Weird ending to the season. It felt like 50 passed the final scene to WWE writers to create some fresh bullshit. How did Diana/Dru know about Tommy being alive, to give the letter to Kate knowing Tommy will come from wherever he was hiding to attempt to kill Tasha and that will motivate Tariq to kill Monet? How did Diana know where Kate lives for all this to play out as it did. How many red wigs does Monet have? Did Tariq "Pillow talk" all the Book One history to her in one night?!!! These writers are Wild!!!!!!. Brayden to the rescue from Obi's call. Why not just call Tariq and let him in on the plan? Obi lost a perfect chance to eliminate all of them at one time and take Noma's business and get revenge for his scar. So, Brayden had enough time to write a suicide note after leaving Lucas' penthouse. Keke wasn't fooled but the NYPD bought all this and no security camera seeing Brayden leave. I guess "Case Closed"!!!!!!! How are there no agents questioning Tariq at the hospital for why he was in the witness house or about the dead agents or did they not find 2-Bit's car to question him. Tariq should be in serious trouble, but it's passed by. What! Noma pretty much got a confession from Monet that she killed Mecca and her "punishment" is to be given a top position in her empire and it's "Obi Wan Cutme" is the one that gets slashed in the face (for being Obi). Unreal!!!!!!! Monet should have been shot. What a waste seeing the other people questioned, killed or tortured and this didn't play out with Monet. Kate thinks Tariq is a good kid. So, Jenny thought the entire threat was over before the trial?? She knew Tariq and Cane was part if this, not just Effie. And of course, Cane goes to their house to hold them hostage so Lauren can recant. As predicted, Jenny ruined her entire case due to letting the patents go free. Jenny should be fired! That female guard always gives creepy vibes. She did it with Tasha and now Effie by leaving the door open. Tariq told Tasha he learns that killing leads to more problems. Did he learn that after he told Brayden to kill his uncle but somehow forgot the message when he agreed to kill Monet!!!!!! Earlier, Tariq was about to blast Monet until Obi stopped him. Tommy and Tasha made up. How sweet!!!!!!!!! "I'm an Uncle Now Tasha"....."What!" Once again the protective detail shined by letting Lauren sneak out and allowing Tasha to disappear long enough so she can steal a car, get a gun, try to kill Monet and have time to sit in the park to meet Tariq. And Tasha will return (No questions asked) Just one more turn to go and that Rubic's cube was going to be solved by Lucas and Brayden had to destroy his dream. Damn!!!!!! Not sure why Lauren had to meet Effie. She gave this fake tough talk to Effie as if she wasn't going to recant but Lauren already knew she was going to do it anyway. She should have just gone to the prison to tell Effie "Chill! I got this!!!!! You'll be out tomorrow. Then we can have our knife fight... Bitch!!!". For some reason, Jenny let Lauren go and not press any charges for perjury? Again, Jenny should be fired! I hope Lauren doesn't come back. It wouldn't make sense if she was still enrolled at Stansfield next season. Noma's daughter (Anya Covington) is at NYU and just happens to be Tariq's age. next season, Tariq and her will meet. Possibly, another love interest for him. So, after that little heart to heart conversation, Diana changed her mind, wanted to go back in the house so Tariq wouldn't shoot her. I hope Diana is the first Tejada to go next season!!!!!!!! Dru second! Tasha has to take part blame messing this up for Tariq. She thought he would be in the clear after she killed Monet and Tariq could just go back to school. Thank heavens Yaz wasn't the getaway driver. Of all the people making an attempt to kill Monet, I would have thought Papa and Trace Weston or Salim or Noma would be on top of the list. Tasha would have been better off trying to kill Noma. Tariq thinks he learned from all of Ghost's mistakes. Ok! As Cane, Diane and Dru made their "backstabbing" appearances to Tariq, was Effie in the restroom washing her hands and fixing her face????!!! How convenient she happened to arrive just as Tariq made a threat to Noma's daughter. So dramatic are these writers! Looks like Brayden shot Cane. Does Tommy have a GPS tracker on Tariq. After Tariq leaves Kate, Tommy just knew where to find Noma's hideout to talk to Tariq. Good Grief! Monet taking the painting was funny. "It even has your name". I think that was the second time Monet smiled since Season one. With Brayden's disgust for his family, I was surprised he didn't help bring more paintings and other valuables to Cane's SUV. Harper must have super hearing, or she knows Davis is a dirty lawyer by one look at him. Once she heard those magic words "Large sum of money to my campaign" she knew it was evil Tate time, and the engagement is over!!!!!!!!!! Tate needs to find better places to have corrupt meetings were Harper or Brushandria can't see or hear him. Was Jenny wearing a wig in the court room hair looked different as if the scene was shot at a different time. Next season, I wonder who will team up with Tariq and Brayden to go to war. Maybe Davis, Keke and RSJ. I doubt it would be Tasha and Tommy.

