ITA about the apparent staging of the Val Day photos & the stiffness of their comments. More & more, I have come to believe that Chase's comments are directed by Twit. At the least, she tells him when it's time to post one & gives him a general idea of what to write. At the most, she actually DMs him with the wording of a post & tells him to put it up on his IG page.

What the hell are we doing, being in this thread? Twit has NO redeeming qualities.

Great catch! However did you think to look for this info?
I'll bet not one Severino ever set foot in "the family yurt" until MBFFL was filmed. More unreal "reality" programming.

I get mac and cheese and mashed potatoes every time I go to Cracker Barrel. They are also both staples in a lot of Thanksgiving meals. I honestly don't think it's that odd at all. It's not going to win you any points for good health but it sure is tasty.
I do know that both dishes are staples for African-Americans at Thanksgiving. But I'm surprised at the feedback I've got here on the forum. Obviously, it's not that strange to pair the 2 at a regular meal. Thanks for the info!

OMG, if you're going to bread chicken at least put enough breading on it so you don't see a half inch of uncoated white meat chicken on all sides of each spot of breading!! . . . .
I dated a southern guy once (I'm from NYC originally) and didn't find out until 6 months into the relationship that his first name was really "Ashley", which I knew was also a male name thanks to "Gone with the Wind".
Did anyone else hear Twit say something about mac 'n' cheese & Thomas say, "the mashed potatoes are good."? In my wildest menu- planning, I cannot imagine serving both of those side dishes at the same meal. That's the 2nd time Twit has. The other was when she invited her pals to a meet-Nada buffet. But that was a BUFFET.
I don't think it would happen these days -- I'm 81 -- but in my South/Southwest youth, I knew a Beverley, a couple of Carols & even a Cathy who were males. I recall their GFs being more embarrassed than the boys about that.

I wasn't sure where to post this. It's photos of her engagement celebration. There are some that are really good. My goodness, I'm in shock really. If this is a giant hoax, they sure did spare no expense. lol
Maybe post it in the Unpopular Opinions: Whitney's Fabulous! thread?
All these photos are from the Paris trip which took place 6 or so months ago. You can go upthread several columns to find an extensive discussion at that time.

Random thoughts
📌 Chase is another guy who bends to Twit's demand that she always drive the car. That's a very controlling characteristic on her part. I wonder if he realizes that is predictive of how their relationship will be in other instances.
📌 Ryan will be taking care of the cats. This is an asshole who uses Henchi as a weight. (And don't think that cat doesn't remember him.) And his dog Darla as a barbell. I wouldn't allow him within 10 feet of my animals.
📌 Mom's at a conference -- HA! I reiterate my comment last week about Chase's mom's absence: she wants no part of this shit show her son has gotten himself into. And told him so, I bet.
📌 Twit can talk to her parents from WV, but can't call Buddy to tell him she's not coming? (Or all the other ppl she talked into going tho only Tal & Jon bit.) If "wifi" works for the parents, why not Buddy?
📌 I smell foreshadowing for S-8 in Tal's TH about his disappointment that Twit was a no-show at Buddy's performance. He speaks about how Twit's old friends seem to be going their separate ways & see little of each other any more. I suspect they will be gone entirely by next year.
📌 Glenn & Babs once again revealed how controlling & selfish they are when they grumbled about Twit & Chase visiting his family in WV.
📌 Twit claims to have known Buddy 20 years. Not really true. She met him while they were both in h.s. but was not his friend then. They became friends about 5 years ago when the MBFFL producers needed a straight male in the cast & only had a pizza deliveryman to choose from. Yet Twit wants to tell us she would give up a serious BF for Buddy? HA!
📌 We now have Avi (via Nada), Ashley & Todd's father (via Todd) saying Twit is "loud." Maybe someone should tell her that to her face.
📌 Buddy, in his TH, was very ungenerous about Tal & Jon coming to his show. Not only were they present -- Twit wasn't -- but also kind & complimentary afterward.
📌 Well, the question we had when Twit & Chase got together is answered: they have NOT discussed having children.
📌 I thought the forum comments were very good, so I had little to add as is obvious. I find it more & more difficult to have any thoughts, random or otherwise, about this increasingly overly scripted show. There's almost nothing realistic about any of it. Like so many of you I 'm not sure how much longer I can watch MBFFL.

And the shirt (second picture) answers the Pike question.
There wasn't a Q about Chase's membership since his IG page is full of pics with Pike stuff. The Q was about Ryan.

To play Devil’s advocate, I mean Whitney’s a mess but besides her being fat I think she could hide her nonsense long enough to meet his family for the FIRST time and for all we know Chase and his family could be a bunch of thieves, bums, or crazies so they’d feel Big Whit were a catch, at least money wise.
She can't disguise that braying laugh.

Doesn’t Dancing with the Stars have a consistent cast of professional dancers who are then paired with celebrities who aren’t dancers? Whit probably assumed she hasn’t been invited because she’s a “professional dancer” so it would be unfair to the rest of the competition.
Oh, goodie! Yet another excuse for inability to do something.

It wouldn't surprise me if Twit's fans have tried to start a movement to get her on DWTS. So many of them have suggested that for years.
What they don't realize is that Twit would never accept an invite, if offered. Even she is not so delusional as to think she is a REAL dancer who could do REAL dance steps for a REAListic period of time.

Fat floats. Doesn't make you a great swimmer, though. It takes a ton of work to swim in open water and that's if you're not trying to straight up swim upstream.
It's also very difficult to dive to the pool bottom when you are fat.

