I just looked and I'd say probably yes. For sure, he's got the neurosis down. Early BMW was pretty Disney-esque before it became the BMW that most people really enjoyed. I think GMW just looks too pretty. BMW seemed very "normal people" and relatable, even looking at their clothing, it was very plain. GMW just seems so stylish and clean (especially for being set in NYC).

This is probably the wind up Peanut Carter she was talking about, and it's frightening. (this would be the Mr. Peanut windup) I've enjoyed Melissa McCarthy's work since Gilmore Girls and am just happy that she's made it big. The only thing I agree with the tobacco farmer/state senator is when he said (paraphrase) "you won't enjoy a good job until you've had a bad one". Other than that, it seems that he and others are exploiting some loophole in terms of minimum wage/working hours/working age/working conditions. I'm not always crazy about Sam Bee's segments, but this was a good one from her. Say what you want about Mccain, at least he's consistent on wanting the US to basically police the world.

She's adorable. Though watching Mark Ruffalo promote the movie on Graham Norton and her promote it here, it still doesn't look like that great a movie. One thing I didn't get about the interview was his comment about the World Cup. Doesn't England usually balls up early on as well? They make it and then just lose in the first few games. That McDaniels guy sounds absolutely batshit. The fact that his opponent barely beat him is just depressing. Jordan Klepper has really grown on me but Jessica Williams is hands down the best correspondent right now. Wow.

I still don't really know how I feel about Michael Che. I kind of felt the Cheney segment fizzled with him. Well the crowd was struggling with Bill Maher in the extended interview, but he and Jon seemed to have fun until Jon started making fun of the Mets. Isn't Citi Field a jar of tears in itself? Most my friends are Mets fans and they're just sad all the time about it.

Well, I can't wait for them to bring back Questionable Impressions.

That was a pretty Shades of Grey Jack we had in that episode wasn't it. I do feel that the closing of the iris was pretty in character. The US military/government has a history of dealing with pretty shady characters, heck just look at modern day geopolitics and world events, and Jack knows that. Regardless of what atrocities Alar had committed on his world, he would have been given a pretty sweet deal in the US given the technology and other advancements he could bring with him. I know we love him (or at least, I love him a lot), but Jack was always a cold and calculating murderer when he needed to be. The man was spec ops after all. I kind of think it was because Daniel was being so obvious with his hesitation and distrust. Alar was obviously lying, the whole thing was just off kilter, and SG-1 had the upper hand. I think Jack just wanted, for appearances sake, to make it seem like SG1 was game so that they could snoop around without raising suspicion.

Here's an interview with Maron that goes into more detail and has a few anecdotes. @peeayebee got the general gist of it. Basically, Maron has always been an incredibly petty and jealous guy and was an ass to most his contemporaries back in the day (Jon, Louis CK and a few others). His podcast basically let him do an apology tour and interview and apologize and talk to people he's offended over the years. Jon refused to do one because Maron treated him like extra shit but offered to go out to coffee and talk things over if Maron wanted to. Maron just wanted to do an apology podcast and not talk to Jon otherwise (at least that's what he's made it out to seem like). IMO, if you can't apologize without a mic and publicity, then you're not really apologizing because you're sorry of what you did, you're doing it because it'll benefit you in some other way. That's not an apology. I mean, they did call Jon "our most important Jew" so at least they're starting from a point of respect to begin with. I'm going to assume that someone in the writers room of Family Guy let it out and word got to Jon. I've been reading some news coming from Canada. I think Maher and Jon are fine. They have phones and probably used them. Similar to the Seth Macfarlane-Jon issue before. Seth has been on twice since their tiff with no animus. It's not Marc Maron here, Bill and Jon aren't idiots who can't converse about whatever issue they have with each other without a mic.