When Effie pushed the car in the water, she wasn't wearing gloves and the car didn't fully submerge in the water. I always thought her fingerprints were the only proof they had on her. But it was never brought up. The writers can use Lorenzo's fingerprints ib a plot but use not Effie's in this case. So inconsistent on them. It would all come down to Lauren's word against Effie's word. Brayden wouldn't be a good witness as he would have to implicate himself holding a gun to Lauren. Anyway, I won't say anymore. As I have seen how it played out next week.

2 Bit is the only side character left from the original. They killed everybody else. I guess these writers think bringing him back for nostalgic purposes would make the fans happy. I don't see it! In court, Tasha blamed whole operation on Tommy which caused Tommy to fake his death and leave town. That is why Tasha is in witness protection. Since then, Tommy wants to kill her.

I have seen the 2 leaked episodes last week. They were claimed to be "fake" but so far it has been accurate. I have been checking my mail to see if Saxe sent me a letter. So far, nothing. I'll keep checking. Who mailed the letters to Monet, Jenny and 2-Bit? Must have been Saxe's niece. Did Saxe have different letters in case he was killed in a plane crash or some other way? Seems no matter how he died, Tariq and Tasha were going to burn. Tariq taking a swing at Cane was funny. Tariq would never win in a fist fight against Cane. Cane thinks Tariq acts like T'Challa. Ha! Diana is searching Tariq's room and didn't take the stack of cash under his mattress, but the folder was more intriguing??!!!! The fact that Tariq keeps money under a mattress is confusing. Brayden can't move out of the way of the SUV approaching and let the door hit him? I applaud him for going to the hospital on his own and no family members were there to be with him. The last part of Tommy and Tasha appearing was a surprise. I can't believe Tommy showed up to kill Tasha, just from a letter from Saxe. It's nice for drama but Tommy driving all the way from Chicago like that doesn't make sense for his character. Did he not consider this to be a trap from the Feds?? Yaz running around in the streets at night didn't make sense. These agents can let Lauren escape many times and Yaz just leave unaccompanied with no problem. And these agents just let Tommy get the drop on them after being warned danger is coming. The worst protective detail in TV history. Did Estelle not see Tommy at all or the dead bodies when she went out to look for Yaz? Was she covering for Tommy and not tell the Marshals. Wouldn't the agents find 2-Bits car and call him in for questioning or find Yaz sitting in the car? The sequence of events was puzzling. Lucas expected the FBI to believe the entire Ponzi was conducted by "intern" Tariq and Brayden under Crash Coin? Hopefully, that knock on the head by hitting the side of the building out some sense in him before he hit the BMW. Too bad for the owner of the BMW Lucas landed on. Brayden prints can be easily lifted from the railing, and he could be easily seen leaving the building but of course the NYPD will miss these clues (like Saxe's murder) and say Lucas killed himself. Cane Clark Kent in glasses was funny. Tamekia is not in law enforcement anymore and can still get agents moving quickly from one call. Monet was ready to beat all their asses "Let that bitch go......"

