  1. Anyone else think Troy looks like Bill Hader? The show has been fun lately.
  2. The show really went downhill this season, it will take more than Matt being gone to improve it. They need to get back to baking, nice traditional baking. Cookies, pies, bread, pastry. There is no reason why they can't reuse challenges, and surely there are enough recipes in the world to keep them actually baking. Not frying, not cooking. Baked goods. And I like Noel, but can do without comments about blood and death. He was so charming the years Sandy was hosting with him. Better yet, bring back Mel & Sue.
  3. Yep, I posted about it a few posts back. Wonder which episode they will run tonight.
  4. The network messed up then. They introduced him as a 2 day winner with $50k and some winnings. For whatever reason, they aired tomorrows epi.
  5. Just started watching tonight's episode and they introduce the champ as a 2 day winner?
  6. Malloy will always be the doctor smoking pot who is responsible for doctor Romano having a helicopter dropped on him. (From ER many moons ago)
  7. Geez, he's almost 20 years older than she is. This epi was a yawn.
  8. My husband and I thought the same thing. It's horrible.
  9. Does Dottie still live with Bob? Doesn't she have a house of her own? The show is tanking. It's not funny or charming anymore.
  10. I'm finding it impossible to express my thoughts on this season, so broken sentences it is. Hugely disappointing. No longer charming. No longer about baking. Unfunny hosting. Awkward ill cast host. More fails than showstoppers. Not enough time allotted too many times, which led to most fails. Obviously biased editing. Not enough actual baking. How far it's fallen. From a spectacular bread lion, to limp asparagus, baby corn, and a cucumber fishing rod. The latter belongs in the Gallery of Regrettable Foods.
  11. I agree. He's appealing somehow, but not classically good looking. I think he is miscast as Charles. Especially in this time frame, Charles had a bumbling look about him, DW is coming off as menacing and outright cruel.
  12. That's not really the point. Many spices could be painful if gotten in your eye. Cooking at a hot stove with a baby on your front is a bad idea, no matter how you spin it. Toss some celery seeds or dried thyme in your eye, let us know how it felt.
  13. And once again, McCormick is running the commercial with the mom cooking at the stove with the baby strapped to her front. She spills a spice on the baby's head, and blows it away like it's nothing. Can you imagine what cinnamon would feel like in the baby's eyes? Or red pepper? Or salt? Or the steam coming off the pans on the stove on the baby's feet? It's a horrible commercial for many reasons. I left a complaint on their web site last year and got a canned response about "considering my concerns."
  14. Not crazy about the cast so far. I can't recall seeing Diana always pursing her lips while hunching over like a vulture. I think the actress is over-playing it. Don't like DW as Charles. And I'm not sure the Queen was so angry looking all the time. Not really crazy about making Charles 100% the bad guy and Diana the 100% angel. I don't believe that's how it really was.
  15. Megan Thee Stallion's ColorStay lipstick commercial. So we are back to different color lipliner and lip shade? Gah.
  16. Wow, so very underwhelmed. I feel sorry for this season's bakers. They've been given so many ridiculous non-baking challenges. And when they finally get to bake, they have to make yet another cookie tower. The show isn't fun anymore. I like Noel and Matt, but Matt doesn't fit here. And even Noel has lost his sense of fun. I want Abdul to win. He seems the most "real" to me. But honestly, there is so little that stands out from this season, it's been a huge snooze fest.
  17. The Saggy Baggy Elephant, The Pokey Little Puppy, Are You My Mother, Peter Rabbit. Those children's books would have made amazing bakes.
  18. Boy do I miss baking on the Bake Off. What a disappointing season it's been. Spring rolls/egg rolls are not baking. You don't buy them in a bakery. Neither are tacos. An article in The Guardian says it well, https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2022/nov/03/great-british-bake-off-baking-show-lost-its-charm
  19. So, Max Dot is just a distributor? One delayed incoming shipment can ruin the company? Max Dot fulfills their orders from all these other suppliers? I thought they were a company that made compression socks, not just a company that distributed socks. This season is very boring. Too many ridiculous plots, a boat suddenly out on a lake with no training/license etc. Now the company is in danger of going under over one delayed shipment. The side characters that were fun are now only in one scene. Bah. I hate the treatment of Christine. I don't like her broad humor, but liked it when she was getting her act together. Their treatment of her is horrible and not funny. Companies have been dealing with delayed shipments for over 2 years all over the globe. This plot was insulting on many levels, especially the crack about Akron.
  20. Luke being a serial monogamist doesn't mean Anna was. I thought Anna mentioned a diary, not letters, but it's been a while since I've seen these episodes. Either way, Anna let April think it could be one of 3 men, which implies dating all 3 at the same time. For a science fair project...3 men and their pics, with a "Who's My Daddy" topic. Just a little cringy IMO. And surely implied to the other students and teachers that April's mom was a little free with her affections.
  21. Did Anna know for 12 years that Luke was the father? Or did she not know for sure until the Science Fair? I totally agree that the whole town would have known within 24 hours of April showing up in the diner. I didn't hate Luke's reaction and keeping it from Lorelei. It seemed in character to me. But it wouldn't have taken long for the truth to get around town, so that bit didn't ring true. Anna seemed very unstable to me. Had 3 men in her life at the same time, any of which could have been April's father? Spent 12 years either not knowing, or not caring about the man who didn't know he was a father, then gets all bent out of shape because her daughter and friends spent time with an unknown woman, while in the care of this man. Whom she didn't really know herself anymore Anna's character is all over the map, personality wise. Written to fit the need of the weekly script, but no continuity. Logan ends up being just like his father. It was his way or the highway, with the proposal. So very unlikable. If you're truly in love with someone, you don't so easily walk away. Real adult mature love wants what is best for the object of your love. It doesn't demand your own way in a life changing decision. The 4 extra episodes don't even deserve mention, aside from Emily walking away from the DAR etc. Her arc was the best thing out of the 4 episodes.
  22. I enjoyed this episode much more than the previous ones. The right person went home. Paul calling Dawn "mom" was cringy, he needs to buy a clue. I think it is time to give Sandro and Selasi from season 7 their own show.
  23. I'm not positive, but they look like tattooed brows. A family member of mine has them, I'm not a fan. Reb's looked uneven, too close together, and not natural at all. My brows are thin, and shall remain so. I fill them in a bit when getting dressed up, but not enough to be glaringly obvious.
  24. Pete Davidson in the Taco Bell commercials looks like a crack addict. We rarely eat there anymore, but his commercials just reinforce the idea that their food is gross, especially when I see it inside his mouth as he eats and talks at the same time.
