  1. I had the same thought. Her, or maybe Nene, who did that fashion show on E, right? I hope they lean on the show's brand for popularity and find people who aren't mainstream household names, people who have fashion credibility but are unknown to me. Alternatively, bring in Yolanda, mother of Hadids, add in a bunch of bravolebrities as guest judges and let's go crazy. The show can't really get worse...I think.
  2. I want them to film this again and do it right. You can take someone down (um, create a narrative about bullying) without so much shrieking, as a viewer I deserve a better effort from all involved. I'm betting this performance is why Carole isn't on The View, she couldn't even keep it together for a reality TV reunion, arguing like this just isn't her game. Bethenny's biggest regret reveal was pretty well played. I hope it's a nice long break between seasons, with a cast shuffle. I'm addicted to this crap, but I need some variation. This was just...draining. And, I still am not sure what exactly started the feud (nor do I really care, at this point).
  3. I just rewatched game night. Kyle may be my all time favorite, and I'm no Brandi fan, but damned if I'm not rooting for her against the Richards sisters. What assholes. The best part of watching old stuff again (other than seeing what happens when they gain fans, or don't, and become different people) is stuff like Adrienne defending Brandi's "inappropriate" comments on her first episode. I appreciate that...foreshadowing, I guess, knowing how that comes back later. Maybe in twenty years there will be a YouTube channel where they just react to old episodes. Sadly, I'd be super into that. I'd totally forgotten Dana. She was trying so hard. So very, very hard. It's fun knowing that it didn't really work.
  4. I'd never seen Tamra's first seasons until recently, and now I think that she's had the biggest impact on the series because it got so vulgar and vicious after her. They were forcing them together more by that point, which didn't help, but man. She was awful. And I'm wondering, has she gone on a trip since Eddie got sick? I know it's not exactly the same situation as Gretchen had, but Tamra made a lot of vows.
  5. A spin off would be great, because she's such a lightning rod it's destroying the show for me.
  6. Watching clips of the reunion on YouTube, it looks like the sloppiest coordinated takedown effort I've seen on these shows, which is disappointing for a lot of reasons. If Carole was the mastermind, and I'm assuming she was...she's terrible at this, which she'd probably see as a badge of honor. The clips and preview do make me wish she'd stuck around and Bethenny had left. It'd be interesting to see how long her little alliance could last.
  7. I'm not sure I care whether she quit or was fired. She's the one not returning, to me that means she lost the battle, although other than the income I don't think staying would have been much of a prize. I wonder if the book she writes about this will be a memoir or a slightly fictional novel. If she and Bethenny are still feuding when it comes out, I'd assume the latter. That'd fit nicely with the tone of their feud via blog and Twitter.
  8. I'm not reacting well to this episode. I feel like Jen got rid of the person Marcus liked, and he actively undermined her after that. The smirking from her ex was also obnoxious. What, exactly, did he contribute to get equity? Time spent? She's controlling, and she needs to learn some leadership skills, but... Maybe focus on that, on her development. Weird episodes in this set. I like Marcus less now.
  9. Do the bags have anything anti-bullying about them? Like a pocket for a weapon for self defense, or an affirmation sewn in that someone being bullied could read? If it's a foundation...what do they actually do? Does this guy go out and look for donors, instead of selling product? This was a weird episode for me. I don't really know what this business is.
  10. I feel bad for Asia. She's such a good person, this was just a bad idea. I get what people are saying about Aquaria and privilege, but I also think she's really talented and deserving, and smart. That she did the dance for my favorite video was impressive. I hope Kameron performs in my town soon, it'll be a good show. There's something, though, in her moves that feel very 80's, and something in her look/demeanor reminds me of Tori Spelling. It's weird, and I like it. Eureka can go now. Far as I'm concerned she lost twice this season, she got way too much airtime, and I hope she has a great career...off this show. Overall I think this season had the most queens I like in one cast, a solid final four, but it's still underwhelming. I can't figure out why that is.
  11. Kameron's faces during that segment make me think it's more than just being an introvert. She's a little haughty, but I don't think that's such a terrible thing unless it's out of control. I can't wait until Monique comes to my town. She's my favorite.
  12. I have to take a moment and appreciate Carole's consistency when it comes to how her feuds start. She's been pissed at Luann for years because Luann called her designer friend to ask for a dress, without clewrance. Now she's pissed at Bethenny because Bethenny called Adam to ask for a favor, without clearance. Or at least that's what seems to me to have happened in both cases. Never call a friend of Carole's for a favor without checking with her first. Everything else won't be a problem for her if you just follow that one rule. It's nice, the simplicity of it.
  13. Call me a sucker, but I think Bethenny is nicer to Sonja because she's seeing things differently, not because she calculated a need to film with someone. I don't think it's a forever friendship, that's not Bethenny's pattern, but for me it's not a showmance, either. Also, it makes sense to me that while she'd tear apart Sonja's fake businesses she'd defend the product placement for something real, especially since she gave an assist by complimenting the shoes in the first place. I like Carole's outfits. They're all I like about her now. I'm glad this was a lighter episode overall. Fights but no wars, Ramona contributing to the drama so there's some variety. It was fun. Speaking of Ramona, I was impressed by the way she danced around a full admission that she doesn't consider Luann a friend. At least that's what I was getting from her.
