  1. Texas putting the saddle on backwards was hilarious. Thank the Maker those weren't real horses or some of those teammates would have been kicked or bitten. I can safely say I'd've smoked them on that. They're annoying but Justin is maybe worse. Or at least louder. i did like "I thought about playing polo" "I used to wear polo." Sad to see the dancers go - I liked them and TMZ so I guess I'm down to cheering on the reporters, who are competent and no drama. Mom and son on the other hand- yikes. Is that a new rule or has no one crossed the line?
  2. Kelly reminds me of Joan Cusak in Working Girl - absolute ringer. I had no idea about JustFab...hmm... Pretty lousy runway show all around. For one thing, some of them have no idea of what colors go together or what is even pretty. Ashley looked at Tim like she had no idea what he meant about her awful choice. Swapnil putting white and leopard print together, Edmund and that horrible print? Someone needs to had them some color wheels. And did I hear Candice was using Neoprene??? I was sick of that five PRs ago. As someone noted up thread - everyone SIZE 0-2 would look in Edmund's dress.
  3. I can't find it online, because Entertainment Weekly's website is a box of annoyance, but Nolan made the back page "Bullseye" feature in the May 22 issue (Melissa McCarthy cover), close to the middle, pic of GM with the caption "We thought we were done with Revenge - until they teased us with the idea of a Nolan spinoff."
  4. I know I am not a math person but I still cannot figure out how three teams worked out to one figure and two another when they all have taken different amounts of steps and are different heights. Did they finagle the numbers to get there? I can't believe I don't hate any teams and this gimmick I thought would be awful has not been bad. I'm fine with any team winning (and as consolation for putting up with Hayley, Blair can win Survivor if Mike doesn't). I don't mind the Fitbit sponsorship (I have one) and that was a pretty nice prize. If it keeps TAR on, I'll be fine with pretty much anything but a political candidate sponsoring. Wonder if the phones are sponsored?
  5. If Mike, who I initially couldn't stand, doesn't make it to the end then who's left to even marginally like? At least before when it was an unlikeable crowd, there was usually a player. So I guess Tyler? If I had been Shirin, I would have called up memories of Judd and wished for some sharks to take out Dan and Will, who have to be two of the least self aware people ever to play. Carolyn is just smug and I honestly don't know anything about Sierra but if someone who hauls horses around can't outlast a corporate trainer in that IC...
  6. Did JR dance in the end number?I did see Apolo in the crowd. Maybe that's why he was upset? I thought it was really a dud of a show, especially not doing Dance Center or even a survey of the seasons. Then using a song with Chris Brown...
  7. Did they send a Big Brother cast to Survivor by mistake? There's not one person left who I can really get behind, I'm stuck with Shirin and Mike because they're less awful? Does Will not understand the concept of personal attack? Oh, wait, when he's challenged, he gets it...
  8. Can't remember the ep title but it's first season, based on the Mayflower Madam. Ben is along when they search her apartment. Opens a trunk, pulls out a whip: Madam: it's my hope chest Ben: What are you hoping for?
  9. (Quote) think even if I applied to be on the Amazing Race just to find a love connection, and even if I got paired up with Abby Lee Miller, I'd still at least try to win the Million Dollar Prize rather than quitting half- (/quote) Is it wrong that I'd like to see Kurt paired with Abby Lee Miller? She'd have thrown him over the finish line. Actually, Bergen should have traded with Blair - I would have enjoyed Hayley screaming at Kurt.
  10. Honestly, I think you could give some of these teams an iPhone and Sir Jony Ive to help and they still couldn't find places. Free Blair - I'm sure he's thinking that med school/residency was good training for putting up with Hayley. Team Showgirl - she can sing but that bit with the fanny pack was needlessly obnoxious. I'd've cussed them out as I drove away, but then again, never leave your fanny pack is rule #2. Of course, rule #1 is learn to drive stick. I could never tell those two apart, but why didn't the other guy try and drive? or did I miss it? Go Team Sochi.
  11. Bad acting and worse accents. I wish someone had told Malcolm to go ahead and shoot so they didn't have to listen to his cheeseball accent anymore. Plus he had worse henchmen than a Batman villain. Then there's Mama Congressman - seriously, she's excited he's a congressman? Add in a Southern accent that sounds like she watched too much Blanche on Golden Girls and I want the whole storyline gone. And please take Margot along. Seriously he's going to tap Emily's phone? Unless he's got some software from Finch on Person of Interest, I'd bet Nolan has made sure that phone is tap proof. I do have to say that everyone in the show talks in front of the staff, in the open and on phones. Someone bright could figure out what's going on - then again,, it's someone Margot hired so…

