  1. I'm truly hoping this whole season turns out to be a dream. I would actually rather that than the time travel only because it would be a twist we legit didn't see coming. Regardless of how they tie it up, Michael is as good as dead. They're killing him off. ETA: Anyone else think Maloory's powers are weakening/being drained?
  2. Even the way they wrote out Chablis and John Henry was lazy. Like, you're going to go to the trouble to bring John Henry back pretty much for nothing and you're going to send Chablis to Murder House, but you can't even properly kill them off after making them so integral to the story? They wasted a whole fucking episode making a buddy comedy-style episode the week before, so it's not like they didn't have time to spare.
  3. Can we at least assume that the person that drew the 666 in the mirror in episode one was associated with the Hawthirne School? Maybe a student or one if the warlocks? I didn't catch that. This show has done such a poor job of making certain plot points clear, like that Michael is still emotionally a child. I mean, half the viewing audience still wonders how all of this stuff is going on after The Apocalypse, not realizing that we've been watching flashbacks.
  4. I don't think so. She knew he had an appointment but i don't think they ever met face to face. She only knows of his existence.
  5. Can we also discuss Cordelia's plan to protect her girls but yet lets Misty leave to flit around with Stevie Nicks knowing Michael is out there looking to kill all the witches? I guess Lily Rabe wasn't available for more than one episode? The fact that Coco is always conveniently spared/saved lends credence to the theory that she, not Mallory, is the true Supreme. She got led out of the poison apple party by Brock, Mallory was able to save her from a death by snowball, now she's in the cabin while Zoe and Queenie were left to die, unprotected.
  6. Oh, yeah. Annndddd..the whole reason Michael creates the Apocalypse is to kill 5 witches. Because, apparently, there was no other way for him to do that. If only he had been born with supernatural powers....
  7. That was marginally better than last week, but I'm way over Cordelia's whining about her waning powers and Fiona. I'm also still super pissed they're giving the most integral role in beating Michael to Mallory, the most underdeveloped character/weakest actress. Just blow this thing up already. Oh, and so it's pretty obvious that Coco's dad is part of The Cooperative, right? There's no way Michael didn't lure Cordelia to The Outpost using Coco and Mallory as bait.
  8. They need to retire Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters and refresh the cast. That's a big reason why this series has gotten so stale. The story this season quickly turned into a dumpster fire, but Billy Porter, Joan Collins, Bd Wong, Jon Jon Briones and Cody Fern made it watchable. I'm going to predict that Michael lured Cordelia to The Outpost to kill her because he didn't get her the first time around and he wanted to be sure she was dead.
  9. I think this is referencing the recent quote from Jessica that Paisley calls her Mom. I read that in People or some rag and immediately felt bad for Paisley's real Mom. That's so inappropriate. That poor kid gets trotted out for publicity photos then sent back home when they're done with her until the next stunt. Thank God people are finally getting sick of them and calling Jess out for all the scammy product posts and free stuff she begs for on Instagram.
  10. I want to see the evolution from Michael - unsure of himself, emo - to Langdon - cocky and arrogant. I just don't believe this whiny kid could oversee such a gigantic undertaking like the apocalypse.
  11. She knows she's a robot. After she shoots venable she says, "I'm having a hard time with this. I know I'm just a machine..." Then Michael jumps in and tells her he had the Cooperative's R & D department construct her in Meade's image, but he had to hide her true self from her. She's definitely going to have a meltdown of some kind, as we've seen her show remorse multiple times now; both in human and robotic form. What I'm having a hard time with is the fact what Mallory, Coco and Dinah all ended up at The Outpost together. So, someone obviously put them there for a reason, yes? Could Coco's father be part of The Cooperative?
