  1. Or maybe Nikki likes bougie coffee (I speak because I resemble that remark!).
  2. I'm thinking that they probably sealed it within an inch of its life (or at least that's my hope).
  3. I think for her aesthetic she isn't bad and she does appear to be learning but it is pretty funny how few credentials people have that get their own show. I guess looking good on the camera helps a lot (although I want to yank that nose ring out and buy her some jeans that aren't skin tight and tattered).
  4. I agree - not to mention that despite the looseness of his cream I just thought his dessert sounded like it would taste delicious. I'm rooting for Steven.
  5. I would have picked the Harrell House just for the screened in front porch but I wasn't the one doing the picking! I actually thought this was one of Erin's nicest, most cohesive designs. Not particularly my taste but altogether I thought the house turned out nicely (although not a fan of the wood back splashes and definitely not a fan of the countertop going up behind the stove - but again - not my house!). The front of the house looked really nice with the upgraded landscaping and shutters and the back patio really seemed to suit their family. Moving the laundry room was definitely the right choice.
  6. Have they ever had guest judges on this show? I think most knew they were referring to Coachella and who cares whether they called it by name or not..LOL! Some of their "connections" are kind of silly.
  7. When my house was being remodeled for sale LVP was put in the downstairs and I loved it so much I almost kept the house!
  8. Looks like they are trying to shake up the designs this season so that she doesn't look like a one trick pony.
  9. I agree that it was Kate's night to go but would have preferred to see Robert exit the kitchen. He just doesn't resonate with me. Odd isn't it - last week they were both on top, this week they were both on the bottom.
  10. Makes sense - ice cream would have melted quickly beside the pool....LOL.
  11. In the meantime I've enjoyed seeing the beautiful vistas of Tuscany and learning a lot about cheese...LOL.
  12. I have wondered about that too although on YouTube TV they still preview it like it is a new show. It is unfortunate because it was a really good show.
  13. Speaking of Nancy, I thought her hair looked very nice this episode.
  14. If they had extended the "ribbons" on the maypoles to the wreaths it might have looked more like its purpose. Alex at least used fondant to make actual strips instead of just slapping something on it.
  15. I was especially touched with the man who said when they moved into the projects that it was the first time his family had ever had hot running water. When we think "projects" it brings such a negative image, but in this case it appears to have improved (at least initially) the lives of the people who moved into these units.
  16. If the restaurant you are referring to is the one in The Woodshed it has been up and running for several years and seems to be doing pretty well and I've never heard anything bad about it. The menu appears to be a lot of Maine-specific dishes (i.e., seafood) so it isn't in my wheelhouse but I am on a Facebook page run by Dave Emith, among others, and people are very happy with both their experience at the restaurant and in the retail shop. I have never seen Ashley's resume so I have no clue as to her qualifications. We each have our own concepts of style - her's is not exactly mine but she's not designing for me!
  17. Jack is one of my favorite characters on the show and I truly hope - especially with the show ending - that they give him a win on whatever his future holds...for goodness sakes the guy deserves it! True he has brought a lot of his troubles on himself but he is at heart such a sweet and loving guy.
  18. Perhaps the master suite concept is because these are also private homes used for private use on occasion. No expertise here, just a guess.

    Season 4

I agree about that contestant (Karen?). She definitely marches to the beat of a different drummer.
  20. For some reason she said it was from the blood oranges...I'm sure it wasn't mold (like they mentioned) unless she was provided with bad ingredients.
  21. Anna's tsunami was her downfall, but I did get a bit confused by them complaining that all they could taste in her cake was orange when THAT WAS THE FLAVOR SHE WAS ASSIGNED!

    Season 4

Oh that makes me sad because I have only watched the first two episodes and I fear the person who is the most smug and arrogant is the one who wins...and as you said - probably deserved but not enjoyable.
  23. Maybe she just really isn't good at math? I understand that you are saying that she doesn't need to verbalize it but not everybody can be good at everything. Perhaps a truer statement would be to say that she doesn't care about having to do the calculations required, which indicates a disinterest as opposed to an inability?
  24. I was a little let down that they reduced the water feature from a pond to a dribble although I am sure for practical reasons that was the best decision, and also was there any kind of barrier up around the now empty concrete pit to prevent little ones from tumbling in? Otherwise I thought it was a really cool room. Moving the front door was definitely the right move. Erin really did understand the direction the homeowners wanted to go and kept as much of the original and uniqueness of the home (for example the forged handles in the kitchen).
  25. Oh most definitely true...the ins and outs of these relationships have baffled me for years.
