SEASON FINALE It seemed to only be closed by a chain, I thought they had welded it shut. I am glad that Susan said don't touch it, it's hot. Sometimes shows forget that point. If the Hellmouth was supposed to always remain open, why did someone build it with a lid? I thought Luke might not have been Luke, but I guess he just lost all his ghostly friends. I guess that will make Megan happy to have a depressed, grumpy, normal boyfriend. Maybe Megan is gone for good since it doesn't seem like Luke will be calling her anytime soon. My feelings, Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Megan! I guess August did send that text. Who would go on vacation and leave a bunch of strangers in their house? It would have made more sense if they waited for him to leave and then picked the lock.

I don't think that Isabel was related to either of the Coldwaters. That was just the first thing that popped into Rachel's head as to why this stranger was in their house. Not quite, Roarke handed Isabel a letter of introduction when the fantasy first started.

What a load of Horse Poopies, Rory comes in and tries to hog all of Chloe's love by sending Lucifer away and then she ruins Chloe's death by telling her she has to die alone. Chloe had to have told everybody not to show up for her death or else her daughter might cause the Apocalypse or something worst, because the entirety of Season 6 was about everybody being there for their friends and family. What happened to all of Lucifer's money since Chloe died in a small house all alone, without even having a nurse to take care of her. Then Rory leaves her to go Time Traveling right before her death, leaving Chloe to die completely alone, until Rory pops back up seconds before her death. Rory is an extremely needy "half-person/half-Angel" and the show would have been better if she never existed. Lucifer could have figured out that he had the power to actually redeem hell bound souls by giving them advice that starts with "A wise woman once told me".

I am so disappointed in Dan's selfishness to choose that moment to go into the light. He was inside the body of a deadly killer who was standing right next to his daughter. If Le Mec was conscious the whole time or could hear Dan's thoughts, that could be knowledge he could use against Dan's family and friends. Dan could have held out long enough to take Le Mec back to prison or at least have him identified and subdued so that he could be arrested. Dan not making sure that Le Mec was arrested and returned to prison should be Dan's greatest regret. But I guess that would have ruined the next episode.

S01.E06: What If... Killmonger Rescued Tony Stark?
AnimeMania replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in What If...?
What was not realistic about it? It just seemed like a lot of what happened was left to chance. The shotgun blast through the car could have killed Tony Stark. Black Panther might not have show up or might have had some type of ear protection. The robots might have been able to defeat the Wakanda warriors since Killmonger has no idea what their strength or numbers were. -
The Premise S01.E02: Moment of Silence Starring: Jon Bernthal, Boyd Holbrook, Beau Bridges, and Amy Landecker After losing his daughter to gun violence, a grieving father pursues a new job as a PR director at the National Gun Lobby, where he's befriended by a coworker who starts to suspect the man's motives may be far more dangerous than they seem. Air date: Sept. 16, 2021 I could see what they were going for here as irony, but again nothing about it was funny, so can it be classified as a comedy, at best a satire. The Premise S01.E03: The Ballad of Jesse Wheeler Starring: Lucas Hedges, Kaitlyn Dever, O'Shea Jackson Jr., George Wallace, Ed Asner, Brendan Scanell, and Grace Song A pop megastar returns to his high school to pledge a donation to build a new library, but instead promises to have sex with the school's valedictorian as an academic achievement prize. The promise inspires the disillusioned Abbi along with the rest of the student body, while the star's manager and the school's principal desperately try to walk back the promise. Air date: Sept. 23, 2021

The Premise S01.E01: Social Justice Sex Tape Starring: Ben Platt, Ayo Edebiri, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jermaine Fowler, and Melissa Saint-Amand When a white, woke, twenty-something ally to social justice causes discovers video evidence of a disputed police incident in the background of his highly embarrassing sex tape, a savvy young lawyer and her mentor strategize on how to best use the tape and witness to save an innocent man from prison. Air date: Sept. 16, 2021 The show is a comedy that is not very funny. It is trying to make a comment about our society by taking situations to an extreme. Unfortunately I could not imagine that that scenario would ever occur the way it was depicted on the show. I am not sure that even the tattoo or weird sex moves and noises would earn the guy much internet ridicule. In real life the man would have been judged by the quality of the women he was sleeping with and everybody involved agreed they were "out of his league" so he would have been applauded for that. The show would have been funnier if the lawyer tried to hide the fact that this new evidence was coming from a "sex tape" through an extreme close up of the pertinent incident and the lawyers had to reveal more and more of the sex tape as the trial went along. This could have included a large number of video analyzers trying to prove whether the video was a deep fake and forcing the two sexual participants to act out scenes from the tape in court in order to make sure all the angles and moles of their bodies are correct. When do we know all "reasonable doubt" has been eliminated, how far will lawyers go to win a case, how invasive can you go into a witness' life to prove whether they are credible or not, and how much must a jury endure to reach a fair verdict.

Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol - General Discussion
AnimeMania replied to AnimeMania's topic in Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol
The Lost Symbol: S01.E01: As Above, So Below I liked it, they could have slowed down a little and given us more of a cultural, historical, monumental, and philosophical lecture/tour of the thought processes that they are using to decipher the puzzles. This is a TV show so they can spend a lot more time "explaining the rationale" of their choices, since that is "the hook" they are using to distinguish themselves from other shows and draw in their target audience. There is no need to rush pass all the great statues, artwork, iconography, and architecture that is layered with multiple meaning when viewed through different lenses. This should have been a a show that gives us a feast of knowledge and visually stunning artwork and locations, but instead rushes through what I think are the raison d'etre for the show's existence because they added a ticking "human life" clock which gives the show a rushed, panicky, feel which causes conflict with the intellectual portions of the show. It would have been better not to show the professor's state since it creates the feeling of "go faster", when you really want the show to "slow down" and "show your work". The worst part of the episode was the Thanksgiving Dinner, instead of making me think they were having a spirited intellectual discussion amongst the greatest thinkers of our society, I felt it was a group of pompous people set in their ways, bored with being there, belittling each others views and opinions. It did not endear me to anyone gathered at the table, but it did make me wonder what happened to Professor Solomon's wife. The show doesn't give you any leeway to speculate where the story might lead you, you just have to accept being lead by the nose to your next destination. The only thing I know for sure is that Katherine Solomon's "pseudoscience studies" is going to be extremely important in solving this mystery.