When Monet sees this, she is going knock him out! Dru will quickly break down to Evelyn and tell her everything. Tate's answer about lowering the crime rate should have been: "Getting rid of Tariq St. Patrick". He would have won everyone's vote (including his opponent Anne Voung-Han's) right then. Biggest plus for the episode was No Salim!!!!!! We were blessed! Tariq didn't seem too bothered to find out Cane and Effie are together. Cane is some brother to Diana. He goes to Stanfield to get info on Diana and ends up staying the night with Effie. All he did this episode was tap Effie twice, see Lauren is alive and did nothing for Diana. Keke tells Brayden "Monet has been calling all day" and they didn't want that exposure. Why didn't she and/or Uncle Weston just reject the Tejada business from the start. She and Uncle Weston just took the life insurance when Brayden presented it. Keke is not that smart to believe these people will not miss their money. I thought Brayden had locked himself out the apartment when he walked out with Keke. Lauren revealed to be alive. Why couldn't they wait until it was time for court? Either Effie goes to jail and not snitch on Cane, Tariq and Brayden or Lauren is going to get assassinated before testifying. Monet going to the Country Club and her demand was not effective to scare Uncle Weston. At least Monet should have stayed to get some food/drinks or get a massage courtesy of the Westons. I'm surprise Tariq didn't have Uncle Weston do some of his intern work and pack cups as part of the deal with RSJ. So, RSJ is a legit businessman. Now he is dealing with Tariq, he will be corrupted in no time. How does Noma fit in to all this mess? Her product is not being moved. Someone has to pay. Monet tells the Castillos the "Feds are watching them but they don't know they are working together". Monet tells them this in her home, as if Feds are not outside conducting surveillance and can see the Castillos leave through the front door. They should have met somewhere else. Monet has no idea the Feds already know about them. Why was Brayden dragged to the debate? And isn't Brayden banned from campus? Stansfield security strikes again. Blanca and Jenny, they need your expertise! All the arrests and murders around Stanfield, it's time to shut down this place!!!!!!!

They could have given the Russians a "Mr. Potato Head" and they would have believed anything Monet told them. They stink! Lauren was already believing Tariq no matter what Saxe told her. LOL It is 2023, we have seen worse pics than what Diana showed Salim to shame him. The show fell flat on that one. If Salim is still trying to pursue Diana after this, I'll be pissed. Move on Salim! If Saxe survives this, he is never leaving the show. I think he, Tommy and Tariq are the last of the originals. You're right. They will mix the money and maybe at the end it will be Uncle Weston and Keke that will take the fall in The RICO instead of Tariq and Brayden.

When Monet is smiling, good times are not coming for anyone. The Russian fell for that Kai story way too easy. They are worse than the Serbs. Is Kia's last name Tejada? The Russian accepted his head as if Monet's story made perfect sense! No follow up questions required! But I'm still not sure who is easier to fool. The Russians or Dru or Lauren?! C'mon writers! You really think the viewers are that dumb??!! Gordo was setup nicely. Monet got his and Kai's dumb asses out the way. The moral of the story: never conduct "murder" business that can implicate you over your regular phone while Monet is using a burner and don't be too nice to return a text quickly. The remaining Castillo brothers don't seem to be too bright. They are pissed that the Russians are waring but it seems that every time they conduct business, it comes down to a vote. So, they must have voted "YES" to hit the Russians when Dru and Gordo came to them with the bad plan. Now that Gordo is gone, Evelyn will have to know it was the Tejadas. Or Monet will find a way to blame his death on the Russians. Dru should just bump off the brothers now before they find out Gordo is dead and war will begin. The Russian are at war with the Tejadas and Catillos, yet they still kept the times of their drug shipments (that the Castillo's know) the same. SMH! I told you Kai's "shoulder to cry on" would be floating in the East River and his body parts are scattered elsewhere. Jenny is not checking phone calls coming to or going from the safe house. She could easily tell Lauren is talking to Tariq. Jenny was so proud to tell Blanca "Lauren is alive" and Blanca didn't give her shit; the way Saxe gave her. Blanca didn't question her for why the secrecy or mention how she lied to her and Whitman? A customer purchased drugs and didn't take it from the bottom of the cup and tossed it in the trash? And here comes Agent Young in disguise to happen to find that cup. Wonderful! When is a councilman holding a press conference as criminals are being arrested? That's usually the job for the Special Agent In Charge or NYPD. Did The Police have the keys to Monet's house. Thye al came in real quiet. Salim will have the biggest, widest smile when he finds out Diana was arrested. Next week, he'll be at the police station ready to volunteer all information on Diana. Can Uncle Weston please finish that Rubik's cube before he eventually goes to jail or gets killed? Every scene he has holding it, he never makes an attempt to solve it. At least, they gave Lorenzo one last thrill and used his casket as a shield from the bullets. Lorenzo still protecting from the beyond!

