Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp

It was the kids of Austin's sisters. One is visiting from out of state. #PhysicalDistancing4theWin -
Going to need some serious sedation or copious amounts of Ativan to get through that.

The hardest part is for many, quarantining and self isolating is a luxury. As someone said to me last week, this pandemic really highlights our poorly our system sets people up to fail without a living wage. There are people who are truly being selfish. You don't need to go to church. If there is a God, he's fine with it. You don't need to go browse the stores or order everything you can off Amazon because you are bored. Yet there are people who are barely living paycheck to paycheck. The way we treat our working class is shameful. We tell them to get a real job but don't offer them another way out. There are so many people who can't afford to go without work and/or lose their health insurance. And no one will learn any lessons after this. Universal healthcare will be still a pipe dream and the idea of a living wage for all will be scoffed at. I hope I'm wrong but we seem to be going back into "not muh taxpayer dollars" territory worldwide.

It's so strange to me because their parents lived through the Great Depression and WWII. Both of my parents had grandfathers who served in WWI. You'd think there would be some "Well the generations before me dealt with something of this magnitude..." If I ever hear complaints about my generation again.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

None of them will get sick! Jesus will fight the virus and protect them!!! I didn't expect anything less from the Duggars. The list of sensible things they have ever done takes less time to read out loud than reading a haiku out loud. -
The only thing that will stop him is if he is even slightly inconvenienced when going about his routine. They are doing physical distancing at the grocery store, but most people back home are being sensible and there is no line to get in. If there was a line to get in, by golly he would never go near that store again. Ever. That store is too much of a hassle. It's like dealing with a toddler who has car keys. My sister will find a way. It's finding something that will even so slightly bother him that he will stop doing it. I do lay the blame on my mom for letting him be a man-child though. 40+ years of marriage and she's realizing now she has to remind him to do simple tasks? I've watched it my entire life! *Pikachu shocked face*

My father thinks it is overblown. He's the one going to the grocery store every single night, even if he doesn't need anything. He's been fine all these years not washing his hands, why start now? I don't think it is going to be the COVID-19 that gets him. I think my sister is actually going to strangle him in his sleep.

My condolences @ChiCricket

Most content creators get paid a certain amount from ad revenue on YouTube. It's been a while so I can't remember if it is through Google Ad Sense or not. That being said, it is a pittance. Most content creators have gone to Patreon and then upload their videos to YouTube 2-3 days later. If you have a good following you can make a decent go from a Patreon account. Lindsay, who does royalty videos, and Todd in the Shadows are two that come to mind. I didn't get any ads during Katie Joy's videos on my phone but I sure do with Lindsay and Todd's. Hmmmm...

Yes. Now it is down to three people who were involved with the release of the documents and redacting. That one is easy to find on Google... Ugh...

I feel so drained the past few days. I know this will end but it feels like it has been an eternity already. It's weird I don't feel guilty not marking assignments ASAP. Normally I would mark them as soon as I could as fast as I could. I got permission after this assignment, as long as they completed all assignments and handed in everything on time, they can take their grade as is. There will be a take home final available if they so choose but at this point I'm exhausted. That and I do not want to be marking finals 6-7 months from now if I made it mandatory. I've got other projects to keep me going through work. I'm trying to focus my energy on getting them done and not sitting around on Reddit refreshing for news. It is hard though. I feel like I'm watching a car crash at various speeds. I think I need to re-watch all of 90 Day Fiance now. Or something.

Considering how YouTube is treating its content creators these days, it probably was a waste of her time to drag it out as much as she did. Wait until the Duggars find out about Patreon!

She also mentioned that Derick said Jill wanted to stop doing the show when the In Touch reports were released but were told they were legally obliged to keep going. It was so effing painful to hear her sloooooooooooooooooowly recite everything we snarkers know already. Yes Josh touched his sisters. Yes the Oprah staffer sent in the tip. Yes the lawsuit against the three individuals in Springdale is still ongoing. Get to the point. It does make me wonder. Apparently their relationship suffered under the strain of being filmed. But their entire relationship was broadcast to the world up until they were voted off the island. How do they have a comparison point?

Screw it. I can only listen to this drunk. It's painful. Brb.

I cannot believe I am about to watch these... But here we are.

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp

The video on TLC where she was glad to finally be Mrs. Austin Forsyth was cringe-worthy. I guess she doesn't pay attention to the media when they still refer to her as Joy Duggar. -
My mom told me to keep calm, social distance, and work on flattening the curve the other day. She's not entirely sure what flattening the curve means. I am calling her every day since I made the decision to stay put rather than go back home. I allot myself at least an hour playing Sudoku while she rants about every single member of the household individually. That includes every pet as well. It is going to be a long few months... At least I know they are safe. My sister moved back in with them for the duration of the outbreak. She can be stone cold and will put her foot down with both of them when they start being ridiculous about not seeking medical attention.

I have a few box dye kits that are "unnatural colors". The problem is I don't have the adequate showerhead to rinse the dye off. 😭 I will decide in a week if I use them or not. It might be my last shot at funky hair color for a few years.

It's all just a wait and see game with this bunch. Who continues to play this like it is Pokemon? Who finally gives in? We won't know for awhile. All we know for sure is that JB and Meech aren't going to be around forever. Neither will the TLC money. And if most of them think that they will get the same level of support from their parents that Smuggar and his family has, they all better think twice. I fully expect the TTH to go to Smugs and Anna, even if they are surpassed by JoKen and the Forsyths in number of children. Another thing I fully expect. A full out fight among the 19 children once JB and Michelle pass away over who gets what. Those kids were played against each other big time. It is going to be one ugly fight. -
Building management sent out a notice on what social distancing exactly entails today. They explicitly stated no parties and no having people over. FaceTime or Skype your friends. I'm currently listening to a party. 😒 These are the same people begging our landlord for a rent freeze. I'm getting increasingly annoyed that they want help but seemingly do not want to take any measures to help the general population. I'm pretty sure our generation would have never survived the sacrifices many people had to make during WWII. "But muh video game. Muh chai frap".