  14. Eureka would impress me more if she were just a person, not someone consciously trying to represent a type. It's cool though, I have three possible good outcomes. There's not one that I love more, or feel is dominating, and I'm not, like, blown away. But, three good outcomes is pretty great.
  15. Was Asia being harsh as part of playing the mean twin? With respect to geek culture, where I was confused by their critique of Kameron was in saying it was too close to a costume. So...where does this show draw a line between drag and, say, cosplay? It'd be interesting to see a challenge as discussed above to help clarify for people like me who don't get what isn't drag on this show after people like Sharon Needles.
  16. I don't really get this whole "they need to be vulnerable" thing. I didn't know much about queens from past seasons I have come to love as entertainers, and I really don't know shit about Ru, yet I enjoy and respect her. Maybe it's my personality, but I tend to like those who are studied with a great character, like Willam or Bianca or Bob, and those who don't consciously realize what they're doing (at least at first), like Alyssa. And those like Aquaria, who I think is a secret genius playing the hell out of this game. I don't really need anything more from them. It is a weird season. I think it's one of the most even, talented top 4 groups, yet I'm not super passionate about anyone in the sense that...I'm not excited to see what happens next. I think I dislike Eureka so much it's a distraction.
  17. Carole's blogs have helped kill this show for me. I know they're technically not the show, I know I didn't have to read them. I also tend to think Bethenny is a selfish, mostly terrible person to deal with, although for me that's more than offset by her recent disaster relief efforts, so it's not like I can totally disagree with Carole, and I understand her anger. I just can't get past her use of the word "we" in her rants. I frickin' hate teams on this show, I'm tired of pile-ons. I think calling on a team and making yourself the spokesperson is bullshit, especially from someone who doesn't want to be perceived as needing a partner and preferring to be a sidekick. Hate as an individual, and maybe keep it in proportion to the offense. It's weird, because I've always been neutral/favorable towards her. I still kind of am. I'm just...annoyed, because this franchise was my go-to for fun stupid relaxation, and now it all feels heavy and toxic. OC had the fake cancer scandal. NJ has the unapologetic felon. ATL had whatever that was with the drugging/raping accusation. And now this, a pile-on where the villain they're rallying to defeat is also the woman who stepped up when our government failed. How am I supposed to open a bottle of wine and enjoy that?
  18. For some reason the Bethenny/Carole breakup is really bothering me, probably because I've read some of Carole's blogs and tweets, and it makes me think I won't get the happy ending I seem to really want. I also am absurdly pro Bethenny now because of her charity work, in a way that makes me not enjoy watching her in this position even though I can see how her behavior warrants negative reactions. It's all confusing, because I didn't know I actually cared.
  19. I also need to vent again- there's too much Eureka. She'd have been great reality TV like five years ago, now it's just desperate and annoying. Other people should get a moment, she's hijacked nearly every damn one, without being clever or interesting. Also, why she assigned Aquaria's person was gross, imho. I'm rooting for Aquaria at this point. Don't know why exactly, I just appreciate her whole shtick. I also really like Asia. She seems like a genuinely good person, and I like the way she interacts with people. It's weird, everyone seems talented and also uninteresting, but I guess that's what happens when one person eats the show.
  20. I can't take more Eureka. For me she's in this weird place where she's neither authentic and endearing or an interesting character, and she gets so much screentime it's making the show less enjoyable for me. Luckily there's still Aquaria, who I'm starting to think is a genius, and Kameron, who's the first in a while to really surprise me. I hope Cracker wins something at some point. She's set up with either a good winner's arc or an easy exit story, and she missed a great opportunity to let her guard down on Untucked so I'm worried it's the latter. I like her, though, and want to see her do better.
  21. I enjoy my stupid housewives drama, like when they fight over glass or who was late to dinner, but I'm really enjoying this kind, too, where things are deeper, and it's about them as human beings. It's sad, as others mentioned, but it feels more authentic. It's a nice break.
  22. I need them to solve one more mystery on this final part- why do some of them insist on using the right glass when all of them seem to hold it incorrectly? That disconnect annoys me, as does watching them warm up what's probably expensive, delicious champagne.
  23. I paused the scene after the salon because I didn't see a difference either, and my viewing partner acted like I was crazy. Thank you for saying something about it, now I can have a public meeting at an empty restaurant with said viewing partner, lay out facts, and agree to move forward. Oh, and then throw "playful" insults. I think Bethenny and Carole faded because they didn't really have enough in common beyond not liking everyone else on the show. They're like high school friends, in a way. Super close, but mostly because of circumstance. I don't think the fight will be interesting until the reunion.
  24. I found Tinsley and Scott strangely endearing. Incredibly juvenile, with the potential for major mind-breaking crazy drama later. But, in this giggly happy moment it was fun to watch. Luann is tough and she may be more of an expert on etiquette than I thought, because she handled the Missy stuff beautifully. Boring for me as a viewer, though, because of the restraint. At least we later got... The fight at the end reminded me of Atlanta...a scene with Sheree, I think, from years ago. I so want to attend a housewives party at some point to see if it's as weird in person as it appears on TV.
  25. I wish they more directly made them react to clips, especially when they pretend to forget, or they outright say they don't want to get into details. I also wish they'd ask Erika what her issue is. I'm a fan, so I'm actually curious about why she's so...angry. It's weird to me that they haven't, because if it's this noticeable as a viewer I'd imagine it was super uncomfortable in person. Camille lost me a little when she was so happy the ball gag is off to the clubhouse. That can't be a high honor.