In a different thread @Irate Panda said: "She’s literally sucks the joy out of all of these things. I feel sorry for any man that actually would marry her. Imagine living with the screaming and braying for the rest of your life. "
That braying is the worst thing about Twit for me. My ears ring when I merely hear her on my tablet's less than stellar speakers. What must it be like to be in the same room with her? Or even in the great out of doors? Remember Heather commenting about all of Twit's screaming & braying during the ATV run in AK?
I hate the fans who comment about how cute her laugh is. What's the matter with them? And it just encourages her.
If -- Big IF -- the Twit/Chase love affair is for real, it ain't gonna last long. Not with her braying, not to mention all her other unplesantries.

Can I ask where these numbers came from? Are they this low because of her supposed PCOS or are you saying they’d be this low to lose 3 pounds? It seems somebody 350 lbs would lose weight at 2000/day until they get to a more average weight. She weighs more than 225 pounds more than I do and I lose weight on 1200 calories/day.
I was given this info many years ago by a dietician. When she told me I was eating about 6,000 cal/day -- I don't remember the actual number -- and designed a 1200-cal daily plan for me, I cleverly said, "Why can't I eat 3,000 cals a day?"
She said it just doesn't work that way. I'm not a dietician; I don't know why it doesn't work. But you nonbelievers, take a look at Dr Now's meal plans: they are for 1200-cals a day, no matter what size his patient is.

ITA about Twit & Ryan, @Irate Panda, and should have mentioned that. I watched a few minutes of the sample nobsactive session & was struck with how impossible at least one exercise would be for super obese ppl. So that's what I was writing about.

Well I would be interested but if you’re out of shape like 400-500 and don’t want to go to the gym I could see maybe you’d be interested but I honestly think a lot of the members probably just get it to feel like they are interacting with Whitney and Ryan.
They're supposed to modify their exercises for the very fat. There's no way I could have gotten down on my back & thrown one leg over the other when I weighed 380+ #s. (Nor could Twit, I would bet, when she was around 400 #s.) So I don't they're actually following thru with their promise that all their exercises are possible at any weight.

Oh - got it and totally agree, though I think it's good for (in this example) Heather to say to Chase "I'll give you a day to tell her and then I'm going to" before going to Whitney with the news herself.
No way would Twit act this way, were the roles reversed. She can hardly wait to deliver any bad news she hears to anyone about anything.

What's interesting to me is that they were members back when the hazing incident occurred that got the Pike chapter kicked out. Apparently they took a pledge to the mountains and forced him to drink until his BAC, measured by the hospital, was .42 --- 5 times the legal limit in NC and very near fatal.
Great guys.🤬
Why am I not surprised that those 2 would be involved in an uber-drinking event?

If you read the comments by his followers on that photo, one of THEM asks if he's a Pike and he replies that he is. Someone else asked if Ryan is also a Pike and Chase replied that Ryan is. I didn't say that you claimed he was.
Wow, thanks for that info. I am the one who asked the Q about Ryan, but I never saw that Chase replied. I'll have to take another look at his comments under the photo now that I know. Again, thanks!
ETA: I just checked & there's the answer to the Q I have had since Chase turned up as Ryan's BFF. Their being frat bros makes a lot of sense since they both often act like they're still in college.

Hey, I don't remember where the discussion was about what frat Chase and Ryan were in, so I'll put this here. On Chase's IG page, the pic with him bartending for a frat party, someone asked if he was a Pike and he said yes. He said Ryan is too. (Was that your new IG account, @Dot ?)
I posted the bartending photo, but I never said Ryan was a Pike. In fact, I don't think that's been proven yet.

It's not entirely clear to me where Buddy lived when he wasn't living with Whitney (in earlier seasons. I know he lived with his brother after rehab, in a sober living place and with a girlfriend). I don't think he has ever made enough money to live on his own unless he rented a room in a house with a bunch of other people.
I think he lived with his parents until Twit suggested they rent a house together (S-2?) A couple of seasons later, Twit bought that house & Buddy became her rarely-paying-his-rent tenant.

Random thoughts
📌 Does the episode title, "Work on the Jerk," refer to a weight-lifting move? Or an obnoxious, self-proclaimed bro named Ryan?
📌 Twit really eats like a pig -- shoveling a huge forkful into her mouth, then chewing it with her mouth wide open. Where was that delicate Southern Belle, Babs, when Twit should have been taught table manners?
📌 Ryan's attitude about trainer education is appalling. It makes me even more convinced all his "certification" is phony.
📌 Again with the "when Buddy finds out [about Heather & Ryan kissing]." What possible difference will that make to Buddy? And who cares about his opinion about anything?
📌 And why all the emphasis in this episode about Buddy? Do we forget he exists when he is not in view? (We could only wish.)
📌 I liked the way Heather called Twit out for saying -- about Ryan -- "WE can't be in a relationship with him?"
📌 More boring weight lifting video. At this point I am only interested if she drops a 125 # weight on her toe.
📌 Could Chase have been more bored as Twit went on and on about Babs & Glenn? His eyes glazed over & I thought he might go to sleep.
📌 When Chase was naming the ppl Twit would be meeting in WVA, he mumbled something about his mom not being around. I have the feeling she told him "no way" was she going to be in this shit show he got himself involved in.
📌 So Twit can now add white-water rafting "to the never-ending list of things fat bitches can do." The problem with that list is she fails to add that all those "things" have required the assistance of other ppl to some degree.
📌 "I should feel proud -- not like a big fat failure." (New & better name for MBFFL?)

Social Media: What's Up With Her?
in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
I use a tablet, so I'm not always sure what I'm seeing. Is Twit's torso bare? Are those her nipples? I think the photo is creepy, too, and also wonder who's taking a photo of a mating couple as they sleep. Ryan? Buddy? Daddy? (It wouldn't surprise me if it were Glenn since he admittedly likes to record every moment of his baby's life.)
Or maybe it's Donna Lee? Who perhaps lives in the rafters & comes out occasionally to haunt Twit.