The Jim Cramer interview I linked for sure. He had it coming too. CNBC was being trashed and Cramer's show was sort of mentioned in the trashing. It really was about some other guy that Jon hated on the network and IIRC Cramer was maybe mentioned in passing. Cramer then took a few shots on TDS on his show in the following days and TDS responded with more segments about the shitty CNBC programs. Cramer took umbridge with it and called the show saying that he wanted to come on and defend himself. He got booked on a bunch of NBC news/MSNBC/CNBC shows (and the Martha Stewart show for some reason) leading up to the interview (and after the interview) talking about how he was going to go on TDS to prove Jon wrong. And Jon just destroyed him. Unlike all of Jon's other interviews, this guy basically called and begged to be on to defend himself so Jon had a no holds bar since Jon would have no reason to ever have him back and just did the most brutal takedown ever. Cramer of course in the interviews after the show was pissed because that was not what he had expected. Jon's brother somehow got dragged into it by some newspapers.

So I'll start on the topic of Jon's cringiest interviews. I wouldn't say they're necessarily the most interesting or heated interviews, just so bad that you just start facepalming part way through and feel embarrassment for either Jon or the interviewee. Fremde Frau, have you seen the Even Stevphen where Steve Carrell gets piss drunk? It's great. The episode was cohosted by the two Stevphen's. I can't believe they actually had him drink. Yeah, I don't think people watch Fallon for his interviews, just his viral videos. I frankly think he's pretty terrible at interviewing, stop with the sycophantic laughter. So for sure politicians would rather be recorded having fun on a viral video rather than being grilled by Jon like a teacher scolding their student. I think when Colbert takes over the Late Show, that'll really siphon Jon's guests. And really, Colbert is just going to be so much better than Fallon.

As someone who specialized in molecular genetics and neuroscience and is now in medical school, you must all listen to me on whatever I have to say about ANYTHING in any field of science. After all, since I cut my teeth in the scientific community, I can speak for the entire scientific community regardless in my lack of specialization in other fields. Shall I lecture everyone on Cosmology? Climatology? Astrophysics? Analytical chemistry? Physical chemistry? Geology? What is the point on getting specialists or the top of the field to present things to Congress if someone who has a background in a totally non-related field considers themselves equally qualified? How would the congressman or senator react if the EPA people decided to tell him everything he learned as a optometrist was wrong even if they had no background in it? 20 minute extended interview! Does anyone know what interview Hamid was talking about? The one where the person basically justified all killing. So was Hamid just sent to ask the US for US troops to help? Because he said that a few times throughout the interview.

I don't think they'd have to do a guest host. Between all the NYC based shows (Letterman, Fallon, Charlie Rose(?)) and radio shows (Fresh Air, Leonard Lopate) he could do, it won't really take up that much time. There's also those week long breaks that he'd have off that they'd probably schedule near the release date so he could do LA based shows (Kimmel, Conan). He also has Friday's off. He managed to go to Cannes for his film for a Saturday night screening without any sort of TDS break. Or they could have Gael García Bernal do most of the promotion that Jon can't do.

Some of his stand up is on Netflix, he's great. Unless that's what Undeclared is... I know nothing about WWE. Was The Rock one? Also, Kevin Hart's shirt was extremely distracting. They did such a great job! Everybody, great job! Don't you think they did a great job? Let's give them a hand for their great job! Great job! It's something you'd expect to see on Anchorman, not CNN.

I think it's more that Jon knows that McCain (or Huckabee or anyone else) has seen or heard from aids/interns about the segments already. However they continue to choose to honor their commitment, so Jon will maybe bring it up briefly and then let it pass. This is until it gets unbelievably egregious on the other person's part- then Jon gives them a really tough interview and they never come back again. TDS is not a "must go on" show for politicians in the same vein as Meet the Press or whatever those news shows are on Fox or MSNBC. Who wants to get ripped apart by a comedian on a channel called Comedy Central? I think Jon innately knows that politicians on the left will come on the show, regardless of how the interview goes that's why we see so many people from the Obama/ex-Obama administration come on to listen to Jon (because the man doesn't really let people speak). Harry Reid aside, they generally come back for more (Fremde Frau, if you like watching cringe worthy interviews, that's another one. It wasn't even Jon's fault really, Harry Reid seemed to have no interest in promoting his autobiography or even speak and it just got worse and worse from there). They don't really have a pipeline like that to the right, so by treating one guest with semi-kid gloves, perhaps they'll come back or maybe someone else will come. As it is, not many sitting Republican politicians come on the show anymore. Mostly they're former-____'s coming on to hawk whatever book they're selling. TL;DR - what I'm saying is that I think it has more to do with access especially to those on the right. I think you're looking for what's at the end of this clip.

