Remember the Wolves, and how they could control entire zombie herds with disco lights? Learning asome of that shit by now might have come in handy.

Nobody has a machete or axe that's faster than that knife amputation?

Especially Glenn and Maggie.

I do not give a fuck about this guy. We're all drunk right now. Why do we need his monologue? I mean, it's not like he's Neil's father.
-
But without noses, how do they smell? Slightly less than Daryl.

Hershey is already sitting upright? On Day 35.

You know, if you'd asked her to make a sculpture, she'd be half naked by now.

My beard has been uncontrollably scraggly lately. I thought I was okay with it, but now even RICK'S is all perfect and even?

Dude, you just got beat up by a ten year old. Now you're gonna piss off Daryl?

If there's a bug going around, just send Carol. Thin out all these god damned red shirts a little.

Jerry is getting some. ETA: I love how that's the only thing any of us even care about.

Banishing only makes sense if you can decidedly get rid of them and stay rid of them. But in this case, Gregory would still be wandering the general vicinity as an outlaw. And, yes, with enough of a surprise advantage, even he can be dangerous. So the only way to beat him and keep him beaten is to be done with him for good. As Shane once asked Rick: "We tried to kill each other, man. What did you think, we gonna forget about it all, we're gonna ride off into the sunset together?" I can give a pass to most of the grunts who were just fighting for the side that everybody they knew was on, but Gregory wasn't stopped by peacetime. Honestly, the only thing that did slow him down was that he sucked at killing. So he was pretty much limited to the Sideshow Bob argument. "Attempted murder, what is that, really? Do they give a Nobel prize for attempted chemistry?"

I think Brock was serious enough that he was going to use the gun. Remember, he did say back in S1 that the blackout ops were among the few people he actually respected. So now that I think about it, a lot of his taunting and gloating and dressing up as a Samurai was largely for psychological effect, to acomplish things like making them forget how to count. Although a good chunk of it was still just because he's Brock fucking Samson. One thing I didn't catch until the second viewing was that the reason he was willing to take a close range gunshot was that he was betting they'd aim for the chest... and hoping they didn't know he had an armor-plated sternum. I wish we'd seen more of their Saphrax story. Come on, you can't just dump him being angry about a magic chicken giving bad advice on us without elaborating a little!

This episode showed that there was a lot more to Coral's vision of how the new world should be than just not killing Negan. It also focused on the importance of cowboy-era props and as many people as possible wearing big stupid hats. All in all, it wasn't as bad as I expected, but that extended runtime is just too much. If they would just lighten the hell up on the ten second pauses after each sentence, everything that happened this week could have fit into a much snappier normal length episode.

That wasn't too bad...

Yup. Robbed a museum yesterday. Nineteenth century horse and buggies that are stuck in the mud will be the safest place on earth.

So far, Talking Dead seems a lot calmer than it used to be. Hardwick isn't jumping on the furniture, they aren't blasting us with annoying music, it actually seems like a fairly normal interview show. What happened?
-
Hey, they stole my joke!

Gregory earned what happened to him, and Maggie made the correct decision. But, it kind of bugs me tha they kill off the villains I actually enjoy, like Simon and Gregory, while the ones I'm sick of can stay around forever.

See, Negan? There are guys who are way more hung than you.

Maggie is making sense.

You know, if thse people stepped it up a little and just conversed at a normal speed, you could have kept all the dialogue and this episode would have been over twenty five minutes ago.

I'd like to Gegory level up a little bit and be a major villain this season. The same actor was absolutely terrifying on "Being Human." Even the other monsters on the show were afraid of him.

No, but he'll offer them as many bullets as they can catch.
