  1. I thought this was a better episode than a lot of the recent ones, but I'm not happy with the "Lorre" treatment of Paige. I'm also surprised that Sheldon wouldnt harass the dorm's RA rather than trying to deal with the noise himself. At least Missy got some screen time (though the fact that Sheldon, Paige and Missy would all end up in the same dorm room seemed rather improbable).
  2. If the story of her illness is true, and I have no reason to doubt it, I feel sorry for her, but Jared making money on her misfortune doesn't make me like the company.
  3. Yes, and it was a pretty good show. Hard to believe it didn't last longer. Could be a model for the continuation of the movie franchise.
  4. Yes, I'd be happier with a "Young Indiana Jones"
  5. It's sort of fitting that the ad WOULD be shitty, don't you think?
  6. I think the Saturday episodes were on a different rotation. The weekday episodes were chronological. The only good thing about running WWW out of order is more Dr. Loveless. I suspect they think showing these episodes early will help ratings (esp. for people unaware of the show). On the 17th MeTV will be running the Robert Conrad episode of "Adam 12."
  7. One of my favorite DVDShow episodes. And true to life about how men think.
  8. I think there might be a difference between how this is handle with group life insurance and personal life insurance. With group insurance the risk is spread out through the group,, unlike personal insurance. But I'm not an insurance agent, I just play one on TV.
  9. That's sort of typical male behavior, we often have no idea what women would want (and its probably worse the younger a guy gets). As a kid I once bought my mother a humumgous "cocktail ring" for Christmas based solely on its size and garishness. I give him credit for asking what would be a good gift (and thinking of giving the gift in the first place). And there's the Empress Carlotta's necklace episode of "The Dick van Dyke Show" on this same idea.
  10. I don't know if this is permanent, but INSP replaced their Sunday morning showing of "Daniel Boone" with... wait for it...even more "Gunsmoke!"
  11. That's not unusual. I think most Life Insurance policies work that way, otherwise everyone getting a bad medical prognosis would be buying million dollar policies. You'd pay next to nothing and your family gets a million.
  12. And special air conditioning just for the computer room.
  13. Hopefully she wasn't at Camp Lejune. We spent plenty of school trips doing that, between rounds of "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"
  14. My point exactly. (I was using MIT in the Sheldon sense of the word)
  15. It appears that INSP replaced "Alias Smith & Jones" with "The Big Valley" which is on other channels (and was a show I never watched even in first run). 🤔
  16. And neither Sheldon nor Dr. Sturgis could guess that would be the case! I guess they needed an MIT man.
  17. They could have gone somewhere with Missy working at the comic book store, but that went no where and now she's at the video store. They could easily have a story line about Sheldon realizing his college is just using him (esp. after every plot involves the college Pres. lying to him) and looking for another school such as Heidelberg. Of course Mary would oppose that.
  18. A really poor episode. The database plot really bores me and I suspect will go nowhere.
  19. The studio changed the titles to "Dr. Gillespie" after Lew Ayres was let go due to his being a conscientious objector. "Calling Dr. Gillespie" completed principal photography when the studio decided to replace Ayres and all of Ayres' footage was scrapped.
  20. I just keep wishing a golf ball would conk the dancing lady.
  21. Apparently we now have the scourge of "Ozempic face"! https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/ozempic-face-before-and-after-photos-weight-loss-b2270262.html