  12. Oooh. Fun thread. Let's see: I think Michael incinerates Zoe, Misty and Queenie so they can never be brought back. Why else would they introduce that power if not to have it play a big part in the story? I'm pretty confident Cordelia, Myrtle & Madison die and return to the bunker on Halloween night to resurrect Coco, Mallory and Dinah. Given what we know about Coco - that her powers are useless - the fact that she was important enough to hide with an identity spell and bring back tells me she, not Mallory, is the true Supreme. This sensing danger thing makes no sense when you remember that Coco was the one who thought the text alerting them to the bomb was a joke and didn't want to leave the salon. Mallory is the one that senses danger and is likely an angel of some kind and Dinah is the Voodoo Queen. Together those are three powerful witches. Michael so obviously dies. I think they turn back time a few years, he's back at Murder House, and he dies somehow before he figures out who he is.
  13. I don't think Murphy met Cody Fern and decided they were going to revisit the Antichrist storyline. I think that was a possibility from the end if season one. I was perfectly content with the season one explanation that the Antichrist baby was growing at an alarming rate, hence why - 7 yrs later - he's a man instead of a 10yr old boy. The overnight growth spurt thing was stupid, as it completely ignored the fact that Constance always knew Michael was The Antichrist. She shouldn't have been shocked by any of it. All this time focusing on backstory just to insert fan favorites into an episode has only served to muddy the waters.
  14. I was surprised to learn that Fern knew he'd been cast in this season since October of 2017. He just didn't know who he was playing. As has been said here before, Murphy does like his ingenue projects, so I could see him discovering Fern and developing projects specifically with him in mind. I'm really hoping the Mallory build-up has been a misdirect of sorts and that it doesn't come down to a battle royale between she and Michael. They've done so little character development on Mallory that she has to be a red herring, or at least play a much smaller role in the finale than we've been led to believe. I could see her healing Michael and reversing his age and they go back to Murder House, where Michael dies. And...scene.
  15. I think people expected The Anti-Christ to be sinister and evil - a younger version of Satan himself - forgetting that he's actually a mortal human, like Jesus. Fern has said he's deliberately chosen not to play Michael as evil because that was too simple of an interpretation. He considers Michael to be a very damaged, very broken manchild who has been discarded and abandoned by everyone who ever meant anything to him and born into a role he's not sure he fits. Plus, he's still emotionally only, like, 7 years old. While I think Fern is over-doing the tears, I've enjoyed his interpretation. There's definitely residual good-will towards him because of his performance in ACS Versace, but it's not unwarranted IMHO. He makes great choices and really works at developing a character rather than just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. He's also very gender fluid onscreen and off, kind of like Timothy Chalamet. There's a vulnerability to Chalamet and Fern that we're not used to seeing from male actors. For me, that's refreshing. That's why I like Fern.
  16. Does anyone know if they write the entire season before shooting or if they write the first few, start shooting, then write the rest? I only ask because just a few weeks ago Angela Bassett was being interviewed and said she was disappointed she wasn't asked to come back for the Coven cross over. Then, last week, they announced she'll be in the finale. Same thing with Jamie Brewer (Nan). Someone asked her on Twitter if she was coming back and she said No. Fandom went nuts when she she didn't appear in first few Coven-related episodes, suddenly she's in the 7th episode for a brief appearance. I know it's possible Bassett and Brewer were being coy, but the timing seems a little suspect. ETA: Wednesday Adams - Right? This season feels so disjointed and choppy, like they're going by what the audience reaction is and then re-writing stuff. ETA Part Deux: I think Cody Fern is fantastic, but what is with all the crying in every episode?? We get it. You're super sensitive.
  17. Honestly, without Fern, this episode would have been unwatchable. Talent-wise, he's on a level Sarah Paulson dreams she could reach. This seaaon would have flailed after episode 1 without him.
  18. Hey, so, that was stupid. Another filler episode that did very little to advance the plot. As usual, this series went off the fucking rails after episode 5. Now, after crawling at a snail's pace, the main storyline is going to jammed into two episodes. Oh, and Marie Levau is returning? Thank god. I was worried they wouldn't jam anymore useless characters into this season. Seriously, without Cody Fern this season would be Roanoke level awful. ETA: The AntiChrist jetting down the California highway in a convertible is just...wow. This season lost momentum after Boy Wonder.
