I agree that there's nothing saying they should expect Mike to help. But they know he's a fixer, that he knows Lalo is alive, Kim at least knows that Mike's guys were actually watching over them, and I don't think there's anyone else they'd call first. There's also the vet, but he's probably call Mike. Saul doesn't lose his license to practice so something must help them out of this.

But she's not disappearing from the BB universe if she's not mentioned. She's simply not mentioned, because BB doesn't revolve around Saul. We don't expect to learn a lot about a show's minor characters (as Saul was), only what's relevant to the current story and characters. Wherever Kim is during the events of BB, whether that's dead, in prison, in a mental institution, in Mexico, in Germany, in a vacuum-inspired alternate life, Jimmy's wife behind the scenes, or a divorced alcoholic, Albuquerque pro bono lawyer, I'm confident we'll be satisfied with the explanation we get in BCS.
-
He wants them to know he's alive, that's why he announced himself on the bugged line. As for Mike, they just have to tell the truth. Mike's the one that told Kim that Lalo was out there. Question is, what will Kim say to Jimmy about why she didn't tell him. After the horror of Howard's death, I wonder if they will start blaming each other for what happened.
-
I can see this. In fact, it could be the reason the writers had Howard volunteer this to Jimmy and Kim. If they pass this on to Mike, this could actually happen.
-
Good, maybe they'll leave the freakin' nuclear fallout area! Hopefully Madison has enough sense for that. His turnaround was so out-of-left-field that I kept expecting him to reveal it was all a trick to get into Strand's good graces and side with Alicia.
-
Pretty sure it was his association with Heisenberg that drove him out of Dodge. They knew Saul was his lawyer. The massive money laundering was known. And hadn't WW been suspected of disappearing two DEA agents by then, too?
-
Which is simply unbelievable. We must be missing something, that is not a ball these writers would drop.
-
Oh I thought that was when he noticed Mike.

It's better for Jimmy and Kim if Howard's body is never found, and the possibility that he disappeared himself is an open one. (Thanks Mike) Nevertheless, as you say, an investigation would surface their plot and bring them to the bar's attention. Cliff would make sure of that, I would think. Now, given that Saul is a friend of the cartel, I suppose it's possible the folks ruling on his case could be threatened, bribed or blackmailed.
-
Through his conversations with Howard, Cliff has a lot of the pieces. And he's not stupid. I can see him persevering through to the truth, as much as he can. Howard cleared that up in his last talk with Cliff. Someone called HHM claiming to be from their regular PI firm, saying their phone number had changed. The admin updated the number in HHM's system. When Howard called looking for a PI, he called the new number and got Jimmy's guy. After he realized what was happening, Howard checked with the admin to confirm the events with the PI firm directly, and told Cliff about it. I really can't see Cliff letting this go easily when Howard's body turns up (or doesn't).

However this shakes out, Saul doesn't lose his license to practice, so if anyone takes a professional fall, I can't see it being anyone but Kim.
-
It felt like they were drawing parallels. Like with Jimmy targeting Chuck, however deserved you might think Kim's plan against Howard is (looking at you Bannon :P ), the final outcome for the character is totally undeserved, and a part of the soul dies. And we as viewers lose a little respect for the characters.

It's funny you should say that. On Talking Saul, when they were briefly discussing (in general terms of course) what's coming in the back half of the season, Bob praised the writers, saying that we will not be able to predict what happens, but at the same time what happens will feel very organic and earned. I felt the same way as BB was ending. Even when things were shocking, they still felt right.
-
Well that was horrific. Here I was hoping that the people Saul sent Francesca to when he was going to disappear was HHM. That maybe he saved Howard from the consequences of this scheme at the last minute and Howard owed him one. Maybe instead it's Davis and Main? This has been very disappointing. And traumatizing.

Like most of y'all, this show is really hitting me in the feels. I didn't read the book either so I'm not sure where this is going. I'm here for it though.

Spoilers And Spoiler Speculation: Anarchy In The USA
Starchild replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Fear The Walking Dead
Haha you could say the same about Rick -
Since Kirk is the one who woke him from his centuries' long stasis, that would be quite the departure. They could do it, but it's a much more significant deviation from canon than most other changes we've seen so far. But since they have an "augment" storyline with Una, I can't think of another reason to have a Khan descendant on board, so I guess we'll see.

Spoilers And Spoiler Speculation: Anarchy In The USA
Starchild replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Fear The Walking Dead
Yeah I'm just speculating based off interviews I've heard about that say the original showrunner wanted to show a TWD-verse protagonist become a villain over the course of the show, and since she was the star of the show at the time... -
Gee, Bannon, what did Howard ever do to you lol

Everyone has been thinking that Gene is missing Kim, either because she died, was imprisoned, betrayed him, or just left him. Now Gene may be thinking of breaking cover. Since her betraying him is a strong suspicion right now, that it's what pushed him to become full-fledged Saul, what if he isn't missing her? What if he's looking for revenge, and the near miss on his identity is making him think, "fuck it, if I'm going down, I'm taking her with me."
-
Or they're just growing apart, as many couples do. I'm not ready to think the worst of Howard just yet.
-
Eh, do we really need another season of her dealing with PTSD? It would have been a way to finally get Lea off this show. Is it bad I was kinda hoping for that? It's bad, right?

Spoilers And Spoiler Speculation: Anarchy In The USA
Starchild replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Fear The Walking Dead
Wes went bad for no good reason at all. Just like Morgan is suddenly outta there. With Alicia going to a new show, I guess it's just gonna be Madison vs Strand. I don't think anyone else left ever knew Madison. Which is going to definitely lessen the emotional impact of her return. But if they end up turning her full villain, then maybe that's for the best. It would be tough to see her turn on the people she used to care about, and who cared about her. Hopefully that doesn't include me. Please don't Negan-ify her. Please give her more nuance than that. -
S20.E15: Rod Stewart; Ian Bremmer; Jane Harman
Starchild replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Real Time With Bill Maher
Eh, some of the comments they both made about women made me cringe a little. I figure Stewart won't change at this point, but Bill claims to have his finger on the pulse. -
Any chance that means we've entered BB territory? Maybe Saul was setting up his new office space when Walt was getting his diagnosis? Oh man, I hope "execution" doesn't point literally to Howard's demise. Although if it's Lalo I'm OK with it.
