut: Scene update: Basically there’s a lot of running going on. Lots of extra’s. And it looks like Emma and Regina are doing magic.

I'm guessing the actresses are huddling because they're cold, if the layers of clothing on the crew is any indication.

From the Magic thread: Oh, UGH, I can see this now. Hook gets killed but Regina heals him. Thereby restoring Emma's love to her when Emma "took" hers away by bringing back Marian, and proving how superior Regina is to Emma in every way. That goes along with I'll be over in the corner banging my head against a wall to clear it of such thoughts.

I like to think DQ lied to Rumple about the hat, or the Apprentice is playing them both. Perhaps when Rumple completes the spell (if he does), it ends up returning him to his pre-Dark One self, without his powers. That would serve him right, though I can't see the show allowing him to be without his powers for long. I don't especially want Killian to end up with the powers himself, but it would almost be worth it just for the epic LOL at Rumple.

Yeah, 4x05 officially severed my emotional attachment to the show. I couldn't get worked up about anything in this ep, even the awful Hook angst. I’m just glad they didn’t make it be Regina who talked Emma off the ledge. I was worried about that for awhile, because of the writers’ obsession with having Regina save the day all the damn time. So I’m fine with it being Elsa. She had been in exactly the same position, so she had the wisdom of experience. We’d just damn well better get a wonderful Captain Swan scene with Emma saving Killian and restoring his heart by the mid-season break. I do think his heart will get crushed or frozen first, though, so he can be freed from his debt to Rumple. So Arendelle is apparently in a frozen stasis, so Sven didn’t have to take over and rule with an iron hoof in the absence of the royal family. So nobody will be dead when the trio return. Good. Snow Queen be crazy. Also, Rumple can please die in a fire. Or he can get sucked into the hat and have his powers stripped from him. And then die in a fire. I fast-forwarded through all the Robin scenes and 90% of the Regina scenes. I just can't with them. So icky and gross. At least Charming remembers that Regina killed a whole lot of people. It's good that ONE member of that family isn't a Regina cheerleader. It's deplorable what the writers have done to the character of Snow. It's clear they don't give a rat's ass about her, except for when they can use her to prop up or cheerlead Regina. "My daughter's missing and just had a car accident? Whatevs, let's dish about your vault sex! Oh, and I was a bratty monster and totally deserved you ruining my life and stealing my kingdom!"

In the Frozen marketing juggernaut "Really?" files: Today at the grocery store I saw blue "Frozen heart" ready-to-bake Pillsbury cookies. Because nothing says fun for the holidays like ... evoking a character about to die?

Here's a set video of the Elsa/Anna reunion. (Scroll down the page.) It looks to me like Elsa & Emma somehow use Anna's snowflake necklace to call Anna & Kristoff forth. JMo seems to be holding a necklace in a lot of the scene.

The theory running around Tumblr is that she handcuffs him to something to keep him from stopping her/because she can't risk hurting him -- in a parallel to Tallahassee and New York Serenade. She hasn't handcuffed him to anything so far this season, so that quota needs to be filled.

G is for Good Form, which he exemplified in the Navy and he still believes in.

D is for the Dreamshade that killed his brother and that he saved David from dying of.

B is for his Baby Blues.

It's just all a part of the entire Snow White lineage being presented as awful, horrible, evil villains, while Regina and Cora are the biggest victims ever and really the heroes of the piece.

I took the "they" in Josh's quote to refer to Emma and Gold thinking that, not the Charmings. If it does refer to the Charmings, it was badly written, because Emma and Gold were the only people introduced in the story previously. And, yes, it's complete and utter BS to think that Emma would see herself as a villain. Jesus wept, this show and its morality!
