  1. Dear God, let there be a twist. I get the feeling the next episode is going to be a total backslide. And while the Murder House re-visit was fun, it did nothing to further the plot. What?? Michael is evil?? You don't say. The story needs a shot in the arm, fast. The Coven stuff has reached peaked extra. Papa Legba? Christ, come on. Move it along. Stop going backwards and stop introducing/bringing back characters just for fan service.
  2. The Emmy nominations for Versace were included in this past year's awards ceremony. Literally every cast member was nominated - even Ricky Martin - except Fern. I do expect him to get at least one or two Golden Globe nominations this year, though. Held be eligible fir three. - AHS, ACS, and House of Cards.
  3. the fourth child was actually a gay albino son. There are deleted scenes out there that show him with Tate. They cut the character because - wait for it- they thought he was too disturbing.
  4. But...Tate raped Vivienne to give Nora Montgomery a baby. So we're just gonna forget that so Tate and Violet can have a happy ending? Good episode but not what I had hoped.
  5. I think Blanche is referring to the episode where the witches appear for the first time and they bring Mallory, Coco and Dinah back to life. Madison was there with Cordelia and Myrtle. She did the whole "Bet you thought blah blah bitch" thing to Mallory. Zoe appeared with Cordelia and Myrtle in the flashback when they went to the boys school to meet with the warlocks. In the flashback, Madison and Queenie are dead until Michael gets them. As I've already said, I think Cordelia, Madison and Myrtle are dead in the current bunker scenes. They managed to move through the fog filled with radiation and forest full of puss monsters with nary a scratch. What i'm really interested to see is who the hell Dinah is. She's far too old to be a student at Miss Ribicheaux's. I'm starting to wonder if Dinah is actually Chablis or BD Wong. That would explain how Michael and Dinah know each other. My gut says Dinah and her son are the warlocks in different bodies. As for the other witches, I think Michael figures out what Cordelia is doing and gets rid of Queenie, Madison and Misty. I'm still wondering how Mallory and Madison know each other since Madison was dead when Mallory was in Miss Robicheaux's.
  6. The amount of work he puts into creating his characters is why I like him so much. He did the same thing with David Madson for Versace. He makes choices and adds mannerisms to build a more fleshed out character. Given the years he's had Versace, AHS, House of Cards in November - I wouldn't be surprised if he gets multiple Golden Globe nominations. The Hollywood Foreign Press LOVES newbies, and the fact he's Australian won't hurt. Given everything Fern said, I could totally see the Apocalypse being caused not by him but by one of the Warlocks, and he's now trying to create a new world free of evil.
  7. Michael: I guess you haven't noticed the state of the world Myrtle: Unlike that dinner jacket, at least the world can be saved. And of course... I'm the FUCKING Supreme.
  8. Cody Fern gives some fascinating and in depth interviews about Langdon's Arc and who he really is. He says there have been clues in the past few episodes about his true mission, one of which was the comment about thinking he killed them all and asking for help. https://variety.com/2018/tv/features/cody-fern-american-horror-story-apocalypse-interview-1202976609/ https://www.gamespot.com/articles/american-horror-story-apocalypse-is-michael-langdo/1100-6462474/

  10. The twist was the return to Murder House. Murphy first mentioned the twist before filming had even started then posted so much on Instagram and announced returns of fan-favorites that everybody figured it out. I love that he posts BTS stuff on Instagram, but he gives a lot of stuff away.
  11. Next week's episode is slated to be 90 minutes, so YAY!!!! I was a little pissed they were only going to devote one commercial-packed episode to MH so, I'm happy. I think they made the Seven Wonders montage old time black and white because we'd already seen Michael perform them the week before and we knew he was going to pass because, Antichrist. There was no suspense. And so they could fit in performance by Stevie Knicks. Murphy must be a fan. That's something I strongly dislike about RM: many of his shows include appearances by people HE loves but that others are kind of meh about. It feels like he's constantly writing things into scripts to accommodate his friends. My husband said, "So what was the big twist? Stevie Nicks sings? Because we already knew Murder House was coming." Pretty much. Yeah, this really disappointed me. Murphy way over-hyped the twist. Can you imagine the reaction if they kept the Back to MH plotline a secret? How phenomenal would that have been for viewers? The official trailer for the season only includes scenes through episode 5. I'd always thought they shot the whole season before it aired. This season seems a little...messy? Like they're constantly re-shooting stuff last minute? The previews constantly contain scenes that weren't used in the final edit. There's definitely been a few scenes where Fern's Austrailian accident slips through so unmistakeably they probably had to re-shoot it. As an aside, I'm realizing that there are casual fans, devoted fans, and flat out stans of this show. The stans are the ones calling Cody Fern Daddy and asking him to rearrange their insides. Seriously. Read the comments on his Instagram. They're jaw-dropping.
  12. What we saw last night was before the apocalypse. Did anybody else see that, when Mallory brought the deer back to life, it turned back into a fawn? So I guess she can not only bring something back to life but reverse it's age. Gosh. I wonder if that power will make another appearance.
  13. much like American Crime Story, where the crime is supposed to be a figurative crime committed by society, the horror of Murder House was infidelity and what it does to families and how kids become collateral damage. Tate, Addie, Violet, Beau, Hayden's baby, Vivien's baby, Denis Ohare's two kids that died in the fire, etc. Ben cheated, Moira and Hayden were mistresses, Constance cheated, Denis Ohare's character cheated, etc. Asylum, two, had a theme of how mental illness is treated in this country. The show has gotten away from threading a cohesive theme through the season.
