Where are you? I would say talk to neighbors or friends nearby who have gardens, because they'll know what works best in your climate. For instance, I desperately want to grow delphiniums, because I adore them, but it's just too hot for them here. Plants native to your area are always the easiest to grow. If you like blueberries, they're great and really easy to grow once you get them established. I haven't done anything to mine in years -- no fertilizer or anything, and they produce great. I gets pints and pints and pints out of two bushes. You'll need to plant two different kinds for the best yield, so they can cross-pollinate. Best to get kinds that ripen at the same time of the summer. You do need to put netting over them once they start to ripen, or the birds will get most of them!

I don't think the organizers could or would say if it was because it was a stipulation of one of the actress's contracts -- they wouldn't want to throw anybody under the bus and burn bridges for future cons. Could they have blamed scheduling instead? Sure, but maybe they didn't want to out-and-out lie. I'm pretty sure it was indeed for that contract reason -- and my guess is it was Lana's, because: 1) She doesn't seem like she wants to share the spotlight with JMo, and 2) If it was JMo who was determined not to have a SQ photo op, she wouldn't then turn around and change her other photo ops because of the badgering. Of course, I doubt we'll ever know the real reason. But I certainly don't think it was the organizer's fault. And nobody was promised any particular pairing when they initially bought tickets, so if they assumed they'd get something and didn't, that's on them for assuming. Now, people who bought tix after the JMo/Colin duo was announced but before JMo canceled it, they have a legit beef. As for the initial JMo/Victoria duo -- well, Emma did kill Cruella.

Glad you like the poll. I sadly think they'll give it to Regina to protect in her vault, because she has magic and is so trust-worthy now and would never control somebody with their dagger or, say, their heart in order to blackmail their husband. And, of course, to make the SQ fans happy so they can write smutty fanfic about Regina using the dagger to make Emma do things.

I actually thought he looked a bit … beefier than usual. Not that he's remotely beefy. He's a slender guy. As for the clenched fist, probably a combination of discomfort and the habit of clenching his fist for the hook. He did say he kept catching himself holding his hand like he was clenching the hook in the eps where he had both hands, by force of habit.

I know! I adore Miss Mardle and think she's all kinds of awesome. She's my fave character on the show. Mr. Grove, really, really, really doesn't deserve her. Why did Florian have to die? At least she had a nice, young hottie who loved her for awhile. I think next season is going to be a downer for sure. For those who know the history, did Gordon end up ever running the store after Harry was ruined?

Well, that particular scenario wouldn't happen because Natalie Abrams of EW loathes Hook. But if it were TV Guide or some other outlet? You bet SQ would pitch a fit.

Because the show's writers and actors have actually given them strength. And that is where the problem lies. If TPTB didn't coddle and cater to them and try to placate them, it would be easy to ignore them. Just block, block, block. Instead, their hate and bullying actually changes things for the rest of the fandom. Yesterday was a perfect example. CS fans got something good taken away from them because of their badgering JMo and the event organizers. So they actually do have power, because TPTB gave it to them.

No, see, I think JMo & Lana will make sure to stand next to each other. This fandom, I swear to God.

Everybody with this show is so afraid of upsetting fans of a crack ship, they won't even promote their canon couples anymore.

Welp, bullying paid off for them again. JMo just tweeted that she's pulling out of the duo shot w/ Colin & the other duo shots, and will only do a solo and the group shot. So if SQ can't have their duo shot, they've accomplished that CS fans can't have one, either. I cannot stand how everybody on this show makes concessions for the SQ bullies over and over and over again.

I hope JMo's Internet connection isn't very good in Bulgaria so she doesn't see all the hate & demands. I'm just afraid the bullying squeaky wheels will get their photo op after haranguing everybody into appeasing them. I cannot STAND when bullies are coddled and placated -- it signals that bullying works, and that's exactly the message nobody should be sending.

I've been firmly reminded why I seldom make elaborate yeast breads. This chocolate ring is taking FOREVER. I started it about 4:30 and it hasn't even made it into the oven yet -- it's currently rising for the second time, after being shaped. This thing better be damn good.

Wow! I have little green tomatoes, but way too early for ripe ones. My blueberries are starting to ripen, though, a bit earlier than usual.

Anybody doing anything fun for the Memorial Day three-day weekend? I'm being a homebody. I generally prefer not to travel on holidays, in order to avoid the crowds. I might gather enough energy to agitate doing something with my friends tomorrow evening. I'm going to make a decadent chocolate-filled yeast bread wreath in a little bit -- I never have time for something like that.

SQers are sending tons of hate to the Xivents Twitter, calling them homophobic as usual. The Xivents person is very upset BECAUSE THEY ARE GAY.

My sleeping subconscious did it again. Given that Rumple's heart is white, I think Emma got all his darkness on top of the Dark One. Rumple's darkness loathes and wants to kill Hook. My guess is that the secret scene they filmed to be shown at Comic Con is Hook summoning Emma with the dagger and trying a TLK on her. But it doesn't work because she hates him now and tries to kill him. She pulls back at the last second because there's just enough of Emma in there not to, but there's your way of keeping a TLK from breaking the curse. As for Henry, maybe now that he's the Author, he can't affect the story anymore -- so he can't TLK Emma. I'll show myself out.

What evil thing can Snowing have done in flashback now? Maybe they also sent children into the witch's house to be eaten….

Lana is being problematic again. Not only did she retweet this pro SQ article saying that Regina will/should be the real hero of Season 5, she retweeted it from one of the most notorious and rude BA SQers on Twitter. I guess we know what her next demand of the producers will be. Given that they always seem to cave to her demands, expect to see Regina front and center in saving Emma next season. Hook and Snowing who?
