90DF Live Chat 2: This Thread is Only 60% Good

Is there a forest of stupid trees near Las Vegas? Because, I swear, Yolanda and David have both fallen out of one and hit every branch on the way down. -

S11.E15: Two Moms, Their Daughter, and a Baby
TeacherWoman replied to Kohola3's topic in Sister Wives
OMG. I almost had my reply finished and clicked some "magic keys" and lost it all. So here is how Gabriel, or Gavin as Kody thinks of him, (thanks whoever threw that out Sunday) may have been able to finish his senior year in one summer. If a student takes and passes the appropriate classes (English, social studies, math, science) each year and works in other required courses (like PE, foreign language, fine arts) in their first three years, they can enter their senior year needing few courses. States often have two levels of diplomas -- let's call them basic and recommended -- with the basic requiring fewer courses. If a student works as if the want a recommended diploma and change to basic at the end of their junior year, they may only need a couple classes to graduate -- maybe Senior English, Economics, Government. Of course, districts want to claim the high percentage of graduates on the higher diploma plan, but that isn't always in the kid's best interest. I have seen many students graduate early who really needed to. Students who were just over high school and ready to start college, students who needed to graduate early to avoid waiting an entire year for another spot in the program they wanted in the military, students who were going to have a baby, students whose parents were moving and they didn't want a senior year in a new school. Like Gabe. He did his senior year in a summer but it is quite possible that was only a couple classes., and not quite as daunting as it originally sounds. -
Gov. Abbott is holding a press conference tomorrow (Friday, 4/17) at 2:30 CST. We might know a little more then.

Bless her heart. Production has professional hair stylists, and Mariah's hair still looks undone. She needs a DevaCurl cut. Stat!

I sure did miss that. I just looked at your post two above my reply. However, it all makes me wonder if Kody is listed as father on his children's birth certificates. If he was, that could have limited social services the moms applied for when the kids were little.
-
If Kody has acknowledged paternity (on the birth certificate as father) of Savannah, Ysabel? and Truely, their mothers would receive social security benefits on the children's behalves after his death until they graduate from high school. Parents do not have to ever been married for the child to receive SS death benefits.

S10.E08: Home is Where Your Spouse Is
TeacherWoman replied to gonecrackers's topic in Married At First Sight
Pardon the obvious for my first post here. But how hard did they have to look to get a vacation-resort-sized-transport-van full of assholes to marry each other on this show? Actually, I am amazed the "experts" could fail so spectacularly. -
Junior/community colleges are often designed with programs that can be completed in two years (or so). They don't lead a person to a university but are the complete educational path for a given career. In Texas there are RN programs requiring an associates degree, for example. So some of the Cheer folks may have never intended to move on to university.

I swear I thought it went like this. M: YOU'VE GOT THREE INCHES K: DON'T TELL Three inches would explain Kody's never-ending task of over compensation.

There is always the possibility she will get on the wrong side of a young Jones, Anderson, or Finglass and it is all over. It seems that group is as intertwined as a Kudzu vine, and you know they can't all love each other all the time. #fingerscrossed

This month I saw the DCC perform live at a Cowboys game. I also saw the national tour of Phantom of the Opera. There was not a single dancer in PotA who had a body like we see from Daphne or Gina, or any of the others whose ribs show because they are so skinny. The professional dancers were very slim, but I would venture to guess each of them would be cut in DCC auditions for "not looking their best". It looks to me the standards are very different between these two groups, at least.

Someone took a big damned risk choreographing VK in a turn that close to a stairway. #seasonendinginjuryrisk

I also notice in the Bucee's pic on Daphne's Insta that VK is absolutely in the back. Funny how in the organic (no Kelli around) setting, VK ends up where a rookie should end up. Hmmmm.

Or "Finishing school for future Real Housewives of Dallas". 🙂

I wonder if she was sick or had an injury that required high dose steroids. Steroids can cause that kind of puffy look.

Who is the very tanned blonde two to the left of Erin? There is a brunette you can't see next to Erin, and then the one I am asking about.

Now that Pluto shows MTT 24/7 we have the chance to see Kelli over the years. She has not always been the catty b^&$h she has become. Her reply to Madeline S. about "getting the ball rolling" in last night's episode was a prime example. The fact Judy is more restrained in her opinions (that we see) supports the idea of Kelli spewing toxicity all around herself. Judy's opinion really mattered once upon a time. Not sure I see that now.

Women I know have had increased overall self-confidence after breast augmentation. I think that is what we are seeing with Christina. She loves her new body and it shows in the way she dances.

I can say the high schools with strong dance teams in the DFW area have far more complex choreography than this.
