I was at the WTC site last year. It was a bit shocking to see the guides and volunteers have to go tell people that this is a memorial and they needed to treat it as a sacred space. I sat there for quite a bit and people taking smiling selfies and the like really shook me. I was a kid at the time and the city I grew up in was listed as a potential target. We changed our lives quite a bit because of it. We still see the effects of 9/11 to this day. I don't think we will ever go back to carefree days pre-9/11.

I'm not puzzled by his family's hospitality to Jenny whatsoever. This is with the disclaimer I've just started watching 90DF and while I'm not Indian, have a bit of insight from my former classmates. Parents will meet a non-Indian girlfriend and be very welcoming and hospitable because that's who they are. Meeting the parents doesn't have the same connotations it does in western culture. A lot of women fail to recognize this. A lot of women get burned when they find out their Indian boyfriend has a fiancee waiting for them back home and the match has been arranged for quite a while. "But I met his parents! It must be serious!" No darling, they were being nice. It is not indicative of their approval of you as a potential spouse, just that they are being nice. Now for some people there are ulterior motives but we won't get into that. I would have to look into Sumit and his family background but if he was any sort of "catch" he would have been able to snag a wife from a good family. As for his wife and Sumit leading a double life? She would be told to grin and bear it. That would be it.

She was the one that snitched on Josh when it came to Joy. Didn't Joy go to Jill first and then Jill went to MOTY and JB? That's a pretty heavy burden to carry as a teenager. Especially since her parents did sweet fuck all about it except minimize the abuse. Girl has needed therapy for years. She grew up in a home where emotions were repressed to begin with. Throw in a culture where failure to launch is something to ascribe to rather than something to avoid and you have disaster. Jill is going through what we all went through as kids, trying to figure out what we like/dislike and who we are. Most of us weren't married to the first man that showed interest and got pregnant on the first try while we were in the process of self discovery though. My advice to Jill would be to get off the internets and into therapy with a qualified counselor. But we all know that won't happen. She will just get her tongue pierced or something.

100% on Jazz. That being said, the current political and social climate does make me wary. There are too many people in this world that share his opinions. That and in the law world, as long as your personal life doesn't get in the way of your practice you can be the biggest bigoted asshole in the world outside of work. Because your abilities and skill is what counts in the courtroom. If Dullard is even a moderately decent lawyer then none of this matters. He will land a job regardless because firms care if you bring money in. If he's the real life equivalent of Lionel Hutz, then he's in a bit of a pickle. Go to Sephora and find someone who is wearing foundation properly show you. I use the little sponges to apply foundation evenly but my foundation tended to be on the heavy side because of performing for several years.
