I'm sure Ryan has a ton of buddies but I do believe that he and Chase are best friends so a) Chase was the most likely to be talked into any scheme that Ryan cooked up and b) it's more palatable to both of them because they already spend a ton of time together and this just gives them a way to monetize the hanging out they are doing already.

Maybe she just calls them that because they were in a fraternity together, but they have some bro-like tendencies.

I'm sure Chase is a Pi Kappa Alpha bc he shows a lot of that frat's stuff in his IG photos. But is there any info that Ryan is his frat bro? Granted, during college years bros in a frat tend to hang out together, but it's not impossible that Chase & Ryan were friends in college without being in the same frat. Or that they met after college & linked up bc of their college affiliation, not a frat affiliation.

    Does anyone know for sure?

Simply unwatchable.  Unfortunately seems that no one else is watching either, and I can't even get a decent report of the non-action here!  Damn it.....

My BA is in history. No way would I choose to watch MBFFL over the senate impeachment trial.

  3. @Irate Panda, in the SM thread, you asked me: "why do you think Ryan is conniving?"

I don't have a good answer for you; it's more a feeling than anything I can express. He rubs me the wrong way. I think he is pompous & way too full of himself. I am suspicious of his being on call for Twit 24/7 -- real friendship or opportunity for more camera time? I vote for the latter since I see him as opportunistic as well as pompous & conniving.

And that characteristic can be seen in the way he inveigled his way onto MBFFL. I know some of you don't believe Ryan & Twit met on a dating app. I absolutely do believe it. He saw her, knew she has a TV show, pretended an interest so he could get a date, turned on the charm -- doesn't take much for Twit to be charmed by any male -- and the next thing is a prominent role on a reality show. Excepting Twit, he had the most amount of time on the first 2 episodes. Pretty good going there, Ryan.

Honestly I was wondering why we should buy it  as well. I’m half a country away so also not involved except to hate watch.

what on earth would their show be about? Better yet, who would be their target audience? I don’t dislike either per se but I also really don’t give an eff about them or their lives other than the wee bit of joy I get from this forum. They are not TLC material for sure unless they are hiding some grotesque physical deformity.

Being a cast member on a reality show seems to cause some ppl to think they are star material. Maddie on MBFFL. First daughter -- can't remember her name -- and her moron hubby from Honey Boo Boo. Many others. I don't doubt for a minute that conniving Ryan sees himself as the star of a TV show. From his IG page, he spends a lot of his SoCal time cozying up to Jacob of PMG. I think he is a pal of a fat, gay guy as much as I believe he is a pal of a fat, narcissistic female.

Where did Ryan and Chase say they could have their own shows?  Although I could see Ryan trying to branch out into other things.  I think if all this is fake Whitney knows what’s going on.   The reason I say this is if there was some sort of scheme she didn’t know about, wouldn’t she wonder why her fiancé is off in a whole other town and is never around for the holidays?  I mean she was playing Scotland Yard tracking down every woman ever spoke with, wouldn't she have some clue she was being hoodwinked?  I’m not saying this is real, I’m just saying if it’s fake I think she knows.  I’m curious why you think she doesn’t know?  No judgement, just wondering.

I can believe that PMG (prod. co.) could recognize how egotistical Twit is & play off that, with the connivance of Ryan who brought his ol' pal in on the con. I'm not necessarily saying I think it happened that way, just that I can see the possibility.

Chase always  looks  dirty and  unkempt  to me. Maybe  he and Twit were  made for  each other.

ITA. His clothes. His beard. And especially his hair which appear unwashed for weeks on end.

There're a photo or several of him with no beard & short hair on his or Ryan's IG  page. Not bad-looking -- tho decidedly on the average side of the spectrum -- when he's cleaned up. But all that unkempt hair? Nope.

No, Whitney, Lola doesn't think you are Natalie. Nobody mistakes you for Natalie, especially not a dog, who I am sure has no trouble smelling the difference.

Hell, even with my palate & sniffer burned out with 30 years of smoking, I could probably smell Twit a block away. 😷

Alas, this one requires a monthly fee.

But I went to amazon & found some devices that tie into a landline -- I have no cell service where I live -- and have no monthly fee. Unfortunately, the customer reviews on each are mixed. I guess I just need to bite the bullet, choose one & see if it works for me.

BTW, to find these items, search for

  9. The data below is the kind of info Twit could have given Babs & Glenn.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:

One in four Americans aged 65+ falls each year.

