  1. IIRC the issue was that Mauricio was introduced to high end Cali real estate by Rick Hilton, and then while still working there he tried to surreptitiously create his own agency without telling Rick about it, but when Rick found out, Mo agreed not to poach agents from Rick’s company, but Mo didn’t keep his word and tried to recruit agents away from Rick’s.
  2. I’d tend to think it’s because the BH cast has “better” connections than NJ or Potomac. If you don’t watch those shows you probably don’t know who those women are, but most of the BH women are recognizable and/or connected to other well-known figures. And Kyle is tight with Bethenny, who seems to have some influence in the HW franchise. Maybe producers just don’t want to rock that whole boat as much for fear they’ll lose what they consider big names and access to more of them.
  3. The 75-cent black scrunchie makes this perfect. Oops, sorry, on sale at Claire’s, ten for $5.
  4. I love Cam. I love her chats with Jason about the emotion of putting away baby clothes (exactly like what happened for me for all three of my babies). I don’t need Jason in my life. I’m not sure what real experiences of hers she’s denying us that we should feel we’re entitled to. She did Real World so we’ve had a chance to be bigger voyeurs wrt her. She’s the second mom figure in the group (after Patricia) and I find her entertaining (like when she asks the nanny candidate about astrology, obviously being funny) and charming.
  5. I can understand the producers giving them more items because 60 days is a long time, but I don’t understand those two calling bartering for one hook “welfare” when producers gave THEM all those hooks. The smugness is over the top. I’m really surprised that Rylie (sp?) hasn’t snapped about it yet. The reason I dislike her is she’s always seemed snotty, disrespectful, and willing to assume she’s smarter than everyone else. Hunger can make even nice people snippy (maybe the other three are helping her stay mellow?) so I’m actually hoping she tells Jaura to cram it. Maybe at the reunion.
  6. What a**holes Jeff and Laura are. Letting four people buy ONE OF YOUR TWENTY FISHHOOKS isn’t “giving them a handout.” Then saying they need to “put on their big boy pants” is gratuitously insulting. Then demeaning Russell as trying to be “a hero” for choosing to give them four hooks is just juvenile. (Note that Matt Wright always manages to survive without being a selfish jerk.) Then when Duke stands up to you for messing up one of their four lines, you show no respect? Jeff is a child and Laura just parrots him because she’s another showoff. The four “neighbors” show way more class and maturity than those two bullies.
  7. I’ve been a tourist. I’ve never been a Tahitian.
  8. Not even close to blackface. And I decline to appropriate Tahitian feelings by getting in a dither about touristy silliness.
  9. Regardless of whether the guests or producers were behind the entertainment, I say meh. The crew let themselves look silly doing what they and the guests clearly knew wasn’t something they actually knew how to do correctly. They weren’t mocking a culture or appropriating it. They were being unpretentious about how it wasn’t their skill or culture.
  10. Because he can’t figure out what triggers her so he keeps his interactions with her in what he thinks is the safe zone.
  11. As a woman I vehemently disagree with the implied notion that Rhylee gets a pass for absurd work behavior just because she has a vagina. Holding her out as an example of a woman mistreated at work simply because she’s a woman makes a mockery of women for whom that’s a legitimate claim.
  12. Whitless keeps saying she’s keeping Buddy’s presence from Heather because Heather said she didn’t want to hear about Buddy, but really it’s because she doesn’t want Heather questioning her loyalty or her adherence to girl code. All she had to do was text Heather and say “FYI Buddy is spending a few days visiting Greensboro and is staying in Donna’s old room at my house.” If Heather got upset Whitless should’ve just said “I love you, Heather, but I’m still Buddy’s friend too.” The end. But I guess that’s not how anyone Makes Good TV.
  13. We’ll know Todd reads this forum if he starts wearing double sided tape around Whitney.
  14. I don’t think this show left a great impression about Kyle’s and Kim’s father (Kathy was the child of a previous Big Kathy marriage), who IRL was a serial cheater, having married and had kids with at least two women he cheated on. IIRC Big Kathy was his mistress before they married. In other words, Kyle “loosely based” this show on some awful people who happened to be her parents. I didn’t think it would be palatable and it wasn’t. (Side note: Kyle posted a smarmy Father’s Day tribute to her dad on IG and blocked me for commenting that IMO good fathers don’t cheat on the mothers of their children. I think she’s too confused about her childhood to really make the concept work for this show.)
  15. I get it. It’s why I don’t shave, bathe or brush my teeth. Screw other peoples’ expectations. So why do people avoid me? Probably my rosacea. Yeah, that’s it. It’s my rosacea.
  16. It’s the current version of pro wrestling. Real, I swear.
  17. “Hostile work environment” is a term of art in employment law that doesn’t mean what your use suggests you think it means.
  18. Wow. Did you miss the part where Laura, on her initial tour of the boat, belittled and insulted Kate and Josiah as well as the boat’s inferior standards? Right in front of Kate? What I saw after that was Kate giving her a chance (and another one and another one) while patiently correcting her.
  19. Passive aggressive, effective and hilarious.
  20. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess that the guy in Deep Roots saw the cameras and recognized that trio because everyone in Greensboro must know about this show by now. And the conversation between him and Whitless was obviously heavily edited, likely in order to cut out the part where they discuss him knowing about the show. (But they didn’t get him to sign the waiver so they could show his face, so prob means no date for Heather.)
  21. Are you under the impression that Kate can fire a stew? Also it looks to me like Kate has built a working reputation with Capn Lee that allows her to talk to him about her stews when she needs help. In the real world managers like Capn Lee tailor their management of their subordinates to fit the situation. Looks likes it worked out.