  19. As much as I loved returning to murder house, it caused the whole season to lose momentum. As an aside, did anybody catch Cody Fern's Instagram post the other night? He deleted it, but he addressed the rabid AHS fandom and how anxiety-inducing it is to see how far they go to find photos and stories about him and his boyfriend. He also vaguely addressed the questions about his sexuality, implying he's bisexual. I feel pretty bad for him. I don't think he was prepared for the intensity of that fandom or how exposed he was going to feel.
  20. I think once he encountered Witch Mallory, he wanted everyone killed before she could expose him as the Antichrist. There's also the scene where Michael was annoyed with Venabale for imposing a no sex rule in the Outpost. Then there were the snakes aka Michael appearing in Emily's room. At the very least, Michael wanted somebody to have sex.
  21. Not only is it confusing to have the same actors play different characters because the characters all look so similar, but what's with making Evie some faded Hollywood starlet and Bubbles...some faded Hollywood starlet? Why hide/protect Mallory instead of using her to stop Michael before the bomb goes off in the first place? Also, prediction: knowing he might die, Michael will impregnate someone. Calling back to his one on one with Gallant, he mentions that they know how to retrieve genetic material from men without intercourse but still need a womb to carry the child "for now." Then therels the email on the laptop Kyle and Emily found that mentioned something about gestation. The tweens on social media are all abuzz about a Michael sex scene in episode 8, and many of the teasers all have a gestating fetus/newborn/womb imagery. Fun twist? Michael impregnates one of the witches.
  22. As you know, I've been saying from episode one on that I felt there was a misdirect going on here in regards to who the Antichrist truly was. As much as I am enjoying the nostalgia and Cody Fern's performance, I truly hope the last 3 episodes aren't as predictable as they appear to be. This season could possibly surpass Murder House and Asylum as best overall season unless they phone in the remaining episodes. I'm still not getting why Cordelia cast an Identity spell over Coco and Mallory to keep them safe and then set it up so they'd be at the outpost with the very person she was protecting them from. So!Many!Plot!Holes!
  23. Here's another question: if Mallory and Coco were protected with an identity spell, why didn't Coco's parent's remind her that she was a witch? Were they under the spell, too? How is it that Michael - the fucking anti-christ - doesn't know they're witches? He knew Dinah was a witch and she was put under the identity spell. He knew that people were brought back to life after The Great Apple Massacre of 2021. But he didn't know Mallory was some super-form witch/angel hybrid?? I think the Outpost's were put in place so Michael could have some way to fund his New World plan and spare people who could help populate his New World. He wants people willing to drop the facade and not pretend to be better than they are. That's why the first time he met with Venable he said she didn't pass the test and when she tried to kill him he said she passed. She was all pearl clutchy and offended when he accused her of creating her own rules, but when it came down to saving herself, she dropped the act. Same with Gallant. Michael had no use for Gallant until Gallant admitted he hated his grandmother for shaming him, something Michael could relate to. This. My guess is Murphy knows how limited Lourde is so he's not giving her much material.
  24. This episode certainly did move the story along, but they're stuffing these episodes with useless characters for the hell of it and barely developing characters that appear to be integral to the story. Lookin' at you, Mallory. It's like they decided they'll have an angel fight Michael and turn back time, did nothing to build on that, and instead focused on writing nonsensical/unnecessary scenes for Ryan Murphy's friends. No Misty Day, but thank god Joan Collins was given something to do, I guess? Then there's Coco who, for the life of me, I can not figure out how she fits in to all this other than Ryan Murphy wanted to write a character for Leslie Grossman . What was Cordelia asking Coco to do, go to the grocery store? Was everyone else busy? What is happening?? Edited to add: Did they keep Michael out of this episode was so that he didn't meet Mallory? Because he had no idea who she was in Outpost 3. Are we to believe that he never once encounters her during all this?
  25. There really doesnt seem to be any concern for accuracy. I mentioned before that Dinah cited the wrong song from The Hardy Boys episode she mentioned. It took all of ten seconds to go to you tube, find the episode, and hear the correct song used. As for Cody Fern in the Rubber Man suit, I'll just leave this here. 13,000 comments and still going.
