  1. Well, this I did not know. Sorry. ETA: I realized this sounds kind of bitchy. I didn't intend it to come off that way. I really didn't know about Milo's birth defect.
  2. I think there was a brief moment early on where I could see why they got together. Dean was written sort of like Jess without the attitude. He knew Rory's movie quotes, he was well read, and he listened to the same sort of music. They made him incredibly boring; oddly agressive; needy; and a townie pretty quickly. The guy went from a motorcycle riding chill Chicago boy to blah. Jess needed to speak with more than half his mouth. Actually, Logan always smiled with half his mouth as well. Maybe it's a thing that Rory has for people like that. My UO (which seems to be popular in this thread) is that April wasn't a terrible character. They just made Luke a terrible character because of her and I think a lot of the annoyance with Luke over April made people dislike April.
  3. Can you imagine an episode with a high Norma? That'd be great.
  4. Are we talking about Ephram from season 2 or the end of the series? Because Ephram is 19/20 by the end of the show I think. I think they both had their high points and low points.
  5. Paris always remained a pretty interesting and strong character. Crazy as hell and someone I'd never want to be around (a lot of her type in med school), but fun to watch from afar.
  6. My favorite 4th chair is Greg, I think he gels really well with them and has a very quick dry wit. Chip was always a great singer, he was always solid when he was the main singer in some of the UK episodes; it's a pity he won't be on the show anytime soon. I love the new additions of Keenan and Nyima. From the UK version, Greg aside; Stephen Frost and Josie Lawrence were great.
  7. The two of them really have great chemistry as a pair. Bringing back sound effects and informericial was great. They just need to add Improbably Mission and the Film Noir narrationg game back to the show and all will be good. I watched all the UK episodes with either or both Ryan and Colin last year or two years ago. So good. I can see why they added Ryan on basically full time so quickly and I can see why they paired Colin up with Ryan.
  8. No. I kind of wish they focused more on the sex trafficking since they set it up already.
  9. It would have been great TV if they were going with what you wrote. However, if they were renewed, we wouldn't have had the ferris wheel ending. Instead, Ephram and Amy would have missed each other and Ephram would have run into Madison. Plus, they were going to put Ephram and Hannah get together. At some point, having Ephram and Amy together and being OTP would have been ludicrous.
  10. I'm down with the season-month idea. Perhaps we should start in May? April would be too soon. By May, most people will know about the closing of TWoP and have migrated over if they wish. It also gives enough time for people to figure out how they're going to watch it and get whatever they need to be able to watch it. By the time TWoP closes at the end of May, we'll have a very active board that people could jump right into. I still believe that we should watch the Devlin-Emmerich movie; CotG recut; CotG original -->rest of season 1. We can have different threads: May preshow rewatch Stargate (1994) movie - (insert tag here) May preshow rewatch Stargate CotG recut - (insert tag here) May Season 1 official rewatch -We Found the Ring in the Sand June Season 2 official rewatch - (insert tag here) etc... But what do you guys think? (Someone already used the Daniel joke) It also gives you enough time to do a new brew that would be ready by the time the rewatch starts with your home brewing kit. I'm going to make a one gallon brew of Abydos Ale ~10%ABV (in honor of the stuff they gave O'Neill in CotG) and a 5 gallon Chappa'aIPA next weekend when I figure out the recipe.
  11. Can't find the interviews, but here's a summary someone made: 1. Madison returning to Everwood 2. More of a focus on Delia 3. The wedding of Andy and Nina 4. The coupling of Ephram and Hannah 5. Jake no longer being on the show 6. Andy's dad visiting again 7. Nina pregnant with Jake's child
  12. I was about to grab a bowl of fruit loops, but I think I'll get some oatmeal. Let's start the rewatch for June, when TWoP officially closes. It'll be a nice welcome to previously.tv for everyone.
  13. TWoP forums close May 31st. Do we want to start the rewatch in June or do we want to start sooner?
  14. I couldn't contain myself and just rewatched the first 3 episodes. The show set itself up so well and I think that's what made the ending so perfect (forgetting the rest of season 7). How close the Gilmore's got as a family unit, Paris being one of Rory's best friends, Luke doing everything he can because he just wants to make Lorelei happy, Sookie & Lorelei having their own inn...I can go on forever. Definitely some clunky bits, and Alexis' acting is laughably bad at times, but still such a fun show. I can't wait for the actual rewatch so we can discuss this stuff ad nauseum.
  15. One of my favorite relationships on the show was actually the Ephram-Delia relationship early on. The best example I can think of is S1 when Ephram went out of his way to make Thanksgiving like their mother did. Or when Delia was down Ephram would try to cheer her up. Harold was a great character. Tom Amandes did a great job portraying him as both comedic subplot and serious main plot when the story dictated it. Same goes with Treat Williams. The best was whenever the show put the two of them together. I still can't believe they chose ANOTHER season of 7th Heaven (after giving that show a series finale) instead of Everwood. Then again from what the writers were saying, the next season of Everwood did sound bad.
  16. This is where the adventure is. This is where heroes are made. Right here... in the wilderness.
  17. I did think that Vala had great chemistry with Daniel originally. I wish she would have been more like Martouf or Doc Frasier: there when the story needed her there but not the story written to have to have her there - and maybe die at some point.
  18. I'm with you, I too enjoy the recut. Why can't we watch both? Watch the recut and then watch the original to get into The Enemy Within? The recut is signifcantly better cinematically in terms of flow, the characters, the music, and dialogue. It removes a lot of discrepencies that may have popped up later in the show and addresses a lot of the holes and other issues it had in general. However, you simply cannot watch The Enemy Within without the necessary scenes with Kawalski. The recut grew from the show and is a great standalone feature. The show grew from the original despite being mildly cringeworthy at times. It's tons of fun watching them back to back. Seasons sounds like a great idea. Would it be a one episode a week thing? Or one episode a day? Or multiple episodes a week but not quite one a day?
  19. Cut: Carter's reproductive organs line; MacGyver line; Kawalski being taken over, Kawalski not knowing about Charlie. Added or changed: Chris Judge re-recorded all his lines. Amanda Tapping and Michael Shanks have a new scene. Some better effects. Peter Williams refilmed his SGC scene. Some part of the briefing. Completely new music, original one used the movie soundtrack, this used the guy who composed for SG 1 Not too sure, but they may have used different takes for some scenes. Eta: 16x9 and 5.1 surround sound.
  20. If you have Amazon Prime it's streaming there. Some seasons might still be on non-US Netflix.
  21. I kind of wish we saw more of mini-Jack or got to hear from him or about him. The ending of Fragile Balance was pretty pervey - 50 year old mind in a teenage body still oggling teenage girls? I want to know what he's doing now. Did he join the Air Force? Does he get to join the SGC? Or maybe he went to Annapolis or West Point. Maybe he was so fascinated by what Carter or Daniel were doing he's a scientist or researcher of some sort. I want to know dammit.
  22. I think starting with the Dean Devlin-Roland Emmerich movie is the only way to start. Should we watch the aired pilot or the recut pilot they released a few years ago.
  23. Indeed. Introducing a new character by having him be involved in the death of a much loved character is dumb but could still work. By making him an exact duplicate of the person he's supposed to be replacing and making him nothing else but a glutton was not what they needed to do.
  24. Agreed on the guest lineup posts. It's really helpful when I'm trying to get tickets to know which day I should try to get. Thanks loudfan! Or I guess trow125.
  25. I'd be up for that. It's been awhile since I rewatched the show.