Caracas1914, I remember Chris Bowman saying that about Midori Ito and he was on the podium at 89 worlds. What's sad is that most of the women are still relying on triple toe triple toe and Debi Thomas had that as her big trick. I have to vote positively for Ashley's long - I've thought for a long time someone should skate to One Day I'll Fly Away. Now, Jeremy Abbott should skate David Bowie's Nature Boy from the same soundtrack. I finally located "Come Together" in Voronov's program but it is really hard to find - it's after Seal's bloodless "Man's World." I did love Terry and Tara snarking about Phantom. I remember Terry making a comment like that about Carmen a few years ago, and loved his characterization of Plushenko's "greatest hits" as a "compliation of B sides." He's definitely a music fan (the interesting thing is I saw the special on Verne Lundquist and his wife said he's a big music fan so that's why he liked skating).
  13. and it is Point Vincente Lighthouse in Rancho Palos Verdes
  14. Next Friday's Amazing Race ends at the lighthouse from "Harder Than It Looks."

He was over on Golf Channel hosting a LPGA event. I like the vocals in theory but in practice, you get that program by the Russian second finisher, that was a non James Brown version, then two or three other worse songs (unless there's another song called "Come Together" I didn't hear it). Not only did Johnny not comment on Dr Zhivago, he didn't mention Umbrellas of Cherbourg either and he skated to that. Jason Brown needs his pal Arsenio Hall to find him some better music - he's one of my favorites but those programs are a snooze.

Terry Gannon and Tracy Wilson were the commentators - Johnny was on vacation and therefore Tara skipped too. Terry is apparently out next week - maybe some golf thing or could it be basketball - he did a basketball tourney last year for NBC Sports Network.
  17. Okay, does anyone know what happened to Lawrence because he had his collar turned up in EVERY from behind shot, but down when it was a distance shot. The only thing I can think is that he had done something to his neck he needed covered up. It was driving me insane! That nobody would have twigged to the astronomy error is a bit hard to swallow but I wanted Felix's office, it was amazing. The bike riders in my summer program at Oxford said that they would get run off the road a lot. But hey, let's text and bike, shall we? Felix looked like a poor man's Benedict C to me. They better not kill off either of the Chuckle Brothers!
  18. The gamekeeper partner was the dashing filmmaker in the middle of the House of Elliot. So good to see everyone back and now Robbie has a coat like Morse. But I don't know whose decision it was to have Hathaway turn up his collar the whole way through - drove me nuts. I liked Maddox. I could swear those weren't trunks but his underwear? Why would he have trunks with him? But cool info on the drying machines - great idea.
  19. My problem was less with the moon blowing up than, it's 2049 and there's no lights on in Africa or South America for the most part? Yes, Amazon and Sahara and all that but it was obviously current. Guess they spent too much on the moon... You've had the high tide causing the largest natural disaster ever and FLORIDA is still there? (I'm in Florida, we wouldn't be). The last shuttle was, per the script, in a museum and had had the top cut out for kiddie rides, if I heard it right. Which we haven't done so far, and we only have about 30 years to go, so I guess we need to get cracking...If it's the last one, then maybe it is the Enterprise coming to the rescue once again!
  20. I can't even with this show anymore. Sad burlap sack can stay but Angela goes? Sandhya wins AGAIN for an inexplicable design. Angela's skirt is too short but Kristina's - which is the same length - is perfectly short. If the judges are going to be insane, can they at least be consistent in their insanity? Mitchell should have been in the top, and he, Kristina or Emily should have won. ETA: and I want Fade's outfit now. Thanks for the reminder lamb18
  21. They should've have put them on The Chew for a test, I can't imagine siracha would have made it past any of the hosts there. I was waiting for the kids to have a peanut allergy. In any case we got rid of Butcher Babe. At least Sarah managed to actually explain something tasty and easy, as opposed to wrapping up a chicken breast in twine. So is Luca some relative of Giada's? Lenny doesn't start with "so what exactly is savory yogurt and why?" Another year and no one's show I would watch.
  22. Sorry, I'm just floored. Sandhya's was so depressing - she made ugly fabric even uglier. I wanted Char to win. I do have to say it was nice to see everyone finished and mostly good.
