Honestly, I'm impressed that they didn't leave Lucille right outside the cell door waiting for Negan's inevitable escape.
-
yay! They're visiting Oceanside! Oceanside loves visits from Rick!
-
Let Negan do the eulogy. He brought tears to my eyes when Fat Joey died.

That zombie wasn't even trying to attack the loud obvious motorcyclist. it was just wandering across the road right next to him making "Feh!" noises like a grumpy old man. Wait, did Daryl just kill a grumpy old man who was disguised as a zombie?

Rick's war on glass continues. Life might have turned out a bit easier if those spiders were radioactive.

She also doesn't look like Lori. And wouldn't it be just like Lori to mix up hr fetus with somebody else's?
-
Then Rick could mock Negan by showing him that he has the actual original Fonzie jacket. And Dillinger's penis,

Not as bad a beginning as I expected.

Sort of puts a new twist on "If I only had a brain..."

When can we watch somethig get better?

In that case, don't let Negan eat any more.

Everything looks more promising than TWD does.

Best way to quiet a kid down is to give 'em The Cookie Speech.

I hope they let Eugene guard Negan. He'll put a little nitro in his grits to give him literally explosive diarrhea. Either that or they put Carol in charge. And then Negan catches a cold and starts to disply flu-like symptoms...
-
But then he'd be carrying a big stick.

Tonight's episode: "A New Beginning:" Rick and his group make a risky run to D.C. in search of tools they need to build the new world Carl envisioned. So I guess the ultimate plan is to gather tools to sneak into Negan's cell and listen to him ramble about his penis: "I say, cock, that is, I say, get it boy? That was, I say, a cock joke!" ... I am so not ready for this. If it came back in, like, February, I could look forward to it as a very guilty pleasure. But it's happening now. And even if we don't watch it now, we'll probably eventually peek. Or we'll simply hear about it, and still maybe wish we could have commented and/or heard the comments of whoever is still watching. So, let the drinking and the questioning of our life's priorities commence!

S07.E09: The Forecast Manufacturer

I'm not even sure it's possible to have a funnier time travel episode than "House of Mummies," but I do want to see them try. -
I was underwhelmed. Oh, I know it's early in the new season, and the writers have a history of using long slow fuses, so I'll be back next week for more and I expect I'll be happier. This thing, though... in the whole thing combined, I felt like I got almost-but-not-quite as many laughs and smiles as I usually do from one normal episode. Having the cast floundering around seperately just sucks too much life out of the show. I understand the narrative reason for it, but I did still had to fight the urge to fast-forward. I did love Simone, though. This week, she is totally my favorite character. And, while Jason's story tends to be the one that I care least about, I think the single funniest line of the ep was in his arc. "Well, for one thing, you've got about forty people on stage..."

Zaniest thing about the Phantomos versus Gathers rivalry is that both of them, completely seperately, in different ways, and for different reasons, have had their penises removed and then reattached.

On the other hand, Red Death did give one hell of a defense of old-time villainy.

At the time I found it to be strange but enjoyable. I watched it many times, not actually realizing that it was the first complete episode to occur post-shark. The ending of "Premeval," where if a Slayer combines powers with a mediocre-powered witch she can suddenly turn machine gun bullets into living doves, was the first time I completely just called bullshit on a serious plot climax. But, after that, "Restless" seemed harmless enough, and I was able to enjoy it under the asumption that the show would soon be back on track. Today, however, I recognize it for what it was: a space filler that was written by Joss Whedon while still under the influence of the huge amounts of anasthetic that the hospital must have had to give him while

I liked it because I like puppets. It's more interesting as a light dramatic mystery than it is as a comedy. The prolonged "joke" scenes were actually cringe-worthy, but some of the plot elements were clever enough that, the further into the movie I went, the better it held my interest. The main villain is pretty obvious, if you know what a Chekhov's Gunman is, but their actual identity and motivation was still a good twist. I think if I'd waited for streaming I might have taken a break and split this into two viewings, but I'm pretty hard to please in the theatre and I made it through this okay. With a longer run time and better world-building, or with a shorter runtime and less hamhandedly-delivered attempts at comedy, this would easily be a four star movie. As it is, I still give it three and a half. I barely laughed at all, but I was only bored during the parts where they tried way too hard to make me laugh. "Family Guy" knows how to beat a stupid or gross joke into the ground until it becomes hilarious. This movie doesn't.

S07.E04: The High Cost Of Loathing

Considering how hard it usually is for Rusty to find cash, how is Dean able to just write a one million dollar check? -
All I know is that I have been waiting almost my entire life to hear that riff about stupid little masks.