All this talk about "Land of Lies" and Dru is easily believing the "Word on The Block" about the Russians. Monet tells Dru: he will be next in charge and don't do anything stupid without proof. After "the worst shootout I've ever seen", Monet tells Cane she approved Dru's plan to kill the Russian! Unreal!!!!!!!!! And Dru is left with a goofy grin thinking he did great! Such a great plan by the Russians. Well executed. Good Job! Took out one "no name" pallbearer. Honorable mention to the Russian driver putting the SUV in reverse and navigating his way back to the streets as bullets are flying. Good driving skills. But they were caught later by the Feds. But since then, he has done nothing. For some reason, Jenny has Lauren staying at (I guess) her parent's home. The phone Lauren is using has to be landline and that's how Saxe will trace the address. Jenny got approval from her boss, why use her home? Use a government place. Every time Effie goes to the roof, a bird will mess up the camera. Effie will never get caught on video. He keeps doing this, he will be done soon. On the other hand, I think the writers set up that Diana/Salim scene so we can next see Diana go to Whitman and make us think she is turning on her family. She had to get a good night's sleep while all this went down. She never acted on it immediately when she received news of the gun purchase and all the players involved. Lorenzo should have put Zeke's face higher up so no fool can spray paint all over it. Give Zeke blacked out teeth and graffiti all over his face. Diana arrived with flowers and left with the flowers. Didn't even place them by Zeke. She probably got a refund at the flower shop. The show is pushing way too hard to try and convince us Lauren is some valuable CI. She knows nothing. Could we have at least seen how Diana moved drugs on campus. Tariq and Brayden spent a season building their operation and Diana Tejada (not under a close eye due to her last name) gets rid of a brick in less than a week with no help. The way Lorenzo said to Gordo "Give Evelyn my love". I wouldn't be surprised if Lorenzo is sleeping with her. Now Monet has to sleep in a place where she killed Mecca and then she will go back to her home where she killed Whitman. Monet needs to move to a new home. Brayden only confessed to drug dealing. If it was for the murder of Jabari, he is in prison for a while. The show is going to go with the angle "the police/DA was corrupt in the deal with Theo" and blame them. It won't go back to investigate/prosecute Davis. They don't have time for that script. He will but what is going to do about it. I can't see the writers killing off Brayden this season. So, Brayden may have to kill someone to get Cane's approval and off his back. We need to see more of RSJ's power/influence. It's impressive if long time clients withdraw their money based on his decision to not sign with Weston. If he is that powerful, Tate should give him a call. Just one of Effie's dealers at an IVY league school. For her to automatically bring up "Tariq" and "it's not like her", must mean Effie has bigger plans than we know at this time. Does Tariq know she is into girls too?

The mother's last name is Castillo and Frank is Tejada. Not sure why the kids are named after the mom. Correction. Prior to this episode, I have seen two sites (Variety https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/power-book-2-ghost-luna-lauren-velez-season-3-1235240975/ and a Wiki page) mention Frank as Lorenzo's brother. But there was dialogue in the first episode this season where Lorenzo told Franks's wife (Evelyn) "he considered Frank like a brother". Not a real brother. Now I'm going with they aren't related.