  14. I mean, yeah, Evil should never win, blah blah BUT....I want Michael to win. There. I said it. He has been the most rewarding character this season. He's the one who has entertained us. His back story and the actor playing him are a thousand times more compelling than the Coven. Other than Myrtle, I don't care about any of them, not even Cordelia and her lip bite. And Mallory...fuuuuck am I dreading her growing participation in this story. Theories are swirling that she's the other baby - and I STILL think the other baby plays a role in this season - and that Mallory is an angel. Christ. How predictable. God please please please let there be a major twist in this story, because if there isn't, the next five episodes are going to be torture. One episode at Murder House with a bajillion commercials packed into the episode? Boo, show. Boo. I get that they want us to upgrade to FX Plus, but the amount of commercials they air is ridiculous.
  15. OK, but....what's the twist? The big twist?? We knew they were going back to Murder House. While I'm enjoying the whole Anti-Christ cross over shenanigans, this season has been predicted from start to finish before the season began. and the Stevie Nicks cameo/twirl along??? WAAT??? And why are they giving the most significant parts to the weakest actors????? Madison goes back to Murder House??? Fuck, having these actors play multiple characters really screwed the audience over. We're stuck with characters from the worst acted season of the series.
  16. I think it's a long con and Bates's Devil Mama was in on it from the start. Michael was smiling pretty wide in that car with Ariel as Bates chanted, "Hail the New World!" He needed to wipe out the witches entirely to carry out his plan. I think his goal all along was to infiltrate the warlocks, take over, and strip Cordelia of the title of Supreme. Anyone notice how Michael walks in to the boys school when he first arrives? How he holds his arms, like he's inspecting the place? It's a cocky posture for a boy who is unsure of who he is and scared of his powers.
  17. Did anybody catch when Cheyenne Jackson said, "He's not The Provocateur"? DId they ever address who/what The Provocateur was?
  18. As far as Michael's powers go, I think he's pulling a Tate. Just like how Ben called Tate on the fake tears and phony remorse in the finale of MH, I think Michael's well aware of his powers and how dark they run. He's playing vulnerable to get the warlocks to take him in so he can destroy not just the witches, but the warlocks as well. The tape of Michael killing the cop interrogating him and being sent to the warlocka was likely planned by Michael himself, with a little help from Ms. Meade. As far as Cordelia being alive or dead, I'm voting dead. Michael was sure he killed all the witches. I would think Cordelia would be at the top of that list. Her still being alive wouldn't go unnoticed. Plus she says the fate of the world depends on what she does next. Welp, that's a flashback from before the bomb and the world was destroyed so... Unless they're intentionally misleading the audience with red herrings, it appears we can expect a showdown between Michael and Mallory. This does not please me.
  19. The issue with Michael's age was addressed in season one. He was growing at a rapid rate, which is why Vivien went into labor so early. He ages faster because he's the anti-christ. In the interview with Cody Fern, Fern said Michael is both 6yrs old and 15yrs old emotionally because of the rapid aging.
  20. Not to mention his use of rape as a plot device in almost every season.
  21. Ariel said people could see inside the house, which was one of the reasons they went underground. That and they were being hunted. Here's something that has me confused. When doing his incantation, Michael said that he thought he'd killed them all, but one survived. Yet, when he met with Dinah, he knew who she was and Dinah was brought back to life by Cordelia, making her a witch. So, wouldn't that mean 2 survived? Does this mean Mallory is something else in addition to a witch?
  22. If it featured BD Wong, Jackson, Porter and Briones, I would be down for a series about The Hawthorne School for Boys. I just read an interview with Cody Fern. He said that Michael in last night's episode was supposed to be 15 which mean he's 18 in the present day Outpost scenes. Fern is 31. He could play all three ages convincingly.
  23. Ugh, I'm sensing the same thing re: Mallory. Of course Murphy would have to take the weakest actor of the season and make her the key to the whole story. There's obviously something special about her, and we're no doubt going to see a squaring off of good and evil/men and women. Like, we get it. Murphy is an ally. An ally that also gives work to an abuser. He can miss me with his support. The only thing that will save the season for me is if Mallory turns out to be evil somehow and Cordelia and the Witches are defeated. Sorry not sorry, but I hated how smug they were at that council meeting. I think we (meaning women) were supposed to be all "Yaaaassss girl!" during that scene but I thought it made the witches seem insecure and intimidated more than anything else.
  24. You had to love that the scene btwn Cordelia et al and the Warlocks ended with her telling the men "time's up." We see you, Ryan Murphy. Jon Jon Briones brought this episode to another level, just like he did in ACS Versace. The acting this episode was so good you forgot you were watching a show about cyborgs, witches, and warlocks. That's what I've missed about this series. No matter how tedious the story, a brilliant cast can spin straw into gold. So, did Constance die or what? How did Michael get to be in her charge?
  25. Best episode of the season and finally an actual story line. Unfortunately it looks like it's going to be exactly what everyone knew it would be before the season started: Cordelia will go back in time to stop Michael. That twist in the next episode better be specfuckingtacular or else the rest if this season is going to be just like Roanoke. Also, Cheyenne Jackson wearing eyeliner can get it.