I think the UK version sometimes had the games too short to fit more in. So sometimes right when they're really hitting their stride, it's over. But I do think that longer games can ruin a good game more than a short one. Clive had a fun way of interacting with the performers that's pretty different from Aisha and Drew. He and Greg and him and Tony were great and trading barbs. It's a shame Mike McShane, who is an American, never made an appearance on the US version. He was a fantastic singer. I have to admit that Ryan was my favorite even in the UK version, but Josie, Steve Frost, Stephen Fry, Tony Slattery, Colin, Greg, Chip, and Paul Merton were all fantastic. Some of the early US tapings, the ones in NYC in season 3 or 4(?) where they were trying out new American improv-ers were really bad. I don't think they ever brought back to the UK any of those people who they found for the shows in NYC aside from the pre-established people (Greg, Ryan, Colin, Chip, Brad).

I think you will love this site. Some poor soul rewatched and snark reviewed every single episode of Full House. It's more hilarious than the show could ever be and really makes you wonder what we were thinking back in the day.

It felt like Amanda Holden is auditioning for her own talk show or something. She somehow inserted herself into EVERY little bit. For someone who hasn't ridden a unicycle in 25 years, Mark Ruffalo did a pretty decent job. I don't think I would have even given the tall one a try.

I thought Rory Albanese left the show? He was credited as a writer for last nights episode.

A few years ago, all my study breaks were reserved for watching clips of TDS. I started from 1999 and slowly moved my way up. There were some excruciating things and I definitely started skipping. A tip for interviews - watch all the people still in the media or politics now. So people like Reza Aslan, Fareed Zakaria, Rachel Maddow, Bill O'Reill, Chris Matthews, McCain, Clinton, Harry Reid etc...just to see how much they've changed or not changed. McCain is mind boggling, start watching the pieces of him after his last interview with Jon. Harsh. Very very harsh. Then slowly make your way through all the dates and if the name is unfamiliar look them up to see what they were promoting and watch those that interest you. Most the actor/actress interviews especially early on are pointless. The Jennifer Love Hewitt one where she promotes Garfield is kind of golden in a "Oh MY GOD JON"- foot in mouth type thing. Extended interview - interviews tend to be really great because Jon obviously cares.

You could also say he's smug, misogynistic, and racist. But whatever. Didn't he just tell everyone in the media to just grow the fuck up and stop being petulant children? I mean the name of the rally was "the rally to restore sanity", not "liberals unite". I don't see how calling out a shit ton of people on one side and maybe...2 on another is wrong. Not the same level of wrong doing for sure, but really what they're doing in the end adds nothing to the dialogue that should be happening and is pretty much reminiscent of a kindergarten class room. Anyways, I'm sure the interview will be fine. He probably hasn't been on in awhile since he's based in LA and TDS is based in NYC.

Not too sure how it works, but could you not take classes as credits to transfer over to another institution? So perhaps they can save money by having credits online at ASU (similar to taking AP courses in high school) for free and then transfer them over when entering another institution so they can graduate sooner and pay less. Graduating a semester or even a year earlier would do wonders in term of student loans. The Mess-opotamia segment was great and depressing. All those Republicans should go stfu. Also, Lindsay Graham was just laugh worthy.

Ugh Bill Maher. But the other guests seem alright, 75% women! So Jennifer Esposito was scheduled for this week and then bumped to next week, does that mean some poor person was bumped from next week?
