  1. My Onyx is perpetually intrigued by the cold box. If she's in the vicinity when the door is opened, she simply must put her sniffer in hyper mode, sometimes raising up on the lowest shelf to further investigate. Same fridge, same food stuffs, same cat, same game, 15 years+.
  2. Never heard of them, and now I've scratched New England from my list of potential retirement locales, lol.
  3. Wonder when this guy's romantic exploits will stop being a thing.
  4. I feed all the critters. Squirrels have to eat too! lol
  5. I clicked on the ^Jane Withers link above, and scrolled to the Josephine The Plumber ad video. I noticed a familiar co-star. Do you recognize him?
  6. I love what she said, and that she had the chutzpah to say it. I suspect that her assessments are dead on.
  7. It's merely a trendy way of saying "I just found out". That's all, that's it.
  8. I have always fed them, have about 7 feeders plus bird baths, and haven't spotted any sick or dead birds either. I'm going to wait until September to put them back out.
  9. I am in Indiana and we have been dealing with this since June, and many states east of us and along the eastern seaboard have been even earlier than that. A couple days ago, the Indiana DNR announced that most Indiana counties can again resume feeding. I don't share this as an endorsement for everyone to do so, but just for information. I would connect with your state's DNR, either on social media or through their website to stay updated on your location. The confounding thing is that they still haven't been able to identify the problem. Lots of theories floating around, but nothing concrete. 76_counties_can_resume_feeding_birds
  10. It is intentional. My sis sells tv/radio advertising. It's all a big psychological game. She and I can't discuss her work as it repulses me, lol.
  11. Exactly how I feel about pretty much every single one of these post-offense mea culpas. There's a reason people have publicists/public relations gurus at the ready. These sort of pronouncements have become the norm in our society. Whether or not they should be is a debate I'm not up for.
  12. So maybe there is nothing to that then. Must be my epic carbon dioxide lol. They're particularly bad here, as we had an extremely wet June/July. I've got impressive fungi growing in my lawn too.
  13. I have been a mosquito magnet for my entire, considerable existence. Fair-skinned, blue-eyed, redhead. Someone once said there was something to all of that, re bugs. Here I just thought it made me a natural-born bitch. I've also read that mosquitos are drawn to carbon dioxide (that's the stuff we exhale, right?), so guess I'll get tanned up, color my hair, buy some brown contact lenses, and hold my breath. But I'll still be a bitch.
  14. All I can say @Bastet, is ^ditto^. Play hard over there Chester. You'll never be hungry, scared, or in pain again. There will never be fireworks, thunderstorms, or annoying dogs (just fun ones) ever. Your people back here will remember you fondly, until you meet again~
