  1. Agreed. I guess I'm just tired of Liv acting like a jackass to Major and then getting pissed off at him when he doesn't 'understand.' She still hasn't admitted that turning him into a zombie against his will might have been a mistake.
  2. Now THAT would be an interesting pair. Also, remember that Jemma said IT felt like was once powerful, but had faded with time. I'm thinking we haven't seen what IT is really capable of yet.
  3. Of course, YMMV. I just think besides Andrew, May really has little to do and being the generic badass is just boring. There's just no chemistry. They're bland and boring. At least with FitzSimmons, they're fun to watch.
  4. We know less than nothing about the worm thing. It could have crawled into Ward just as he was still barely alive. I can see them retconning it that way. They love the actor so they are not going to let him go.
  5. Zombie Ward will die, leaving memory-wiped Ward alive and well so he can join SHIELD. You watch - it'll happen (unfortunately).
  6. He's actually a pretty terrible leader of SHIELD. What he did the following two episodes would be akin to the head of the CIA running off to gun down some former agent who killed his two-week girlfriend. Sure, it's REMOTELY possible it might happen, but no one would ever trust his judgement or leadership ability again. And I agree about the Simmons/Will thing. The story line did absolutely no favours for her character, that's for sure. The whole thing was set up and executed very poorly. There are so many inconsistencies about what went down on the planet and how Simmons reacted to it afterwards. From her weird PTSD that lasted a day or so, to her lashing out at Fitz on two separate occasions, the whole thing was just weird. I was sort of let down by the execution of it, but Elizabeth Henstridge acted the heck out of it, so I liked it more than I should of. Ian did a great job as well, but now his character is in a crappy position, having killed the 'man' that Simmons loved. Can't wait to see how that plays out.
  7. I liked the episode, generally. A bit boring and didn't match the hype given by the stars. Loved FitzSImmons as always. Ward was an ass as usual, but then died. Biggest WTF of the night? That Coulson could take Ward in hand-to-hand combat. Not a fricken chance. We've seen ward (who is like 10 years Coulson's junior) take out five armed goons at once and Coulson manages to take him out? That was pretty stupid. Loved Hunter waving for the camera (like Fitz did in season 1) and for saying "I don't know about anyone else, but I will probably run." May was useless as usual to the general plot. Time to kill her off. I really liked Joey, with his Dalek bullet melting system. Overall, good mid-season finale (whatever that means), but did not leave me desperately wanting more.
  8. Not a great episode. The brain was useless except for how happy it made Ravi. Liv was an idiot breaking up with Major. I so want him to revert back to a zombie and when she says 'finally we can be together,' he just tells her to piss off.
  9. It always rings a bit hollow when someone bitches and moans about how attractive they are. Boo hoo! Tonnes of doors are opened for me because I'm so blonde and beautiful! Woe is me!
  10. The term 'manpain' is simply sexist. Why is it that male characters cannot experience pain without it being denigrated? Why does it have to be ridiculed in a sexist way when female character pain is not?
  11. It's BOTH of their stories. Just because the entire story doesn't focus completely on Simmons doesn't make it any less of an interesting story.
  12. I liked the whole dialogue around the possession. "You tried to fuck me and then kill me ... You tried to make me smoke weed out of a shotgun. That sounds like a fun party!" Heh.
  13. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. First time I haven't hated the cop. Also, what's up with Lucy Lawless? Has she been lying to the cop? Very much liked the interactions between Kelly and Pablo as well. I'm rootin' for that crazy twosome!
  14. Heh. The FitzSimmons Retrieval Extraction Divison, or FRED.
  15. Yeah. At this point, it's an almost certainty that Fitz or Will is coming back possessed by IT from the planet.
  16. In that promo, that's Will walking beside Fitz. So we know Fitz finds Will.
  17. The scene showed Coulson going through the portal, just really really fast. Talking about agency but then reducing a male character's emotions to 'manpain' kind of spoils the effectiveness of what you are trying to say (not you specifically; this is a more general comment). And the reason Fitz is going through the portal is because Jemma is STRONGER then him. She held up under physical torture while Fitz did not hold up under mental torture.
  18. Thank you! Why didn't he tell Trish to kill herself immediately if he died? BEFORE he stupidly walked up to Jessica? It's a gigantic plot hole and it didn't make any sense. Other than that, I thought the series was awful, EXCEPT for Tennant. He was pretty good in the role. But everything else was a mess. Ritter was AWFUL as Jessica. She just couldn't pull out the gravitas for the role. Simpson was another poor choice, actor-wise. And what was the point of the divorce story line? Was there any real point at all except for Trinity to cut the wire? This could have been an eight or six episode series and it would have been fine, albeit poor. The only thing that saved it was Tennant. Replace him with a mediocre villain and most of the audience would have switched off after the third episode. I personally think it was a Marvel mis-fire and doubt it will get a second season. it doesn't deserve it. YMMV.
  19. I don't think ascribing racist motives to people without any proof is very generous. I prefer my 'smoldering' characters to NOT be rapists, but YMMV.
