  1. Our county also offers the once-monthly hazardous material drop off (it's at the county landfill site), BUT, with electronics & TV's, it's a different drop-off point. When last I called, they charge $1 dollar per diagonal inch to dispose of a television. Now I ask you...how many are going to pay that, now that 50" and larger screens have become the norm? I would like to see some brain power used on a better option for that.
  2. I'm new to Netflix, but itsn't it fairly standard that they get TV episodes at least a year after they debut on network?
  3. Oohh okay. I call it hazard pay, lol. Same/same. Amen to that!
  4. Yes, I think you're right. I thought Sonja got the townhouse in the divorce, not by purchasing it herself, but maybe she used the proceeds of the divorce to buy it? Anyway, no matter. She apparently soon became incapable of caring for it properly, either due to financial strain, or ineptitude, or both. Seems like it either needs more work than she can underwrite, or she is so deluded as to not be willing to price it appropriately for an as-is sale. I remain convinced that she's intellectually ... challenged.
  5. With the way life has been going for the last decade or so, swearing is the only thing keeping me sane, lol. Assuming facts not in evidence. 😏
  6. Good point. Makes you think you should take a black Sharpie and mark a big black 'X' across the top of the pillow, then return it because it had a big black 'X' across the top. <shifty>
  7. Dorinda has always acted like she's some sort of double secret agent of fairness and legality. It's laughable. I would have thought her happy to have Tinsley gone; one less limelight thief. She's no friend. Just because she professes to being a good friend, and a good person, well, we know better. We all have the receipts on those points.
  8. Thanks, I do, good to know. But still, that whole return thing...I'm a notorious non-returner. <guilt*shame>
  9. I'm with y'all ^ on the perpetual pillow pursuance. My first "My Pillow" purchase seemed good, but with time, no. The most success I've had in the past 10 years was with a $5 pillow that was sold at a department store where I worked during the recession. Bastards discontinued them. Then they went broke and closed. Served them right. Tried an expensive one recommended for side sleepers on another thread by several people, and also a 'no' for me. It's a constant battle.
  10. lol I noticed that too, but couldn't make out what she said.
  11. Yes, but... She wasn't this way until maybe last season, or very late in the season before that. Not to say that her bereavement couldn't have kicked in late I guess, but I don't think it explains her incredibly odd aversion to all things Tinsley.
  12. And let's not forget that the noun bitch by definition is a female animal, like a dog, fox, etc. Other than in animal husbandry circles, it is a word that is exactly never used as flattery.
  13. If I may add glottal stop to the list. I don't care if it has been around since Jesus was a foot soldier as someone on one of these threads told me, it's annoying and I'd like it gone. I'm not talking about certain British dialects, in which it seems to be organic, I'm talking about the not-so-organic wearers of buh-in front, cah-in shirts, who like to sip swee-inned tea by the glass. Just kill me now.
  14. Yes. Thought I had seen that acronym used here, so I didn't spell it out. Sorry.
  15. Well, okay, but not in this case. There actually was a savings in the 2/$5.
  16. Pet peeve for today (I'll hold it to one) - When the store has a twofer sale, but doesn't have enough inventory for you to purchase in twos. Today it was Walgreen's/Fuji water, 1.5 liter, 2/$5. Now I normally wouldn't splurge on Fiji water, but I was feeling particularly entitled (my mother having yet more issues at the LCF), so I was going to pull the trigger on a pair of Fiji waters. They had one. One bottle on the shelf. Even checked the cold drink cooler - nada. Take it to check out, whereby I'm told that since there was a higher price showing if only buying one, they wouldn't be able to honor the lower, twofer price. I promptly told them to take it off my order, then explained how ridiculous it was to annoy a customer over 79 cents, or whatever the savings was, because their procurement department couldn't even manage to get them enough to last to the end of the sale (tomorrow). I of course was met with blank, clueless, blinking stares by the now-two employees that it took to make the decision NOT to honor the spirit of the sale, in the interest of goodwill, during a pandemic, on a Wednesday.
  17. Just recently started watching Poldark. Spotted Sally Dexter as Mrs. Chwnoweth. Am I all sorts of crazy to see an older, poorly reconstructed Countess de Lesseps here?
  18. I remember thinking when that comment was made, "oh boy, I'll bet she wishes she could leave that little gem on the cutting room floor". Orrr, she is as devoid of self-awareness as she consistantly reminds us that she is.
  19. Are exit interviews not a thing anymore? If they are, are people just too afraid to be honest? I suppose you would be blackballed or labeled as a troublemaker.
