Those are pretty good numbers considering that 1984 didn't have any stars in it, so they probably saved a fortune on the cast and location costs.

I was wondering if they were making fun of the TV show "Dare Me" where a cheerleading coach wrestles control of the squad from a charismatic high school "Queen Bee". Cheryl proves the show won't last to the first commercial break, let alone an entire season.

S01.E11: The Phantom of Bonny Scot
AnimeMania replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Nancy Drew (2019)
I thought Lisbeth revealed she was police a little to early. After the arrest, I thought the Hudson family would be in crisis mode, destroying evidence, letting slip secrets, confiding in their closest associates, etc. -
There were two exabyte discs, the one Jo stole from the robodogs to save Piper from dying and the one Emily sent to Piper to keep her from dying if somebody accidentally told Piper she was a robot.

They should have just moved Agent Brooks to another room in the hospital. But everybody knows the fastest way to recover from a TV gunshot is to walk it off. It was worth my eyeroll for removing a severely injured Agent Brooks from the hospital to see the innovative and hilarious way they sneak him past his fellow FBI agents. Now Agent Brooks wants to be FBI (Female Body Injector). Surprised the show went there, still team Alex. They should really tell us why they split up.

S01.E08: Chapter Eight - Redemption
AnimeMania replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
It seemed to be alive if possible, but the number one priority appeared to be that the baby didn't end up under anyone else's control. The imperials probably think of the baby like a weapon - they want its power, but they really don't want anyone else to have it. If I was taking a guess, they want the baby alive, but since they were able to collect some samples from the the first time they had the baby, they no longer care if he stays alive. -

Martin probably make extensive renovations so that he could enter and exit without anybody realizing he is gone which is great for alibis, soundproofing, hidden rooms, etc. This all could be done while the family is on vacation. Naw, what ya wanna do is put your fingers through the holes and make a fist. That way you can punch him with the entire length of the scissors without even getting close. After ya finish with him, he will be known as the Swiss Cheese Killer.

October Faction in the Media: Secret Communique
AnimeMania replied to Meredith Quill's topic in October Faction [V]
This ten episode series premieres on Netflix January 23, 2020. Based on the IDW comic book series October Faction by Steve Niles and Damien Worm, the show is about the Allan family. Upon moving to a small town in upstate New York, 17-year-old twins, Geoff and Viv (Gabriel Darku and Aurora Burghart) discover that their mild-mannered parents - Fred and Deloris (J. C. MacKenzie and Tamara Taylor) - pretend to be boring insurance sales reps, who hide their identities as globetrotting trained assassins from an ancient, monster-hunting society known as the October Faction. -
I was just waiting for her to grab the gun and drunkenly fire several rounds into the door. I was also waiting for Jessica to use the scissors when he "Here's Johnnyed" his face through the door. It would have been funny if she would have used the scissors to snip open one of his nostrils. You could have gotten 2 Nicholsonisms for the price of one! It would have been better if they showed Malcolm looking at his hand like he is going to smash it and when he brings the hammer down there is a chisel there and he neatly cuts the chain in two. Everybody knows you just dislocate your thumb, no matter how desperate you are. I am not even sure if what he did would even work.

S01.E10: The Mark of the Poisoner's Pearl
AnimeMania replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Nancy Drew (2019)
If the test results are not real, then Owen was probably trying to get someone on his side that would tell he the truth about what happened to the gold coins. -
Yeah, Jake was so fat. How fat was he? He made up a entire row of the Marching Band. Yeah, Jake was so fat. How fat was he? He had to wear his tuba like a necklace.

I hate that this crossover smushed all the Earths, now there are meta-humans, Green Light meta-humans, Doppelgangers from other earths, aliens, and whatever is going on with the DC Universe streaming shows all in the same world. So did Kara really say that Brainy's mama put that planet in a jar because his father didn't love her or was I extra extrapolating. So Lex said all the Kasnia stuff happened, but nobody hated him for it. What about the Red Sun stuff, just water under the bridge? The stupid planet in a bottle stuff hurt my brain, it was so stupid. If they are so connected why couldn't they sense which Brainy was killing the others? Why were the witches so willing to open the bottle one second, then thinking this is the stupidest idea they have ever heard the next second?

I thought it was interesting that the alien's teeth looked like if you took your teeth, turned them upside down, and put them back in your mouth. I am surprised that the confiscated alien blaster wasn't used for their defense. Not the bestest, but I think it hit all the points it was aiming at.
