That makes sense. I couldn't find the original source but "a TLC insider" when I was looking for the salaries of other TLC shows. Didn't the Jeubs only get $500 or something plus free food? I couldn't find that one. I'm blanking on this. At one point there were no ads during Counting On, correct? I cannot remember. I think there are a lot of freebies that are built into the "salary" so to speak. The honeymoons, the Europe and Asia trips the entire family took for the show, those activities they do during each episode. TLC probably pays for some of it or gets a lot of it comp'd from various sources. Which is part of the reason I think we haven't seen repeat honeymoon destinations nor have we seen any of the newlyweds go to the UK, Ireland, Israel, Japan, or China. Joy and Austin went to Israel after Switzerland but it wasn't filmed.

The 25K-40K comes from a "TLC insider" who says the TLC families get paid 10% of the show's budget per episode. They gave an estimate of 250K-400K to produce an episode. The salaries of all the other TLC families are said to be that too. I don't think we will know for sure until one of the kidlets attempts to sue for having their entire life filmed. Just thinking about what other TLC shows pay, it gives me pause that the contract is that high. I think their "wealth" comes from other sources. I have a feeling JB and Meech purposely kept their kids food insecure and dressed in hand-me-downs for their own financial security as well.

I'd be surprised if TLC is paying 25K per episode to the Duggars. 90 Day Fiance couples get 1000-1500 per episode and 2500 for showing up for the tell all. The Duggars would be making more in an episode than a couple over an entire season of 90DF. The 90DF franchise is TLC's cash cow at the moment. Maybe at the peak of 19 Kids and Counting they were pulling in that amount but TLC seems to be cheap.

As for Jinger's hair that reminds me when Ariana Grande was blonde and had those awful extensions. Yikes. Jinger, Ariana couldn't pull it off. Take a page out of her book and go back to brunette.

Not yet. Gideon is older than Felicity and is currently the "oldest" only among the Duggar grandchildren, although that is more because of circumstance. He'll be 2 at the end of February.

I imagine Jenni and Jordyn hear that a lot. I actually feel bad for this kid. Once Counting On ends (eventually it will), she will still be expected to perform for the camera. Unless Jill is pregnant right now, Sam is going to be the first Duggar grandchild to make it to 3 years old without a younger sibling. I doubt Jill is pregnant. Congratulations Sam on breaking a Duggar record?

It reminds me of the original actresses that played Lily on Modern Family. Their bewildered and not amused faces worked within the context of the show. Their mom had them "retire" because they weren't enjoying acting. It is painfully apparent watching old episodes that the twins were not happy being on camera. Felicity really isn't enjoying any of it. The Vuolos need to put down the camera and let her be a toddler.

I'm still holding out for Pilot Duggar. Constable Duggar will work too. It's not like the Duggar offspring are separate beings from their parents anyway. Would be horrid to have a phobia of flying and be born to these two.

JD takes the pilot thing waaaaaaaaaay too far. Being a pilot is not a personality trait. That being said if they don't go with something aviation related for the first time in their entire relationship I will be surprised. It took the third time to stop with named after theologians with the Seewalds. Ivy Jane's middle name being after Lady Jane Grey is too much of a stretch. They just like the sound of Ivy Jane. It's strange how only the Smuggars chose a letter but most of the couples attempted (or are attempting) a theme.

I think they've caught on Max and Cece are the two most likeable people this franchise has had in quite a while. Click$!

It's rare jurisdictions deal with FOIA requests on this scale. Normally it is "I was in a car crash, please send me the police report" kind of requests. I'm very doubtful any of the people involved were trained to deal with this sort of FOIA request and the tabloids (not just InTouch) know it. I'm sorting through some data I was able to get through an FOIA request and there are things that you think would be retracted but weren't. Privacy laws are woefully behind the times.
