  1. In the unlikely event that I would ever be in the market for LuLaNo garments, Meri would be the last person I would deal with. She demonstrated a total lack of integrity by engaging in an online 'romance' while still a spiritual wife. Once the exchanges between her and 'Sam' reached the flirtatious stages, she should have made the decision to either break off the pursuit and buckle down and make the most of the relationship she was in, or come clean with the family and acknowledge that she was not fulfilled and intended to make a new life for herself. Instead, she practiced deceit until she naively thought she had a future with a wealthy lover. After being exposed for the fraud she is, she continues to hang in, despite being reviled in her own family, for the simple reason of TLC paycheck. She should take her bubble bath and bananas to Parowan and live happily ever after.
  2. Eight years of watching this show, trying to figure out how/why polygamy works. There must be some he finds more desirable than others, does he just "close his eyes and think of England", or man up and tell himself, "this is for the greater good".
  3. If they burst FT open, out would pop the Seven Deadly Sins instead of 'white people's candy', sending people fleeing in all directions.
  4. Philosophical Janelle should perhaps spend some time pondering why she has allowed herself to become morbidly obese and why she is throwing up roadblocks on her Strive path.
  5. It was boring bullshit way back in season 1, before we really knew them. Now that they have shown their asses over the years and we know who they really are, it's even more unpalatable. And yet, I still hate-watch.
  6. She no doubt envisions herself as an entrepreneur now that her corporate dynasty has expanded to the hospitality industry.
  7. I'm not a Meri fan by any stretch of the LLR leggins, but I have to give her credit for the effort she is putting into this. She seems to be the only one of the Brown parents that is making any attempt at gainful employment. I can only hope that she has the sense to bail out when the good ship LLR starts to flounder and sink and not cling futilely as she has with her 'marriage'.
  8. I totally agree Meri seems driven to make this LLR work. She appeared to spend previous years lounging around, not doing much of anything, she did go back to school and I think completed two courses, but then along came "Sam" and that fell by the wayside. It seems that now the realization that she has lost her status in the family has hit her, she is preparing herself for life beyond. It has probably saved her sanity, to have become somewhat of a major player in LLR, I just hope she has the sense to bail out when the time is right and she is not left with all those spare bedrooms and garage crammed with unwanted inventory.
  9. I was a little concerned when Joe Darger, at the rally before the march, was trying to promote them singing a song as they marched. I had visions of Christine bursting into song and trilling away...We Shall Overcome, as they marched.
  10. No tacos--------no Tony.
  11. Someone who had been through the process, mentioned that the judge would have would have taken the Jessop kids individually into his chambers to question them regarding if they fully understood the consequences of this procedure. It may have happened off camera or the judge may have relied on a report from a social worker, but the full impact of this action should have been explained to Robyn's kids in an age appropriate manner.
  12. Kody was probably counted 3 times, he would be frenetically racing around to wherever the cameras were.
  13. It seems Meri has been eatin her fillins since Robyn came on the scene and she was no longer Boss Bitch.
  14. Janelle spends her time in Deep Thought. For the past few years, she has been contemplating how to implement the concepts of Strive, once she grasps it, just watch the ounces roll off her.
  15. The Hobby Lobby decor is a nice setting for her LLR wardrobe choices.
  16. Funny thing is, for all her "healthy eating", her figure is just as lumpy as her sister wives, who have had 5-6 kids each.
  17. It seems this is what the sisterhood of sister wives should be all about. Too bad Meri and Robyn didn't get the message.
  18. I think Kody and Kompany will be in a quandary over this. On the one hand, they will be giddy with excitement over another wedding and the possibility of another season evolving from that... and on the other, the SM attention that will be given to Lynn Thompson and the accusations by the groom's sister/half sister Rosemary Williams against their mutual father.
  19. Can't help but wonder if there would be possible tax incentives by declaring a portion of the home as a church. Congregation of 25 or so souls.
  20. Whoa is right, such a tangled vine. Just to be clear, this would make Mitch, the full or half brother of Rosemary Williams, who has accused her father Lynn Thompson of molesting her when she was young?
  21. I can't help but wonder what her reaction would have been if it was Robyn, the self appointed family mouthpiece, that had "butted in". Meri has ceded her rights as a wife and mother to Robyn to the point that she even consults her on how best to engage Mariah in conversation, much to Robyn's smug delight. After all, Robyn has "been there since the beginning" and has "pitchers" to prove it.
  22. An adult would have dealt with the situation right then, right there and interjected in a light hearted manner, "Janelle, I think the question was directed to me". Instead, Meri let it fester and grow way out of proportion, to the point that Meri felt therapy was required. Not dealing with it at the time, the next best tactic to clear the issue would have been for Meri to confront Janelle one on one instead of text to let her know she felt Janelle was out of line.
  23. I don't think it's ever been addressed on the program, if it hadn't been in their book, we may never have been privy to this info. Janelle has been portrayed as having dumped Meri's brother to pursue Kody but we have never learned why Janelle left her marriage. It's possible that the marriage was to all intents and purposes over and Janelle coming into contact with Kody gave her the impetus to make the move. For all we know, it may have been Meri's brother that made the marriage intolerable for Janelle. In any case, it strikes me as odd that anyone would want to hook up with former SIL's husband, but then the whole concept of polygamy strikes me as odd.
  24. Figuratively, he did cut her loose, but Meri keeps swimming around the empty line, hoping to get snagged and landed back in the Love Boat.
  25. She should also ditch the tanners or whatever she is using on her face for that orange glow, it just draws attention to the brown tooth.
