  1. Yay! No more Erica singing. Funny enough is that my mom's items she refuses to give up are Christmas decorations she had when we were kids. It seems like Christmas grows each year when she doesn't give away one item that is Christmas or her mother's furniture. Understandable. Always great to see Jonathan Schmock as the auctioneer in this episode.
  2. It was in competition with A Star Is Born. I, for one, thought this was much better than that movie. I like Bradley Cooper, but I can never warm up to Lady Gaga. I know everybody was praising that film, but I thought it was nothing special. It's like me with Titanic. This movie was much better and l wish the critics were generous to everyone involved in this film. Possibly a Golden Globe Award to Rami? Just a thought.
  3. The look of Brown's face said it all. The best wtf look ever.
  4. At least there was a glimmer of hope with the Democratic Party taking the House. I could have sworn John would have been over Melania's role as First Lady, but I guess that would have been too much given the topic on authoritarianism. Probably next season?
  5. Principal Jessica?!?!? Does she not realize the consequences it will have on Eddie if she does that? Teacher...okay. But Principal....no. Find another career goal, Jessica. As for Chelsea Crisp looking orange, does somebody in the makeup department hate her or did she overslept in a tanning bed? She was looking better this season, but that look was a no. I still like Honey's husband. I must admit, I did crack up at the Irish joke when the pregnancy was announced. My mom caught on before the announcement of Honey's pregnancy.
  6. Phil Lamarr? Does awesome voice impressions.
  7. That scene from Ghosts Can't Do It between Trump and Bo Derek was possibly the most disturbing moment in bad movie history. Well, that whole movie was bad, anyway. And you can't say that was fake news.
  8. After this biopic, I think a Prince biopic would be awesome. I just don't know who could play him. Prince always had a distinct look. His former lovers, eccentric behavior, issues with his music being downloaded, and all the rest. He was a very talented, but difficult man to work with. Worked nonstop hours throughout his whole life.
  9. I loved John's positivity on the Democratic outcome. So much better than Bill Maher's typical gloom and doom situation.
  10. And Sacha Cohen had that role, but Brian May and others did not like his take Freddie. Cohen wanted the wild sex, drugs, and rock n' roll side of Mercury. That's the reason why Rami got the part. Rami is a huge fan of Queen and he respected Freddie as to who he was.
  11. Ming-Na Wen still looks smoking hot, even at age 54. The woman has it all.
  12. Even Beverly's friends had every right to be concerned about Adam. I mean, toys at age 16? Sounds strange. I can't blame them for being uncomfortable. I know everything is a lesson in this series, but that was one lesson that should put the blame solely on Adam only. No one else. He should not have gotten off easily.
  13. I was more pissed off at Adam than Erica in this episode. Total dick move, Adam. That is your father's stamps. And I had to side with Beverly's friends. They were right. A 16 or 17 year old kid would be deemed too old for toys. Video games, yes. But toys....kids outgrow that by the time they are 13. Adam was in the wrong the whole episode.
  14. I was shocked no story of Fleetwood Mac every came to mind. That would have been so good. Rami should win a Golden Globe Award. He was that good. And probably a Duran Duran bio is not a good idea. Given that both band members are tight lipped about drama, it would probably never be greenlighted due to the original 3 members say. So I got that point. Can't win both ways. I always thought Duran Duran was rather tamed when it came to drama. I mean, they were sometimes at fault, but above all they kept their lives private throughout the years. Such a shame we will not see a biopic on them. Kiss and Fleetwood Mac...well, their drama was well documented. I could see Hollywood eyeing on those bands.
  15. Taron Egerton as Elton John? Is anybody looking forward to the Rocket Man biopic? The trailer seemed interesting.
  16. I think you might have a point and you know the Elton John biopic is next year so we will have to see how that turns out. Too bad a Duran Duran movie won't be in the works. I could see either Freddie Highmore or Harry Styles as John Taylor. Not sure about Harry, though. I remember Harry saying that he was influenced by Duran Duran when he was part of One Direction. I know Freddie would dedicate every character to heart and become the character, but he has the Good Doctor so his schedule must be full. I did like the small clip of I Want To Break Free where the bands in drag at the beginning. That was ingenious! Verbatim to everything.
  17. Man, this was great. Rami killed it. I did get teary-eyed about the AIDS scene because it makes me think of my uncle being succumbed to that disease in 1989. It was awesome, though. Okay, we are having an Elton John bio in the near future. How about a Duran Duran or David Bowie bio? That would be neat. And who played Bob Geldoff? That was perfect casting. How eerily similar was that Queen video "I Want To Break Free"? It looked like the exact same video verbatim. That was excellent.
  18. Nintendo64! Yeah... My mom is getting distracted by Constance Wu's wig and I tried to explain she did Crazy Rich Asians. She always said the hairstylist could have put a little effort into making her wig a little realistic and I just shrugged my shoulders. I have seen her in interviews where her hair looked better than the one from FOB. She is really an attractive woman, but I remember last season her hair didn't look that fake. I think it is the wig that makes her face so gaunt. Not that I care. Well, anyway, Eddie's friends are getting tall. They just as tall as him. Still, it is cool to see them again. How do you think they are going to close the show when it ends? At the Y2K? It is already 1998 and we still two years away from 2000.
  19. I right away said "Voyagers" when I saw that clip of Meeno Pulce on that short-lived 80s show. I could not believe they put such an obscure 80s show in this movie. Neat.
  20. Oh, Erica. That was just plain wrong on your part what you did to manipulate your boyfriend like that. He deserved better.
  21. I must admit, I was laughing at the WWE ads with the demonic voice announcer. Sue me. I thought that was funny.
  22. I thought it was awesome to have Robert Englund revive his Freddy role.
  23. Not liking this new Jackie replacement. She is very wooden and distracts the flow of the series. I miss the old Jackie still.
  24. Georgie from the recent It movie and Piper from OITNB? Well, I know what my sister will be watching on February 8.
  25. That part was well done. This was my favorite episode, along with the Mulder/Skully bit. A little nitpick: Britney's popularity wasn't in 1998, but early-mid 1999. She did release Hit Me, Baby...One Time in October of 1998, but I remember her popular year was 1999, so the writers were a little too quick on that. Too bad. Fresh off The Boat could have made a nice segment about overbearing mothers being up in arms against that look that Britney had in 1999. You know, midriff shirt, short skirt, and everything that made the soccer moms up in arms against Britney Spears. I would love too see how Jessica would have took Britney's look. It was really tamed in those early years of Britney where every mother was up in arms against Britney's slutty look.