Every 11 seconds, an older adult is treated in the emergency room for a fall; every 19 minutes, an older adult dies from a fall.

Falls are the leading cause of fatal injury and the most common cause of nonfatal trauma-related hospital admissions among older adults.

Falls result in more than 2.8 million injuries treated in emergency departments annually, including over 800,000 hospitalizations and more than 27,000 deaths.

In 2015, the total cost of fall injuries was $50 billion. Medicare and Medicaid shouldered 75% of these costs.

The financial toll for older adult falls is expected to increase as the population ages and may reach $67.7 billion by 2020.

Re: Buddy vs Tal rent, didn't Buddy originally rent the attic?
I seem to remember him complaining of the heat, and maybe getting AC.

Both Buddy & Tal lived in the attic apt at different times. When Buddy left to go into rehab, Tal moved in. He was still there when Buddy returned & took the bedroom that used to be Donna's.

  11. I'm of 2 minds about Babs' need for a device that she can use if she falls & can't get up. At the age of 81 with a few falls under my belt, including  one which required 2 hunky firemen to get me back on my feet, I'm well aware of my own need for such a device. This particularly became clear when in the space of one week, I learned of 2 ppl I knew who fell in the shower. One wasn't found for 3 days, went into a coma & died shortly thereafter. The other had to go into an assisted care facility where he died a year later.

But I live in one of the few parts of the country without cell phone service. So, thus far, I have not found a suitable device.

But, as @Ketzelpointed out, it's the way Twit approached her parents. She could have done some research, pointed out how many elderly ppl die each year from a fall, THEN offered to pay for a subscription after a discussion. Instead, she bullies her way in, device already in hand & demands Babs use it. Much as I am aware of my own need, I would have bristled, too, if someone came at me that way.

  12. Random thoughts
📌 I wonder if PMG (prod. co.) is setting up Twit's old friends. In one way or another all except Ashley (so far) have been presented as unpleasant ppl to be around.  Maybe PMG is looking ahead for cast cost-cutting by dumping old friends next year for the shiny new ones.
    📌 I can't stand pompous, conniving Ryan.
📌 According to Twit: "Maybe [Buddy] was sucking my masculine energy. . . . He has been a man-repellent for me."  No, no, no. What's repellent is your narcissism, your blaming your wgt on everything but overeating, YOU.
📌 Twit first sez her biz with Ryan is taking up 80% of her time, then she increases it to 90%. Either way she'd be unable to eat, sleep, nap, nap some more, go to Crossfit, etc. Somehow I doubt that percentage.
📌 New Whitticism: dramer = drama.
📌 It's hard to believe Twit's feet were so filthy that they stained Buddy's duvet.
📌 I liked Tal's comment that "Buddy will have to do what every other adult has to do -- find his own housing." Unfortunately, that will probably be a boring plot arc for the rest of the season.
📌 Now the kiss is Twit's "demon spirit." And she continues to demand that we believe she & Buddy were intimate some years ago. (Only if he was drunk & blacked out.)
📌 Yet another episode where Heather is portrayed as feeling "weird about everything." This is so unfair to Heather.
📌 OMG, the braying while Ryan is picking thru Twit's closet.
📌 For those who don't follow Twit's SM pages: when she comments that Jessica advised her to have someone walk on her back, that happened on a cruise a couple of years ago. Twit popped a rib, telephoned J from the ship & got those idiotic instructions. (I believe it was Donna who did the walking then.)
📌 It took me a couple days to get around to watching this episode & even so, I couldn't manage it in one sitting. MBFFL just gets more & more boring.

  13. Twit is full of info today. Her IG story is a video of how her extensions are applied & other hair care info. She said 90% of her hair is actually extensions. That's probably hyperbole, still, it's obvious that she has lots of bald spots covered up with extensions & powdery stuff.

I wonder if Chase watched? I wonder if he's realized he's engaged to a rapidly balding lady?

And speaking of surprises for Chase: Twit also included a video of her sobbing about  a conversation she recently had with an unidentified male. She was trying to explain PCOS, including its effect on reproduction possibilities.  I can't help wondering if the male was Chase. Finally.

  14. Well, I have to disagree: I don't think Twit should marry anyone until she changes her ways thru massive therapy. Marriage is a partnership. Twit, as she is now, will never be a partner in a relationship. Frankly, I feel sorry for Chase, hope he sees the error of his ways & can extricate himself from the current situation.

BTW,  a couple of times he said, "I'm 29, almost 30." Twit will be 36 in April. So the age dif is more like 6 yrs, rather than 7 or 8.
