Let's be honest, the show's track record with relationships is rather squicky. There were off-putting adultery overtones with David/Mary Margaret and Regina/Robin, even though in both cases it wasn't technically adultery, they just thought it was at the time. There's the domestic abusiveness of the Rumbelle relationship. Emma was underage when Neal got her pregnant. Regina/Graham was rape, even though they won't admit it. Robin/Zarian, ditto. I dread whatever squickiness is coming with Hook and Emma, since it seems sadly inevitable that it'll happen on this show. The Dark Swan arc sets up the possibility of all kinds of consent issues.

That's what I mean. I loved Snowing and rooted for them but it wasn't angsty for me in S1 because it was flashbacks and we saw their marriage in the first ep. But if it hadn't been flashbacks and we'd been going through their romance as it happened -- whoo boy, the angst and separation! I know whose True Love statuses I think should be revoked....

I was pondering the angst that's sure to come for CS this season. Can you imagine how angsty shipping Snowing would've been in real time vs. in flashbacks? Snow told Charming she didn't love him and broke up with him to save his life, she took a potion to forget him, after she remembered him and they kissed, he was immediately abducted and stuck in jail, then she was under a sleeping curse, George made her infertile.... Sheesh.

Somehow Hook is "rape culture" to them but actual canon rapist Regina is not. Go figure.

There are some SQers going apeshit in Adam's mentions about the positive things said about CS in the various commentaries. One of the nuttiest of the nutters accused Adam of giving in to "terrorists" -- I assume he means CS fans. I haven't checked Lana's mentions to see if she's getting the same sort of feedback. But if you want to see some concentrated crazy, head to Adam's mentions.

I noticed that EXACT same thing, HoodlumSheep! So not safe. I saw another pic where Jen was standing right behind the horse. My mom was kicked by a horse, so I've heard about how dangerous that is.

It's perhaps significant that the rose is intact with young G/A, but when she's grown up and with Lancelot, the petals that are tossed have been plucked. The rose is no longer whole. I suspect something is going to happen to that rose Emma is carrying. (Mentally revisiting college lit paper on the use of nature imagery in Jane Eyre....) Definitely the happy time for CS before it all goes to hell!

Young Guinevere is also carrying a pink rose in this pic with young Arthur. They're clearly doing some sort of mirror/parallel/link between them, with the pink rose tying it together. There was also the pink rose petals in the scene with Guinevere & Lancelot dancing. Obviously, Guinevere betrays Arthur in the legend with Lancelot. That would tie in with Selina K's theory about the Swan Princess/Swan Lake parallels of the prince/Hook betraying the White Swan.

It may be a more "tell" than "show" thing, if the Dark One Rumple in Emma's mind gives her the initiation history speech.

You are correct, madam! His mentions are now filled with OQers & SQers saying they never get anything and he ignores them, where are their deleted scenes and an SQ hug, etc., etc.

Adam was clear it's not considered canon, so they're free to go a different route if they ever actually delve into it in future. All head canons are still viable!

I'm a bit skeptical since it's Michaela's fiancé from How to Get Away With Murder. My transition of seeing him as Merlin instead of him will take a bit of effort! Of course, I still have knee-jerk "King Arthur is a terrorist!" reactions. Translucent Swan. Guess we know why Emilie couldn't make the convention that weekend! That implies she will be filming. That should be the end of 5x04.

Fans tweeted Adam about it, and he actually supplied the script of what was cut! Though he cautioned it's not canon & may be revisited.

I saw an interesting theory on Twitter that Snow could pay a heavy price to save Emma. Maybe die or "die" or just get hurt. The mother/daughter angle would fit with Brave. They've certainly been needing to work on the Snow/Emma relationship, and Ginny did do the voiceover about not losing her daughter in the teaser. And Snow was the one who effed up most with that stupid darkness transferrence in the first place. I could see Snow maybe stepping in front of Emma trying to hurt someone to keep her heart from darkening, just like Charming did for her when she tried to shoot Regina with the arrow & he took the arrow instead. Emma could be so horrified she hurt her mother that Light Swan rises up and destroys the Dark One. It could be tears of joy that the writer had. (Who am I?)

I think you're onto something, Selina K, but I hope to God it doesn't go as far as another rapey situation. Because enough already! FFS. If they're doing this, I hope that 1) Hook is hoodwinked and 2) they make it clear to the audience that Hook is hoodwinked. But we know it will make Twitter explode, "things are not what they seem" and "love is a dangerous weapon." Can you imagine the wailing and renting of garments among CS fans if they make it look like Hook has actually betrayed Emma? And how gloaty SQers will be? Those would not be good times.
